Taberna de Arcadia is a modern Arizona themed restaurant that serve its guests dishes drawn from a wide range of influences that Arizonans love. While the main focus is in-house smoked meats and vegetables, we also incorporate vertical rotisserie “al pastor style” items. We want to evoke the sense memories associated with those amazing BBQ experiences we have had in the past while trying to more directly focus on Arizona and what we truly believe the flavor profiles of this great state should highlight. Taberna de Arcadia is a local spot with smoked and rotisserie meats with an Arizona twist and a focus on local wood flavors like citrus, pecan, and mesquite. The meats are rubbed and smoked beautifully in an on-site smoker by our culinary craftsman lead by Chef Blaise Biller who has a passion for creating dishes with an emphasis on succulent and flavorful meats and vegetables.

I was looking forward to a great smoked meat experience, this was not it. I ordered the sweet potato gnocchi with smoked brisket. This gnocchi was stiff and heavy with no sweet potato flavor. The dish was mostly gnocchi with very little smoked brisket. My dining companion ordered the T. H. C. Taberna Hot Chicken. This could have been amazing but the chicken was very overcooked and the coating had been fried to the color of dark chocolate. My cocktail, Sandia Caliente, a spicy specialty drink shaken and served martini style, was room temperature. I won't be returning.

Service and food was excellent! We drove from Buckeye, AZ to try this restaurant for the 1st time. There were 6 of us in our group and we were all very satisfied with everything. Our server Jaimie was the best!

I enjoyed another experience at Taberna de Arcadia; I have been 3 times now and each experience has been very good! The cocktails are inventive and very good! the food is equally as good and flavor forward! Service is fantastic with friendly and knowledgeable servers! Really enjoyed it and will be back!

Decor is nice, upscale but the people working there are dressed as if they worked at a bar, not a restaurant.
Servers seem to be in a rush all the time.
Food was bland, again, more bar like quality, priced as if it was a restaurant thou.
Wouldn’t go back.

We had a reservation for 8:30, didn’t sit down until 9:10. Our waitress only came over once in 30min after being seated. When we got up to leave, the waitress wasn’t even apologetic; she only cared about who was going to pay for the drinks we left on the table. DO NOT EAT HERE. NOT WORTH THE HASSLE!

Following the suggestion of AZ Foodie we made a reservation. Everything was a flavor explosion in your mouth. From drinks to dessert could not find one item that was not GREAT!

I was pretty disappointed with my experience. It started off ok when we ordered and received the ceviche (long wait) but the food was good and this was the first item we received. Assuming the other items would shortly follow. The service was very slow and the food took extremely long to receive. We sat for over an hour before getting all of our appetizers which came out staggered with long duration between. When we finally ordered our entrees, the server had to come back and tell us the “recommended” beef ribs were sold-out. When we finally received our entrees they also were delivered staggered where each of us ate alone while the others waited. The food should come out together. I was also disappointed to learn the seasonal vegetable served with the salmon was just some crunchy kale sprinkled on top of the salmon 🥺. And to top off the meal I was charged double for my drink. Good thing I reviewed the bill. Total of over 2 hour experience and it was very disappointing.

Got there at our reservation time but was told it would take another 15-20 min to set up our table. Sat right next to a large party, so close that when they stood they kept rubbing up against us, or they had to slide behind us in which case they might as well sat with us. They didn’t really have a choice as our tables were too close. Later on we were told the tables had been added and weren’t part of the normal table set up. We sat for about 25 minutes before we got our drinks we had ordered when we sat. They were out of the appetizer we wanted which is fine so we ordered our entrees and waited for that for another 45-50 min. Our waitress told us she promised she put it in and that it was coming, which now made us think she forgot but who knows. We did notice another couple who was sat after us got their drinks before we did and in fact had an appetizer, and their entrees, paid their tab all before we got our food. Needless to say we were there much longer than we had anticipated due to the wait times. The food was good, we enjoyed the drinks, just wish we had a better service experience. We travel for good food and a good experience as we are always excited to try and support new places but don’t think we will go out of our way to return here. Hopefully they smooth out the kinks.

First time experience at Taberna. We were regulars at Arcadia Tavern. Loved the new decor and chandeliers. We were greeted and seated at high top even though regular seating requested on reservation and was available when we arrived — but they said it would be an extra 10-15 minute wait to clean off table. Only QR code available for menu which is very frustrating having to scroll up and down. The server was very friendly. Chips and salsa were good (esp the salsa!) but the chips were okay—I prefer a thinner chip that’s salty and warm upon serving. Tacos were delicious but could tell they were sitting for awhile before served. One of our main dishes was forgotten about and when finally served, also seemed to have been sitting around for awhile but was still tasty. Wine was good but only few options available, and seemed like a small volume served for the $10 price. The cheesecake dessert was delicious. Restaurant manager/owner(?) very nice and stopped by to ask us how everything was, which was a plus! Overall it was a good experience and will give this restaurant another try esp when it’s cooler out and all of the doors are all opened up to the patio.

First visit to this local new restaurant .. we sat at the bar .. great bartender .. nice mix of interesting cocktails .. I tried a vodka/lavender cocktail good enough to have a 2nd .. food was amazing although a cauliflower ceviche was a bit too tart for us .. don’t let that sway you from trying this place out .. very nicely decorated with Spanish tiles and three garage doors that come fall and winter will be most appealing for outdoor dining

Hostess staff was a bit confused as to where to seat us even though we had reservations. Obviously new and still learning but very polite and apologetic.
Due to the humidity and the restaurant being an open air type atmosphere, the air conditioning ductwork is sweating and dripping on to the floors.
Food- we had a couple of drinks which were great. Had the 1/2 lb beef and pork platters which were great as well. The poblano grits and sweet potato’s were awesome!
Our waitress was wonderful and very friendly. She checked back regularly.
We will be back!

Taberna was delicious! The smoked brisket flautas were incredible, chips and guac was amazing, and the half chicken was cooked to perfection! Service was awesome too! Definitely recommend.

Wow! What a great addition to the area! Could not decide what to order as everything looked so good on the menu and what we saw coming out of the kitchen. The tacos were amazing! We ordered one of each and could not pick a favorite. Also tried the cauliflower seviche which was super tasty and fresh. Wanted to try all the cocktails but one of us had to drive lol. Did try the Mamba which was delish! Will be a regular for sure as they were all so nice! Great local business

Great, great food great service. We had planned to eat outside but it was just too hot. The tables inside were spaced apart so that we felt comfortable to eat in for the first time since covid.
The food was all different flavors that I don’t cook at home. Chips with guacamole were homemade, and delicious. Brussel sprout salad with crispy pieces of pork belly was so large we shared it and it could have been dinner. The flavors were salty, acidic, and sweet and the vinaigrette broke down the texture of the raw brussel sprouts perfectly. The brisket in the flautas was tender and juicy. Mushroom taco needed something more, maybe crispy shallots or onions for flavor.
Grace our server described all the dishes well, and Blaise the chef stopped at our table to see how everything was. When asked, he described the ingredients in the brussel salad, and gave recommendations for next time, and we will definitely have a next time.

We had a light dinner here, ordering a number of appetizers and a salad. Everything was quite tasty. The service was very friendly and efficient. We plan to come back soon with a bigger appetite, since the rest of the menu (particularly the smoked items) was very interesting. It recently opened, so this might be in the works, but adding signage to the entry doors would be helpful -- it's a little confusing as is.

Food was fantastic, we had brisket, chicken, pork, and vegan tacos. Duck confit enchilada was cold but still good. The habenaro vodka was seriously hot, should be a warning on that one. Also ordered a mamba, menu says vodka but I got tequila. I think it would have been better with vodka and I’d have been able to have more to drink. Not everyone can drink tequila. Overall we’ll be back, however we understand growing pains since it has only been open a week or so. Don’t change the tacos!!!
