T-Prime Steak and Seafood Restaurant
Terrific restaurant! Warm atmosphere and great service. We had the Scarlet Snapper and Chicken Roulade and they did not disappoint! The lobster Mac is also a must. Will be back!
The restaurant itself is beautiful. The food was extremely hit or miss. When they brought out the steaks, my husbands was cooked beautifully. Mine (requested medium) was medium rare at best. I asked for it to be cooked a bit longer and it came back out the exact same. Just cooler the second time. As far as desserts, I ordered some type of blonde which ended up being delicious. My husband ordered a chocolate lava cake which was hard all the way through...no “lava”. It was extremely dry. He asked the server about it and she said they had been like that all weekend and apologized. She ended up taking that off the bill. For what we paid, the food was not what we expected. We will not be back, which is unfortunate.
Wonderful food and great service! Will definitely be returning!
Geat steaks at a reasonable price. The fish dishes were really good, and we loved the sides.
A great change to the normal downtown restaurants. Only bad tj I got was the constant cold breeze from the front door opening all the time. Great service, tasty food and nice ambiance
The food was very good except Risotto was under cooked. Ran out of drink a few times which was odd considering it wasn't real busy. Very pricey.
We went for a family Valentine’s Dinner. Our daughter is an extremely picky eater and she said the food was great. Never heard her say that before. I agree with her assessment.
Valentine’s Day was extra special with the Great Service and Amazing Food. Ian and his well trained staff are friendly and accommodating. John the Chef is in a league of his own. Please don’t tell anyone about our Secret Spot to dine. We want it to ourselves
A true hidden gem. We loved the food and the surroundings. We will be back.
The venue is extremely nice and elegant. Drink selection was great if you drink wine, but other cocktails were limited. The chicken noodle soup was excellent. The bread they bring out as sup-par. As far as the main course, we both had surf and turf (filet mignon with lobster tail). The lobster was perfectly cooked and tender. The filet was also cooked perfect, It was as tender as you could hope for. It did lack in flavor though. A simple kosher salt and pepper rub would have made it so much more flavorful. The lobster macaroni and cheese was fantastic. The garlic mash potatoes were just ok. Overall it was a very nice place to go for a more upscale date, but not a regular night out.
Beautiful setting and excellent, friendly service. We truly enjoyed the experience at T Prime. The restaurant has a nice atmosphere. The clubhouse is beautiful. All of the employees were courteous and professional. So, on my grading system, high marks on both ambiance and service...as for food quality, it was good but to be in the big league of steak houses, T Prime will need to find a new beef supplier. I had the ribeye. It was cooked well but it was surely not choice or prime beef, I suppose select. I will say the pricing was probably in line with the quality so overall, certainly not poor value. However, with such a beautiful setting and great staff, is a shame not to be able to rate T Prime higher due to poor beef quality. My date had salmon and it was excellent....
I took my wife for Valentine's date night. We really enjoyed it. The atmosphere, food, and service was great. My ribeye was perfect and the lobster mac and cheese was amazing!
Absolutely delicious! We will be going back.
Came here for nice evening dinner. Fantastic experience. Will definitely be back.
Valentine’s Day dinner. Food was delicious. However the lava cake we had for dessert tasted like it had been made days ago and was frozen in the middle... very dry and no lava. Other that that everything was good.
We went to celebrate our anniversary. They sent us out dessert on a plate with a happy anniversary written in chocolate. Everything tasted as good as it looked. Lovely
Love this restaurant!!! The food is some of the best I’ve eaten. I feel like I’m in a beautiful European restaurant when we eat at T-Prime. Service is beyond amazing so it’s a win win win... exquisite food, amazing service, beautiful ambience.
Talk about a hidden gem! If you haven’t had the chance this is a must! Quality of service is only second to the incredible food! Can’t wait for the patio to open back up!
Love this restaurant! This was our first visit. Amazed by not only the amazing food but also the amazing service! We travel to Europe often and we got a very European fell! Love love love it!!!
We ate outside with the heaters on. Excellent waitress and food was good. Everyone masked and felt safe. Will be back!
Great service
Food was delicious !
Pictures are deceiving, atmosphere is strictly golf, period. This is a grill and would not qualify as a “restaurant”. Extremely noisy and had not received a steak and potato order over an hour after ordering. Paid for drinks and left without eating. Will never return!
The food was delicious but by the time it was served, it was barely warm.
Wife’s birthday
We had a 6:30 reservation and had no problem finding a seat, because we were the only party in the dining room. The outside tables had several golfers. (This restaurant is actually in the Avalon Country Club)
Around 7:30, the dining room got busier. The food was fresh and the wait staff was pleasant. I would definitely go back.
We had dinner at T-Prime to celebrate my mother's 100th birthday. Everyone was very cordial and helpful. The food was delicious and the service excellent. At the end of our meal my mother was given a delicious dessert with Happy 100th birthday written around the edge of the plate in chocolate sauce. A lovely way to end a delightful meal.
Outstanding meal. I had the 9oz filet (they were sold out of ribeye) with mushroom risotto and lobster Mac and cheese. Filet cooked absolutely perfectly at mid-rare and seasoning perfect as well. Sides were both hot, large, and flavorful. Chef came by at end of meal to ask how everything was. Props to him for his concern and skill level.
Service gets a 3/5 due to two requests not being fulfilled. We asked for two more rolls and never received. Later I asked for a water refill and never received. Otherwise it was fine.
I would not hesitate to come back.
We made reservations for 11:45 for Father’s Day. When we arrived, they seemed surprised. They asked if we wanted to set in pool pato area. Sure. At 12:45, we finally asked for them to check on food. They apologized for the wait. At 1:00, the server asked us for a credit card because only Members were allowed in the pool patio area. What?! You asked us if we wanted to sit in the pool patio area. Finally, we got our food at 1:25. Our server kept apologizing. Said the Manager was coming to chat with us. That never happened. Food was actually very good according to my family. I had a stomach ache from stress so I did not pay attention to the quality. We were actually visiting to see if we wanted to join. Very disappointed. I ate here one other time and it was great. We saw 2 tables arrive after us, eat and leave before we even got our food. Word of advice, join before you go.
The hostess was very friendly. The server was attentive and the meal was delicious! The steaks were cooked to perfection and the fish was excellent! The chef even came out to ask how it was. We will definitely be coming back.
Excellent service. Fish was perfectly prepared. Even the other guests made kind comments.
We went the day after Valentine’s Day and the experience was great. Friendly and helpful staff was very attentive to our needs. Our meals were delivered in a timely manner. We never felt rushed. My wife received a pretty rose at the end of our meal. We will be back!
I was looking for somewhere we had never been before to take my wife for Valentines. Never even heard of T-Prime, but drove 30 min from Maryville as 1st time guests due to OpenTable and Google reviews. I don't regret doing it. Being a special night I can't comment on what it might be like on a daily basis, but they were certainly prepared for the night. Service was great, attentive but not annoying. Manager stopped by to check on dinner both before and after the meal. A few specifics about our order: the Avalon Shrimp appetizer was excellent. My wife had a wedge salad which she enjoyed. I had the New York Strip which fell into the "ok but not great" category for a high end steakhouse. The fat had not been rendered at all from the outside so my 14oz strip was about 10oz beef. The grilled asparagus was wonderful, not limp and overcooked as it often is. My wife's Filet Mignon was literally one of the best I have had in years. Obviously I don't know if they always hit that standard, but if they do I have found the best filet in the greater Knox /Loudon / Blount County area. I guess the most important part of any review for me is that we will return and see if they deliver that same quality consistently. If they do then we will be regulars.
Bake potato was cold’ steak was under cooked
Best kept secret in Knoxville. Steaks are great, spicy crab dip appetizer is a must! Creative menu and very good service!
Fine dining. Delicious food and good service. Will definitely return and tell others
Decided to visit since close to the house and wanted to see what their "a one of a kind experience" was all about. Arrived early before our reservation, but was seated immediately. Nice interior, intimate setting with view of lake and outside dining area. Service was outstanding. I had the filet, wife had the ribeye; sides chosen were the asparagus, mashed potatoes along with lobster mac and cheese. Food was UNBELIEVABLE. Steaks, mac and cheese were beyond awesome cooked perfectly and full of flavor. The chocolate cake we had for desert was fantastic, and came with a special presentation for our 40th anniversary. As Chef mentioned when he stopped at the table, a lot of people stay away from restaurants at golf courses because of the perception of the food at a golf course restaurant. T-Prime Steak and Seafood beats and blows away any preconceived ideas completely out of the water. This was an outstanding find--good food, good ambiance, quick and welcoming service--everything came together for a wonderful night out. The only down side is we might not tell our friends so we can keep the spot to ourselves. WE WILL BE BACK!
Great place to dine! Great food, service, and experience. Specials (ravioli, steak and meatloaf with truffle mash potatoes were outstanding.
I enjoyed the red snapper with vegetables and my husband had mushroom ravioli with beef tips. Both entrees were outstanding! If you haven’t tried this restaurant, you are missing out!
We made reservations before we left for December Sunday Brunch! We are looking forward to going back and bringing our family with us:)
My husband and I went to T-Prime recently with ‘early bird’ reservations for 5:30, arriving at 5:00 so that we could first have drinks in the tavern. - Atmosphere & decor was great, beer & wine choices were great, service was wonderful, (both in the bar and the restaurant) and the food was fabulous. - However, this place suffers from one flaw that is very common in ‘country club’ venues: not enough people know about it or assume it’s open only to members. - This makes for a somewhat underutilized space. - Avalon is open to the public and I believe needs to advertise more, perhaps offering more specials to bring in the general public. Based on our experience, (my husband had the filet and I had the Seafood pasta medley), if you try it one time, it won’t be your last!
We had a great experience with excellent food and drink. The crab dip was especially wonderful.
