The food was w prepared to our order and delivered in timely manner. Server did a good job. We enjoyed happy hour before dinner. The large seafood tower was good with generous amount of crab and lobster. Could r done without the ahi tuna but even it was well flavored. Sitting in the rotating shell added to the ambiance. Would recommend.
We went to Swizzle to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The restaurant did not disappoint. From the time we walked off the elevators on the 25th floor we felt like it was away from all the hustle and bustle from the streets below. The food was great, ordered the cowboy ribeye with asparagus and baked potato. We also got a side of mushrooms along with a BLT salad and shrip scampi appetizer. We enjoyed the rotating room allowing us to see the view of the river. The only bad thing was the weather and that it was foggy and rainy. Still had a great time and would refer this place for a romantic night on the town.
Awesome Sunday brunch. My husband and I had an amazing meal and the view is spectacular!!
Small bites is a great concept, however our food came out cold and didn’t seem fresh to order. The cookies taste like they were out of a box from the grocery. The staff and ambiance were awesome.
The food and atmosphere were excellent. What set Swizzle apart from other restaurants in the area was the service. Our server, Ramsey, gave an absolute master class in service and hospitality. Highly recommended.
Dinner was wonderful. The ambiance of this restaurant is exactly what we needed for a great birthday celebration.
We started the evening with two specialty drinks. Our favorite was Smoke on the Water. It was a bit strong for me so I switched to a nice glass of Bollini white wine.
Appetizers of gnocchi potatoes was nicely made and more than enough for two. Dinner was great. Steaks were fabulous, perfectly seasoned and cooked to both our likings. I got a filet medium and hubby got sirloin medium well. We ordered asparagus and a salad for our side items which we shared.
Service was good. The wait time for dinner was a little long which our water told us ahead of time kitchen was taking a little longer than normal, however we were in no hurry and had planned our evening accordingly to just enjoy and relax.
I would definitely recommend this to anyone for a nice romantic beautiful scenery view and great food. We very much enjoyed our dinner and celebrating my husband’s birthday here.
Over priced for what you got
We were in Louisville on vacation. I made reservations for three on Tues. Our meal, service and the atmosphere were so good that we canceled reservations we made for another restaurant on Wednesday so we could come back!!! Our friend ordered the exact same meal.... calamari and scallops. I ordered the caesar salad (great for sitting with someone since it's so large) and a small cold seafood platter. It would have been nice to have saltines and drawn butter. It was delicious! I did not care for the green tomato sauce but loved the cocktail sauce. My husband ate the other half of the caesar salad and shrimp scampi app. We loved every bite. If we lived in Louisville, we would be regular customers!!!
Sunday brunch is a tremendous value and you will NOT walk away hungry. Terrific and polite staff.
We loved the small plates. My wife particularly liked the eggs Benedict with crabmeat.
We booked Swizzle for brunch on a weekend getaway trip. Previous reviews suggested to ask for seating on one of the Wheels, the rotating floors. We secured a reservation for when they opened (the elevator will not take you to the 25th floor until the restaurant opens). We were one of the first groups to be seated. I asked the host (he may have even been a manager) upon check in if we could be seated on the wheel and we did not receive a response from him. As we were walked back to our table I asked again if seating on the wheel was possible. I was told that everyone was seated on the wheel. The restaurant has two rotating floors (wheels) with floor to ceiling windows and river views. While this a a great view; it’s also the view we had from our 1 Bedroom Executive Suite. Swizzle is sought after for the Wheels. After about 5 minutes at our table we noticed the floor was not rotating. Our waiter, who was very friendly and offered great service, explained to us upon our inquiry that the wheel we were seated on had stopped working the night before. While the menu offerings outshined the food itself, we knew we were paying for the experience and not the quality. So the expectation was not on the undercooked quiche or the apple tart that was cold yet somehow burnt on the edges. It was disheartening to realize that the host knew we requested to be on the wheel and intentionally chose to seat us as one of the only two couples on the broken wheel. While our waiter offered spectacular service that deserved to receive a chance at earning gratuity too, we felt the host set the tone and the food did not save the lack of what we hoped to experience. A simple explanation that one of the sides was not rotating and the option of seating window front without rotation vs. sitting on the rotating side would have been all that was needed for this to have been more enjoyable. We would have completely overlooked the lack luster execution of what could have been delicious food.
Very nice experience. Ordered the salmon a d it was excellent! Cooked perfect and food was hot a d fresh. Peter was our waiter and very attentive given he had a few tables in The Round. The seating experience in the Round was an awesome touch on the evening giving us great views. Would recommend to anyone!
Cash made our evening! Fantastic service. Overall great experience for a first date. Highly recommend!
Ordered two filets medium well, one was medium rare the other was well done. When I informed the server, he never tried to make it right. Also ordered shrimp cocktail for appetizers, when I asked the server about it, he insisted that I did not order it. He offered to put the order in, but our dinner was coming out.
The view was outstanding and the service was very good. The steak and mac & cheese arrived barely warm at best. They ran out of baked potatoes. The host was about as friendly as my boot camp drill instructor. It is too bad a restaurant this much potential delivers this kind of service.
Exceptional filet and the duck fst potatoes are delicious.
food was great. our server Ramsey was great. will be back.
Probably pandemic related, but the food was not on par for the cost. My and I shared a 12 oz filet ,medium rare; for $52 dollars Came out with no taste and medium well. Baked potato was cool and over cooked. Only the wine was good. Cash; our server; was great. He took good care of us but the food experience was not on the level expected.
We were seated as soon as we arrived. The view was spectacular- sunset on the Ohio River! The wait staff was attentive without being overbearing. The food was delicious. And they brought our guests a complimentary glass of bubbly to celebrate their anniversary! All in all a delightful experience.
View was nice but the floor is a bit shaky especially when a nee party walks onto the revolving area
Ambience is great, sitting on the wheel to dine was fun. Arrived at 8:20 didn’t receive our food until 940 and we were told by the waiter unfortunately we came in behind a big group, but what does that have to do with our order??!! What’s the food arrived our steaks were cold and one of the steaks was overcooked - paying $52 for one steak it should’ve been extremely hot! Didn’t send back because we were on a time schedule! Baked potatoes were also cold! Only the calamari and cocktails were great! We wont be going back!
One of my new favorite restaurants! My husband and I celebrated our anniversary dinner at Swizzle our food was delectable and server was impeccable.
For our anniversary we went to the site (different name then) of the restaurant where we'd had our first real date. The food was delicious, though there seemed to be a particularly strong dependence on garlic, and the service was excellent. We were seated, as requested, in the portion of the restaurant which revolved, allowing a consistently changing view of the Ohio River, and the Louisville shoreline, which was what had drawn us to the place all those years before. Except for a slight rumbling underfoot occasionally, that was a delightful addition to the ambiance. The only real problem was the noise level, which sometimes made conversation difficult. Things were also quite pricey. Wines I know the value of on the open market were often twice the general list price, for example. Still, on the whole, it was a lovely, relaxed, pressure-less evening.
So glad to have this restaurant back!
First issue is the parking in the hotel is dark & dirty in the garage. Then paying for parking difficult being forced to use a pay machine with poor description of how to do it. The cost of parking is exorbitant & discourages all of us from going downtown for anything.
The food & service were excellent & our seating on the wheel next to a window made the evening delightful. Server was ver good, friendly, attentive & well informed.
The space doesn't muffle the sounds from loud dinner parties. Sadly the floor of the dining room was sticky to the shoe soles.
Had heard great things about Swizzle and decided to have a girls night out for a birthday celebration. It was a blast. We arrived a little early and was told we could grab a drink at the bar or sit and admire the view of downtown Lou. We opted to wait at the bar! We were greeted right away, offer the menu and within 5 minutes had our beautifully crafted drinks in our hands. Within 15 minutes our table was ready and we were seated in the booth. We carried our drinks to the table and just soaked in the beautiful evening view. We ordered the shrimp scampi and the 1910 old fashioned, the smoke box did not disappoint! Our waiter was knowledgeable about gluten free items, what wine to pair with our meal and had a fun personality. Our main course was the scallops cooked at chef’s temperature (PERFECT like butter), the Ahi Tuna without the sauce (again, PERFECTLY cooked) and the salmon. There was nothing left on any of our plates. Couldn’t recommend Swizzle any more. The birthday girl was so happy.
Food was delicious, the service was excellent, and the atmosphere was unique! I would highly recommend!
Food was good although they were out of several key items. Good place for special occasions or a high end date night!
Salmon was good although it was not roasted, it was baked. Mashed potatoes were good.
Great place will be back. Every good service and food.
Nice view of river and sunset, pleasant staff. An enjoy experience
Wonderful place as always. Great ambience and tasty food and drink. Excellent servers, I always like Peter who came and said hello but today I experienced Ramzi who is another excellent server. Terence is also a friendly and welcoming manager who makes you feel comfortable.
Great experience - food and drinks were excellent!
Nice atmosphere. Good food. Prompt service
Is a very nice place to go with family and friends.
We came here for my husbands 30th birthday. The restaurant has a super cool vibe and the food was pretty good. We’ve both worked in the service industry and generally have a lot of patience when it comes to our dining experience, as we have been in those shoes before and understand things happen, but our service was inexcusable. It took 20-25 minutes after ordering drinks and an appetizer for my husband to receive his drink. The appetizer was delivered by another staff member and we were completely finished with it before we even saw our server again to order our meal. We scarcely saw our server the rest of the meal and were at the restaurant for a total of two and a half hours, ruining our plans for the rest of the evening. I will say this problem seemed to be specific to our server as we saw the other servers in our area consistently. Overall it was an incredibly disappointing experience when I had such high expectations.
Waiter was knowledgable, attentive and professional. Very enjoyable evening!
Food and drinks were great and the service was good as well. Atmosphere was so fun.
Called because we were running late and told me no problem. Then we got there to no table as they gave it away. High marks for the service because she worked to get us out on time, but the manager who I complained to didn’t even come back to see how everything was, nor was he very apologetic. Won’t be going back anytime soon.
