The food was absolutely outstanding. !Made to order , great portions, upper gourmet level tastes, quality products and ingredients. Staff is very engaging , the space intimate. A great place for date night excellent value. It is worth finding this hidden gem! I will not hesitate to recommend and will definitely become a regular patron. One of the best restaurants in the miami/ft lauderdale area. You must discover this tasteful world! Excellent wine bistro.
Food is amazing. The flavors and combinations are unbelievable.
Ahhhhhmazing! Please check out this hidden gem and support a local business!! Owner Mike and Chef Judith are quite the duo :)
This place never fails me. This is my 3rd time going there for dinner and every time I go, the food is even more amazing than the last. Keep up the great work!
As always, a stellar experience. Chef Judith's food is a treat for the palate. If you ever thought you didn't like wine, or what wine you could like, Mike has all you answers.
A gem in a small strip shopping center. We started out with lamb meatballs which were full of flavor. We had the duck and also the scallops/shrimp dish. Both were excellent dishes with generous portions. Ended the night with lava cake with homemade ice cream. We will definitely be back.
The venue is small so suggest you make a reservation. M
Excellent hidden gem. Well worth the visit and will return!
Great hidden gem of a restaurant. Every dish that i have tried in my 2 visits has been spectacular. The service is impeccable. I also enjoy the wine selection and have found a couple new favorites.
Really enjoyed this restaurant. Small, tucked away in a small shopping plaza. Food was amazing! Small portions but, enough for one (i.e. not enough to split with someone else). Ordered a bottle of wine which was also very good, different than what you see at other places. Dessert was also very unique and good. Overall, we had a great experience and would plan to go back.
Swirl would be a wonderful place I have a nice dinner with friends. We found the food to be excellent and the service was very good and the winds were well priced. We will definitely make another excursionTo swirl for dinner.
Everything was very delicious. Lobster empanadas, buffalo mozzarella and shrimp, prawns and scallops. Service was attentive and very friendly. I will definitely be back.
What a find. I would give Swirl Wine Bistro a 10!!! The food, a fusion of Jamaican and Soul was incredible. The wine pairings perfect. The small neighborhood bistro vibe reminded me of my hometown Philly and of New York. The staff friendly and engaged. You may wait a longer for your meal because everything is cooked from scratch, but just relax, enjoy the music and have a second glass of wine or beer. Trust me, you won't be disappointed. Clearly, at the top of our restaurant list in Broward County!!!!
It’s impossible to have a bad experience at Swirl. The food is extraordinary. Everything on the menu is amazing. Last night we enjoyed grilled shrimp and tostones with tasty sauces, plated beautifully. The grilled octopus salad with warm polenta cake is delicious, creamy inside and crisp outside— with an amazing aioli. Finally, we shared the duck. I’ve never eaten duck before Swirl... Chef Judith’s plating with pumpkin risotto and cider Demi glacé was fantastic.
The best part is that Mike selected a wine for us after we told him what we were sharing. The reasonable Italian red he selected was wonderful with the food. We can’t wait to go back. This is FINE DINING and genuine hospitality in Coconut Creek.
Wonderful experience. A must for everyone who appreciates the best.
This is a very small and intimate place. The food was expertly prepared and absolutely delicious.
The food never disappoints, interesting and high quality. Not your ordinary menu. My favorites are the charcuterie platter and the grape leaves stuffed with goat cheese.....fit for foodies!
Swirl is a hidden gem! The food was amazing, and the chef was very accommodating to my wife’s dietary restrictions. We will definitely be going back!!
Excellent cuisine, not food. Much better than just food. Out of the way but worth the trip. Very difficult to find a chef that knows how to bring flavors that explode. This chef does.
This place never disappoints. I would recommend the snapper escoveitch and the most delicious gluten free tiramisu.
Limited menu but a good one. Great food. Place to spend several hours. Quaint and friendly.
Second time visiting and spot on again! We all had different dishes with wine that were delicious! We all tasted each other’s meals and no one had a negative thing to say.
Mike was amazing from the get go and the food was simply extraordinary. We will definitely be going back.
Small, low key. Personal service.
Our first time at this hidden gem was a fantastic experience. Mike was very personable and really cares that your absolutely happy with all that you order. His wife, Judith creates some amazing dishes! Can’t wait for our next visit
Service wonderful as is food. when you go there, try the charcuterie platter...it's a winner!
I can’t say enough good things about our dining experience there tonight. The food was incredible! Everything was so delicious and flavorful! Mike the owner was a so nice and friendly! We will definitely be back soon!! A hidden gem in Coconut Creek! Please try, you will not regret it!!
What a great surprise! The food and the service were outstanding! I can’t wait to go back.
A great little surprise. When you approach the building you don't expect what you get. The food and service was incredible. The chef's attitude toward serving only the best is clear from your choice of wine through to your choice of dessert. There is a lot of heart and you can tell. I will definitely be returning.
This restaurant is absolutely a hidden gem. The food was absolutely incredible. The owner/operator was amazing. If I had to describe the feeling I had while sitting there, it was like being at a family member’s house...and that family member makes amazing food. We sat and talked and enjoyed every moment. We will definitely return.
This was our first visit from out of town based on an Open Table rating and other reviews. A small neighborhood gem that is hard to find in a shopping center that is a turn off. You enter another world once inside. Dark hues and art on the walls, maybe ten tables and a bar at the back with the happiest man alive polishing the glasses. You can tell that this place is the owner's dream and glad to be away from the drudgery of corporate life. Do not misunderstand, Michael is very experienced and well trained in restaurant operations. While Michael runs the front end and pairs the wines with the outrageously good food, his wife, the chef, is the real star. The wines were various and well selected as were the price points. Plenty is available by glass, but after the first one, it makes sense to order up the full bottle. But the food; go for the food. This is a restaurant best experienced in a small group that wants to sample and share numerous dishes. We started with the flat The octopus, which is served two ways, is among the best ever. They first steam it and then grill or saute it, depending on the dish to ensure that it stays moist and not chewy. Mission accomplished. We opted for the octopus flat bread. The crust was crisp, the octopus tasty and hot and the bread never got soggy. The grouper tacos were delicious, with the fish moist and flavorful. So, too, were the pork belly tacos. Our only complaint was the heat was a little too high and that detracted from the flavor of the pork. The duck was a home run with a sauce that demanded attention without interfering with the well prepared meat of the duck. All in all, anytime we are in the area, this is a must destination. Be sure to ask Michael to tell you his story!
This is my fourth time going to Swirl and it never disappoints. The food is always made to order so is very fresh and tasty. Creative combinations that I feel are well worth the wait and the cost. Highly recommended.
What a gem! The food is worth the wait! The wine is superb and reasonably priced. Will go back again and again.
Met a friend for dinner. Service was excellent. The food was very good. We had the eggplant appetizer. And shared the Fish Tacos small restaurant with good ambience.
Very personal restaurant. Small dining cafe with nice wine selection. Want to return to try the oxtail lasagna.
It was OK. The owner/waiter tried to serve 6 people at once. Food came out in 2,1,2,0. Yes, that adds up to five out of six. Food was ok albeit cold. Really tough and tried to like this place but will not come back. Think Waffle House type seating in cheap chairs and tables charging upside pricing.
Fabulous restaurant different from the usual eateries, owned by husband & wife team, she is the highly decorated chef, everything freshly made, don’t be inpatient, great ambience, superb for an enjoyable evening with a few friends
Based on raves to my daughter about the great experiences we had at Swirl.
, she threw my wife and I a surprise 40th anniversary party there. The food was served family style and included our go-to favorites and several entrees that were new to us. As I mentioned in an earlier review, one dish was better than the next, all delicious. The wine selections paired with the food fabulously and everyone enjoyed themselves. Oh yes, forgot to say that Mike closed the restaurant down on a Saturday night for our party! Hospitality is an art!
Almost every review indicates that Swirl is a "Hidden Gem"; I am here to verify both. It is hidden and it is a gem. My wife and I went to dinner there on Friday for the first time based on the reviews in Open Table. It was the first time but won't be the last. Firstly, they honored the reservation(unlike Bonefish Grill in Coral Springs !). Mike, the owner, was friendly and very helpful in explaining the menu and selecting a delicious wine(very knowledgeable). We shared the fish tacos, grilled vegetables and mushroom tart; one more tasty than the other. My wife enjoyed the entire experience so much that she has somehow fit the Swirl in conversations that she has had with everyone she spoke with. Happy wife happy life. Happily looking forward to our return to the Swirl; in short order!
This was an unbelievable find in a very obscure and under developed shopping center. Absolutely worth the trip. The food was outstanding and I am still tasting the cheese tart. Mike welcomed us and told us about the history and vision of the place and I think he’s got it down beautifully. Calm but hip music, lovely comfy setting, and wine by the glass you can’t get at many places! I had a Ribeiro del Duero, and it was perfect with the sea bass. Amazing chef!
This was my 2nd visit back and again, was not disappointed at all. Everything was exquisite! Love the ambiance and the staff. Will be going back in April with my mom when she comes to town!
