Food was average. Service decent. Reservation for dinner apparently doesn't allow you to stay and listen to the show but we were not rushed from our table.
Very friendly fun place.
This restaurant and swing club was fantastic! I would definitely recommend this to anyone and everyone that is interested in this music. The food was also very good. They made a great effort to include everybody in learning how to swing.
Lots of fun. Great band and people enjoying the music and dancing. Good drinks and food and nice fun atmosphere
Romantic table seating and upbeat atmosphere
The place was great and so welcoming. We were celebrating my wife’s birthday. The music was great, super fun Swing class and overall we had a wonderful night. Thank you so much
Spectacularly surprised! Food was delicious and music was great! Highly recommend!
Amazing!!! Live music and ambiance were perfect :). Service was exceptional. Very impressed!
Celebrated our last night in NYC at the jazz supper club on restaurant row in mid-town. Food and service were great and we heard a little nice music. They were on of the few restaurants where we could enjoy the prix fixe menu since my spouse has several food issues. We thoroughly enjoyed our evening.
Drinks + Dinner + Comedy @ Swing 46.
Very good service and ambience...
The comedy acts overall “Ok”...a few really funny acts.
The food was “Ok”...my table ordered from the fixed price menu and the general review was “Avg”...my salmon was not as flavorful as I like and another member of our party had to return her chicken .... it was pale and reportedly not cooked to her liking also; once escalated our server handled it promptly! We enjoyed the Swing Drinks! 🍹Mild and sweet...just how we lightweights like it!😅
The overall service was very good...our server was friendly and attentive to our needs. I plan to return for the jazz and dance 💃🏾 lesson experience!
Nice little place in the theater district, had no real idea, what to expect. So I was surprised to hear they had live music playing! Which added a nice charm to the ambiance of the restaurant and allowed me and my partner to enjoy our meal even more.
Club de jazz avec beaucoup d ambiance. Sachez qu on vous facturera 15$ par personnes pour le spectacle c est normal mais il faut le savoir. La nourriture est dans les prix que l on trouve à nyc
We came to NYC from Argentina and We found the best Jazz Club in town. We are grateful for thw band, waitresses and the dance professors
Good music but didn’t play long enough and was charged $20 each for watching that we were not good about.
As we enjoy great music, happy people of all ages and walks of life we naturally also enjoy being at Swing 46.
We have visited before and we cannot wait to go again. This is a must for us whenever visiting NYC!
The meal was fine and the service was outstanding. It was unclear when the music would start. A small 5 piece combo started at 7:00. They were great but very people were present. At 8:00 they took a break and another 12 musicians set up. At 8:30 the venue was full and the band took off. Wonderful show. Would certainly go again.
Splendid food, best steak I’ve ever eaten. Service was so helpful and friendly, even though it was my first time at Swing, I was treated as an old client and friend. Music was marvellous, I felt as if I had travelled in time!
Great music. Service could be better need more staff on floor
If you like enjoying listening good live music ( jazz, swing and tap dancing ) and dancing too it is a must to visit this place, have dinner and enjoy together. A perfect night with a lot of good surprises.
Great place for a date, excellent music and a very fun atmosphere.
Great service and a fun time. Come for the entertainment not the food but the food is good.
Fun evening if you're looking for a place to dance. Great music but a small dance floor. In order to get a table in the room with the music you must have a dinner reservation. Good recommendation for great music and dancing, the food is secondary.
Once again a great evening at Swing 46. Will be back with guests 21st or 22nd September!
Only thing is that the furnitures, especially the sofas at the dining tables, are warned out and repaired with tape. Not nice.
Love the place anyhow and recommends it to everyone I know who are going to New York.
The restaurant itself is very run down... more duct tape on the banquets than not, and the selection on the menu is very limited, but the staff were friendly and helpful. If you go here, go for the music as it was fantastic!!
Good music nice place to dance and drink not very expansive
We enjoyed our dining at Swing 46. The band and the singers/performers are outstanding. We could dance and also observe other people dance. Everything was very good!
This is our go-to place in the theater district. John and his team are amazing, the food is good and ambience can’t be beat.
Wonderful music and a great atmosphere!
Good food and dancing, too!
Fabulous! Swingadelic bamd was amazing. We got a short swing dance lesson during intermission, which was pretty cool. And it was nice to see that they weren’t just relying on the entertainment and cutting shortcuts on food. We had the swing salad (amazing!) and salmon (crispy with beet risotto that doesn’t leave you feeling heavy and gross afterwards. Would definitely go again.
This place is great! My husband and I stumbled upon it the last time we were in NY and we wanted to make sure we went back! LOVE the music!
(Jordan?), the owner was so kind to greet us upon arrival and our server, Leah was outstanding! As we were celebrating my mother's 70th birthday not only did Leah bring us more baskets of bread three people should have eaten, all of her recommendations from wine to main course were spot on! Including her recommendation of the orecchiette pasta which both my mom and I loved! And Leah even surprised mom with a desert and candle! Although the music hadn't begun as it was only 5pm, the owner (Jordan?) put us on a guest list to return for the evenings performance with no cover charge in honor of my mom's birthday. In summary, from wine to salad to entree- SPOT ON!!!
When we order we told our waiter we wanted from the fixe price menu I guess he didn't hear us but he saw we were ordering from the menu after that we were smooth sailing on the service.
Food wise was okay, the appetizer and dessert was superb the entrees not so much I ordered the seared salmon and my date ordered the Angus steak medium well, when the food came the salmon was cooked well, the steak was a bit though to eat unfortunately we didn't finish the steak. We had fun overall thanks to the dance class and live music.
Awesome place. The drinks are so good, we ordered Swing 46, Swing colada, and Espresso Martini, each one of them tastes so good. The brand is awesome, not a jazz expert but I love the music.
Do not go here. Overpriced. Terrible “ dance instructor”.
My wife ordered the seafood risotto and ate about 3 bites. She said it was horrible. Music was good, but given the lack of quality in the food and the service I would NOT recommend.
The restaurant was pretty empty yet we were seated next to the only other couple there. They were loud, and our seat had duct tape all over it and was incredibly uncomfortable.
The food was mediocre at best. The calamari was okay (large serving), but our entrees were not very good. The scallops were border line under cooked and my rigatoni pasta had rubbery shrimp with a bland sauce. The website says that everything is made in house, but this is FAR from the truth. Even the butter that came with the bread was in plastic containers that you'd expect to see at a diner, not at a restaurant charging $40+ for entrees on top of a mandatory entertainment fee.
The band was decent, thankfully, though there was no music between 7 and 8:30 which left the bulk of the meal quiet and in a dark room in the back.
I would not come back and I would not recommend it to a friend unless the prices are reduced and food quality improved.
Great food, great music and dancing.
Food & service were both good. The staff was very polite, and I enjoyed the atmosphere. The music from the live band was excellent.
Amazing environment. Great food and music. Service was great. I would recommend everyone to go here.
Feels like old New York!
Good feeling, great performances, very good food and drinks, good dancing. Nice staff. We had a great evening. Gunhild Carling was great!
