Whilst we appreciate operating on a campsite at the end of the season is a challenge, the basics in service and standards should remain the same Whether you’re the first customer through the door at the beginning of the season or one of the last at the end. We arrived exactly on time for our table and were asked to wait in a holding area despite our table being empty and ready. We were left there for 20min. We eventually ordered some drinks, unfortunately the wine we requested was unavailable, no problem, we were given an alternative but at the same price (£43) it was a much cheaper alternative. After being escorted to our table it was another 20 min before our order was taken. The food order arrived the starters were nice and the kids meals arrived at the same time as requested. Following another wait my main course arrived minus my husbands. A total of 50 minutes later his finally arrived after being given two different reasons why! A bowl containing 7 king prawns arrived on top of watery pepper soup (sold as New Orleans shrimp at £22). A table behind us were served their mains before finishing their starters and another complained stating the chips were inedible. The restaurant was far from full, there were three members of staff running front of house. Two ladies doing their best to manage serving/clearing tables etc and a guy who spent most of his time behind the bar managing the drinks orders, including his own refill of wine throughout the evening. A disappointing experience

What a strange experience! Up until our visit to the restaurant, all the staff at Cloud 9 had been so upbeat, friendly and lovely. However, the staff at the restaurant gave us the impression that we were annoying them by ordering food (lol). It was very strange! The Food was ok but overpriced - £16 for a burger and some oven chips for eg.

Such lovely staff but unfortunately a little disorganised and we felt we had to keep asking for all the things you're usually offered without having to feel like you're being a pain, such as jug of water refreshed, condiments, table to be cleared (it was more than an hour from when we had finished the meal), desserts never arrived, the bill took a while to sort etc. However that said, the food was really lovely, it's such a lovely location and the staff were so friendly so it wouldn't put us off booking again.

Don't waste your time going there, this was a waste of precious time. I wouldn't eat there even for free. The food was below average, and service took over 1 hour for our dishes. No apologies from them.

We understand the teething troubles. What would have helped is a bit more communication from the waitresses on progress, and attention to detail (one starter was forgotten, then the wrong one came out, so that guest didn't eat a starter in the end). It could be amazing, but service could be more energetic and the wait times reduced. Food was o.k.

Good food, service a little slow but friendly. Quite quiet when we went but they turned the music up for us which was good. Pork and veg pie was delicious!

The food qualify was good but lack of coordination in the kitchen meant big gaps when we received our meals. Kids meals were expensive. Also limited selection of wines to choose from (price and variety).

Food was very good and fairly priced. Seats were not comfortable. Cushions would be great. Service was very slow. Waited nearly an hour between starter and main. Good selection of beers.
