We booked outdoors thinking we will sit in the patio, they sat us curbside on the street w no other tables around, place w no restaurant vibe. Once asked to move we had to settle for a high top table on the corner of the restaurant that was more like a sports bar. So we dropped $$$$ for not a so much great experience. They should not let ppl book the tables on curbside or at least make it clear! Disappointing!
We waited over 45 minutes for our table when we made a reservation. The red haired guy, who was checking guests in was rude. When we checked in, there was a long line of guest waiting to talk to him. Other people behind the desk weren’t making an effort to help. Finally, when we got up to him, I told him my name and reservation. He responded with, “we’re kind of busy right now. You’ll need to wait.” I was shocked of his tone. We obviously know it’s a Friday and it’s busy. I responded with, “can we wait at the bar? Do know how long the wait is?” He quickly responded with the “bar is full, and I don’t know.” We waited in the empty room to the left thinking the bar seats weren’t open. 45 minutes later when we finally walked to our seat, it was amazing to see about a dozen open seats at the bar. We’ve spend many celebrations over the years at swift and sons, last night was my husbands birthday. That red haired front of the house guy, is rude. He put an entirely sour experience, as guests we deserve to be treated with respect and honesty.
It was good but pricey. Didn’t seem as good as last time But could be related to employment issues all restaurants are facing.
Anniversary dinner with friends. Had an excellent meal, service was outstanding. Accommodated our friend’s food sensitivity requirements. Very attentive to our table without being overbearing. Huge thanks to Crisanto our waiter. We ordered shrimp cocktail and foils gras to share. for main courses, I had surf and turf, hubby had a blue cheese crusted NY strip steak, friends had pork chop, and NY strip. Mushroom side and green beans were great. Dessert was also pretty yummy. Wine that sommelier helped us choose was perfect. Would go back for a special occasion for sure.
Wow!! Everything we ordered was delicious! Filet was prepared perfectly and seafood tower was fresh and the presentation was beautiful. Still thinking about the creme brûlée and peach cobbler- so good!!
Celebrating Life. Being grateful we are still here.
Food was wonderful.
This was one of the worst steaks I’ve had in a long time. It came out overcooked, dry, lacking much flavor, and was cold. Not worth the premium price paid for the large filet.
Excellent service. After informing the waiter that I have Celiac disease, he was very helpful and went out of his way to accommodate my dietary restriction. He was very knowledgeable of each menu item and its ingredients. He brought me the best gluten free bread I've ever had. The crab cake, sides, and crème brûlée were also delicious. The ambience is very unique - modern, energetic, and open with a swanky, mid-20th century "old boys club"-like feel (I believe the restaurant is actually located in a building that once served as a cold storage meatpacking facility). Awesome experience overall!
We were rushed from the time we arrived until we left.
We so enjoyed our meal. So many great cocktails and appetizers but the entrees were superb.
Everything we ate at Swift & Sons was amazing and worth it. My only problem was our server seemed to spend so much more time on everyone else and barely spoke to us. There where times where we would look over and he was talking to people for 10 minutes, then he would stop by our table and would seemingly rush to leave. We where celebrating my wife’s birthday and it was disappointing to barely be acknowledged. We’d go back but we’d probably request a different server.
One of the best meals you’ll ever have. You can blindfold yourself and throw a dart at the menu and whatever it lands on will be one of the best meals you’ve ever eaten. The beef Wellington was spectacular.
From start to finish the experience was amazing. The place has a vintage, Mad Men kind of vibe and decor that's very well done. From the time you sit down the service is impeccable. Our servers kept our glasses filled with water and adult beverages.
Now we had the Wagyu flight... Three 5 ounce cuts of American, Australian and Japanese A5. I will say that if you're coming to eat big, it's for 1, otherwise it's good for sharing.
I can't properly describe the joy that this trio of cow is, sonnets and poems could be written but it still wouldn't be accurate. The sides are amazing as well, the Mac, green beans, mashed potatoes and mushrooms are excellent too.
Dessert ended the night, I chose the cart of treats, my wife had the Smores dessert. I went with the chocolate caramel stuffed cookie, and the strawberry kiwi lime cake pop covered in white chocolate. Jesus himself laid hands on the prep work and the Virgin Mary garnishes them.
I can't speak highly enough of the Swift & Sons experience I had. We will definitely be back.
The food is really good. Steaks were melt in your mouth and very tasty. Wedge salad was delicious.
Server was great and personable, just service overall was a tad slow!
Great manhattan and outstanding NY strip. A lovely room but a bit on the pricey side.
Swift & Sons came highly recommended by a friend. It did not disappoint! We had a variety of appetizers, soups, salads, steaks, sides and desserts. Everything was delicious!
Swift they were even able to do a gluten-free version of their signature beef wellington (everything but the pastry). Our server was very knowledgeable about what menu items could or could not be altered.
would recommend to a friend, food was very good, staff very attentive.
Fabulous service, delicious food- it was wonderful.
The sever was excellent & the food was amazing. The steaks just melted in your mouth. My husband & I had a great time. Well worth the visit. We will be back.
Everything was great !!! Perfect service and food !!! Would definitely come back again !!!!
Waitstaff was extremely attentive until we got our food. Then we didn’t see the waiter or have plates cleared for ~30 min. We had empty plates and empty drinks. Unpleasantly surprised by this given reviews/recommendations to visit this restaurant.
Our waiter was great! Loved the presentation of the beef Wellington!
Great service and ambiance! The food is delicious and they have great wine selection! We’ve been here 6 times now and have not been disappointed! Can’t wait to go back again!
Our food and service exceeded our expectations. The best part was the relaxed and fun environment that accompanied our great experience at Swift & Sons.
Amazing food and great atmosphere. My only problem was that our server took a long time for anything at our table. There was a lot of time in between his visits which made it take 15 minutes each between ordering drinks, food, dessert, and getting the check.
I LOVED this dinner.
Wonderful experience! Food was delicious. Server was awesome! Burger and fries were just a little salty. Otherwise everything was wonderful!!! We will come back!! This is one of my favorite restaurants
Great night out! We sat outside so there was music from all tge venues around us & people walking by - all fine but noisy.
Known for their steaks, but their seafood is top notch too.
Great as always
It was a date but the long check-in kinda ruined it…We booked a table for 8:15 and arrived at ~8:05; they made us wait until ~8:40 to be finally seated. Other than that the food and service was very good (beef Wellington is golden!). But the wait + no explanation for the wait killed a lot of the excitement.
It was fantastic! I would go back instantly! Service and food were excellent!
Great food and superb service.
Belated fathers day
