We ended up eating outside here for dinner and then for breakfast. I had salmon and my husband had steak. Both were delicious. We thought good precautions were taken and both felt comfortable dining here.
It was great. The service, food, smells, atmosphere, etc...would highly recommend for anyone staying there and tell them to get Melissa as their server.
The server when above and beyond to make this Veteran here feel extra special on Veterans Day! I highly recommend this place and make sure you ask to sit outside!
The food and the server were great! We wanted a table for 4 instead of 6 since there were only four of us. When I asked the man that brought us to the table he became very rude, said he had to check and left. He left us standing there for aVERY long time and never did return. We finally just took the table we wanted and the server came and helped us out. He was very courteous.
We had exemplary service and a fine dinner for seven people on Monday evening. The ambience and quality of the food and drinks was outstanding!
Trying too hard to do the sweet and fire thing. All the sweet sauces on the entrees were forced and not great. The entire table agreed on this! It’s be much better without that.
There was no wait and the food and service was excellent!
Lawrence is one of the best bartenders that my husband and I have ever met at a resort. He had an impressive knowledge of the resorts whiskey collection and gave perfect service. We both got an akaushi ribeye, and shared creamed spinach, mashed potatoes, and a caesar to start. Everything was beyond delicious.
Definitely need to stop at Sweetfire Kitchen esp if you're staying at the La Cantera Resort and Spa. Staff is courteous, attentive and the menu is amazing. Side dishes aren't massive which is what we appreciated. We also chose a table outdoors and enjoyed the resort views during dinner.
We were there for our anniversary and everything was delicious. Staff were friendly and accommodating. They did forget to bring one side dish, but we were ok without it.
We visited Sweetfire on a trip to La Cantera. The food was great and the service was outstanding. Highly recommend sitting on the porch and enjoying the gardens!
Amazing meal. We weren't sure what to expect but wanted to stay on the resort grounds. My husband and I were barely speaking throughout the meal because we were so busy gong "mmmmmmmmmmm." Definitely worth checking out!
Overall great service & tasty delicious food. Great atmosphere as well.
Had a fun dinner at Sweetfire! Definitely recommend the fritters and any of the steaks - delicious!
Service was not good. Food took forever. Portions compared to price are awful
Food was delicious
Salmon was amazing and Red Fish was even better! Service was top notch!
Expectations were higher for this restaurant, horrible service and wait time for just our drinks alone. The food was mediocre for the price point.
Food had great flavor - but my steak was over - as I ordered medium rare - so not unusual and lobster tail was rubbery.
Service and everything else was TOP NOTCH AND EXCELLENT.
Cornbread, fried green tomatoes and the fried okra was absolutely cooked to perfection and served beautifully.
Wonderful service! So nice to get out to enjoy the pretty view while dining over a delicious meal with my mom and sister.
Menu with something for just about everyone. Portions are a good size for your money and presentation was great. Will dine here again!
We waited a long time to get our meal and then our veggie was cold. Service was not great.
Great food! Had breakfast and dinner here during a recent stay and both meals were great!
I'd place this more into a southern cuisine category than fine dining. The selections were pricey for the quality, in my opinion. I follow a paleo diet due to health issues, and there weren't many options for me. The menu was not descriptive of the preparation of all food items. For instance, I ordered the blackened snapper and shrimp. I assumed the shrimp was blackened as well, but the waiter informed me it was fried. So, they prepared it grilled for me. After ordering, we were brought a skillet of corn bread with butter and honey. There was nothing offered to me for my dietary needs. Also, at dessert time, the waiter asked if we saved room. I asked what my options were, and he had to go back and ask the chef. He returned and informed me there were no options for me. This was in contradiction to the paragraph on the menu stating that if there's something specific they can prepare that's not on the menu, then ask, and the chef will come up with something. I asked for a bowl of fruit for dessert, and they obliged. At this price point, I would really recommend somewhere else.
My family and I enjoyed the delicious food and the great services.
Food was exceptional!
Absolutely loved it from minute we walked in the setting and lighting was perfect very nice and quiet a perfect place to celebrate our anniversary. The server was great very nice and gave us complimentary treats with dinner
Our first night at the resort we had Sweetfire for dinner. My husband said this was the best steak he has ever eaten. We ate at Sweetfire two more times during our stay.
Great view the resort is fantastic, the food was very good especially the steak and potatoes.
Love the venue, the service and the cuisine! One of my major points rating a venue favorable is the music & noise level (I am under 50 by the way) ... too many restaurants crank the music up making conversation difficult (probably to get people to keep the meal short). Not so at Sweetfire! Great experience every time!
This was by far one of the best restaurants I’ve ever eaten at. Everything from the food to the service, to ambience, it was all incredible. Karl was our waiter and he was very nice and brought us our food quickly. Chef Julien made our food, and every single thing that we ordered that night was outstanding. If I could eat at this restaurant for the rest of my life, I definitely would.
Attentive restaurant personnel, everyone observing social distancing, good food
My waitress was great! My pork sausage was not cook long enough for my preference but she made it right & offered to redo. She also brought me a slice of cake for my birthday & had my kids sing happy b day to me with her. It was wonderful! Above & beyond service!
My wife and I went there to have dinner for her birthday. The food and drinks were awesome! My wife enjoyed her salmon and my Akaushi Ribeye was very tasty! The Strawberry Basil Margarita was awesome! We really enjoyed our experience there and the service was great as well.
I always love the patio dining at Sweetfire kitchen! Great venue, service and food! The atmosphere.... so many restaurants these days are so annoying with loud blaring soundtracks. Sweetfire is perfect and lends to great conversation and dining experiences!
Our server made the whole experience. The manager said Melissa is new but she was amazing!!!!
The spacing of tables was adequate for the situation. The restaurant seemed louder than it should have been. A large loud group was in a party room but they left the doors open for all to hear. Our waiter did not adequately explain the menu very well, leading to an excess of side dishes. Service was a little slow considering the restaurant was only about half full.
Staycation. Live inside 410. Can’t fly anywhere so spent the day and one night at the beautiful La Cantera Resort and Spa. Lovey al fresco dinner with my daughter and two grandchildren, ages 10 & 6.
Great place. Highly recommend
