   One of my favorite soul food spots in the area with dining in being available. Food, Decor, and overall atmosphere is amazing. Will continue to go back!!

   When I entered a staff member was on the phone and another was standing to the side of the front desk. No one made eye contact or said one minute or anything so I just awkwardly waited for him to get off the phone. During this time I saw my party went to sit with them. I think overall my impression of the staff is that they are shy or hesitant. The food has nice flavor but my grits and salmon cakes could have been warmer when it came out. Sweet Tea was good.

   This is a remarkable little restaurant with very good food! The service was very good and the food came out hot.

   Our server was great, very informative. I had the catfish, grits, and home fries and it was deelish!!! Catfish and the grits melt in your mouth. The cornbread was good as well, especially with that strawberry sauce that comes with it.

   We werr a party of 11 because they werr byob we made a punch bowl of sangria. They took pics of our table set up with the Sangria bowl for their website the owner asked to have a glass, then charged us 3x the amount for a service fee when we came equipted with our own utensels ,cork screws, bottle openers,. They did not nring out a dinner for the B-Day girl bc they sold to a coiple who paid for take out, the waiter comped the meal bc of the mistake the owner wanted to give 10% off the meal instead when the B- Day person had to watch everyone eat for 20mins before she got her meal..10 percent Really a insult..lastly they brought out dessert for the,B-day person with a candle in it and put it on our tab..Never again!!! They were too strapped they couldnt offer a free scoop of ice cream?

   Second time around was much better our server Aniyah was awesome, treated us very nice answered all our questions and requests. Food was tasty but the price was kind of high charge for the bread 🍞.

   I enjoyed everything about this restaurant. It was my mom’s 60th birthday and she loved it . We will be back

   This place charge 20% gratuity on top of bill 3% credit card payment . NO Sharing because you will get another $15 charges on top of it all …I believe it ia too much for two persons …i alao think gratuity is your discretion after how much you like the service…too many charges…there are many palces in Montclair that you can choose from without any of this service fees.
