Along with some of the best fried chicken and waffles in New York City, we're serving what we like to call American cuisine with a Southern accent: rustic but modern American comfort food and twists on classic dishes and cocktails, plus home-baked desserts that will make you feel like a kid again.
Our dining room, in both Williamsburg and the LES, is as cozy and inviting (and locally-sourced) as our food.

Amazing food and great service! Accommodated my increase in party size without any hassle.
Great customer service, good upbeat music, even better tasting food with just the right amount of spices! Love the ambiance. Will be back real soon!!
Always a pleasure getting together with friends when we are visiting LA.
Best Chicken n Waffles in LA! And their mac n cheese is a must too.
I will be back! This was such a great place, can't wait to have
Love this place! It has a consistent level of superior customer service with a personalized touch. Furthermore, the food always tastes the same, and by that I mean delicious! Thanks Sweet Chick!
It was awesome! I love the Shrimp and Grits. The music is great and the service is great.
I loved the restaurant and the food! It’s a cute place...the music is loud and that didn’t bother us. But our waitress or whatever she was; was tall and she stood over us in an unenthusiastic manner and spoke low. I literally couldn’t hear her and I told her that. She still didn’t try to come down to our level just a little bit. She seemed to not know the menu too well, honestly I don’t know what her deal was. We had to wait awhile for her to even acknowledge us, so to be greeted with that kind of body language and attitude completely threw me off. Another girl helped us later through out our meal and she was great...chicken and waffles were A1! I’d definetly come back!
Atmosphere is great, our server wasn’t helpful in regards to the menu. Once our food arrived we never saw her again. Won’t be going back there.
The food and service was amazing! It was intimate with a warm home-cooked meal feeling. The waitstaff and bartender were especially cool! I recommend the flavored butters when you visit!
The chicken and waffles were amazing as was the breakfast burrito! My only complaint was the music was loud, however the management and wait staff accommodated by turning the volume down, so my guest and I could talk better. All in all a fun and delicious day!
The good was great! I had the chicken and waffles and my mom had the shrimp and grits. It was to die for. The staff were all pleasant and nice to us. They also offer valet parking at the LA location
Open Table allowed me to make a reservation at Sweet Chick only for me to arrive - after driving for an hour and having my boyfriend drive 2 hours to meet for a date - and it was closed. The restaurant was closed for "Staff Appreciation Day." As I stood in front trying to figure out what the situation was, two children watched me from the inside of the restaurant as I called the restaurant and no one answered. I left a message requesting a call back when they were open. I've received no response and it has been 4 days.
Everything we ordered was amazing, but our server was inattentive. My partners drink took ~20 minutes. The host ended up coming over to refill our waters and was nice. Had the service been better we likely would have ordered more.
The pork belly app was a melt in your mouth flavor bomb. The fried chicken was juicy and crispy, and bursting with flavor. I’d go back but maybe not on a Saturday night
Creative take on comfort food classics. Had the creamed corn with jalapeño and bacon as an appetizer. It is a seasonal dish not to be missed. Dinner was chicken- perfectly seasoned and crispy, with cheddar bacon waffles. Husband had the Big Booh’s Chicken with spicy pecan waffles.
Food was perfection, and the service was on point. Great music, super dim lighting, and great drink menu makes it a must do
Food was just as good as other locations that I’ve tried and the frozen strawberry margaritas were amazing!
Great spot! First off the place list is insane! But the unique menu items are what really make the trip worth it. Its pretty much a you pick of chicken offerings paired with specialty waffles. my personal fave are the BBQ wings and the apple cinnamon waffle. However I do think its crazy that drinks- lemonade, ice tea re $5 and are non refillable. That's insane!
Food at atmosphere was great. It was a little warm considering it was a cool day but the staff noticed it pretty quickly and fixed the indoor temp.
The food was good, but the dining area was too hot and there were too many flies. I was fanning myself with the menu in one hand, and trying to eat with the other hand. Flies were constantly buzzing around our food.
Every morsel of food was delicious! The music was jamming during each visit. I can't stop raving about it.
This is NOT your quiet dining type of place. They crank the music up later in the evening. I don't know why folks weren't up dancing.
The staff was super friendly. And did I mention the food is amazing?!
As a vegetarian I LOVE this place. The vegetarian chicken is fantastic. The only place I know you can get vegetarian chicken and waffles.
I was super happy with everything we ordered. They made a fantastic tomato salad, something that could have been disappointing, but instead it was fresh, creative and yet simple.
Loved it will definitely return!
The food here is a quite delicious and doesn’t disappoint! Even though their signature Chicken & Waffles (you should the Bacon & Cheddar waffle btw) is amazing, the real standout is the Mac & Cheese! I haven’t enjoyed such a rich and flavorful Mac & Cheese ANYWHERE ELSE in L.A.!
A couple of notes: The lemonade here is the commonplace drive-thru fake lemon version! For a restaurant focusing on Southern Cuisine, I found this to be a shocking disappointment. Even Lucille’s makes an effort to utilize a real lemon lemonade which rivals that of the Lemonade restaurant chain. The management of Sweet Chick needs to fix this with the quickness. Additionally, the unsweetened iced tea was terrible; It had a very funky flavor and wouldn’t depart the palate fast enough (FYI - I practice drinking iced tea regularly). They need to upgrade to a better brand of iced tea (to perhaps the tea served at Houston’s (on the high end) or even Panda Express (on the low end) - or completely correct their brewing process. Clearly, something was off.
Now, I could’ve deducted points because of the beverage issues, but I didn’t because the actual food is what this place is about and they hit all points in that area. I just hope the restaurant makes a concerted effort to fix the aforementioned beverage issues. Honestly, it left me with considerable trepidation about the meal before it arrived. That said, stay for the food.
flies... flies are everywhere. they kept on landing on my food and drinking cups. those are huge flies. grossed me out. i couldn't finish my meal.
This place is always a good time with the best chicken in waffles you can find in all of greater LA.
Love the vibes and people here you can’t go wrong coming here. Make a reservation though because they stay busy!
Definitely great customer service was offered successfully. Will come back to this spot when I’m in the LA area. The whole service was great.
Great ambiance and excellent food.
No air conditioner, very dark, and the greens were full of vinegar and it was inedible.
Shrimp & Grits was amazing, as was the mapke glazed bacon and home fries. Fried chicken was flavorful, most and tender. Can't wait to return.
We had a great brunch here -- chicken & waffles, Mac n' cheese, short rib, biscuits... service was fast and friendly and everything satisfied. Chicken was fried maybe 15% more than it should, making some edges a little chewy but overall the quality was high. Boozy iced teas topped it all off.
The staff was lovely and food was interesting and flavorful.
We walked in and were greeted with a smile then started dancing when Salt N Pepa's what a man came on! This is definitely a must try brunch spot and the vibes were all around positive and fun! I ordered the shrimp and Grits which were delicious!! My hubby ordered the waffle and chicken sandwich but the taste was slightly different since it had black eyed pea spread. The drinks were Amaxing and definitely had a good kick. I will say our bill was definitely higher than expected but you off Melrose and Fairfax so it was to be expected. I highly recommend!!!
The second server was just not good. They brought the chicken and waffles and the waffles were cold I let her know she took the waffles back then came back to the table 15-20min later asking if we got the waffle when clearly my plate was still empty. Then she said she would take it off the bill I told her that I was hungry and wanted to eat it then she said she would bring it and take it off the bill and explain that she told them to warm it up but it goes to the end of the line but if she put in for a new one they would make it faster and did I want it to go I just said ok because at this moment I'm realizing that this is not going to end well. They brought the waffle 15min later then she brings the bill and it's still on there so I ask her about it and she says "but you got the waffle" and I say but you said you were taking it off which she offered I didn't even ask. Then she says ok I'll take it off I didn't know they put it on there. Like huh. I just told it was there what are you talking about. First and last time. And not to mention she went back and told the manager something different. Smh
Yummy & will dine there again!!! Chicken and waffles so delis
Great service and amazing food . Went there with my mum and daughters and the food was delicious and the service was fast and polite. Definitely want to come back
The food and environment was excellent. Especially enjoyed the playlist that was playing in the background. The waitstaff left a little more to be desired but I enjoyed how they assisted each other.
It was fantastic! Food was great! Drinks were great! Vibe was great! Love it!
The chicken was pretty good but the waffles are weak - I held out hope by ordering the corn waffle thinking it may be done in the middle, but alas, it was doughy like most commercial waffles. The food is OK but severely over priced - I guess you are paying for the "ambiance". One thing they really must improve on is customer service! Being young and cute is not enough - you need a BRAIN. From having to yell our very simple last name THREE times (including spelling it) to the hostess - AH! There it is!! To getting seated in a tight little corner when the restaurant was not even half full - to waiting a VERY long time to be approached by our server and always twisting around trying to find her, it was an exhausting experience. Professionalism means something even in a trendy joint - it makes it worthwhile to drop big bucks on a simple 3 piece and a biscuit. Word to management - STAFF TRAINING. And while you're at it - kick up the quality game in the kitchen.
Such delicious food and the service was great. They are very attentive.
