   Loved the food and the service! It was crowded and the table behind us was so noisy, it was hard to hear each other. -Shrimp and Grits - Highly recommend -Ribeye - big portion, very good but pricier -Salmon - excellent, get the sharing size -Eggplant pasta - big portion and if you like eggplant youll love it

   We started off with 2 salads. One was the mista & other was the house salad. My husband liked his salad, but the mista salad wasn’t very good (lettuce was wilted). I sent it back & ordered the house salad instead, but the vinaigrette dressing was thick and creamy, not good. The 2 entrees were: penne w/chicken & alfredo sauce - that was very good, the other was pasta w/ olive oil & garlic w/ 4 garlic shrimp. The shrimp was delicious, but the pasta & sauce were bland. Overall, I thought it would be better after looking at the reviews.

   The place is small so I understand the upfront credit card authorization, but that still kinda bumps me. Service was incredible - all the staff paid attention to all the tables even if it wasn’t their table to serve. Menu was great - we will go back so we can try more of the dishes offered!

   It was a wonderful dinner. Our family was quickly seated before our reservation time. The service was excellent and the food was outstanding. It was the best meal of our 10 day California trip! We would recommend Sweet Basil Bistro to any one traveling to Big Bear Lake:-)

    Been coming here for the last 15 years and still love this place! Lobster Lasagna is a MUST! Artichoke Apps are awesome. And if you love old school meatloaf, they have that nailed!

    It was great! Everyone was so nice. Our waiter was wonderful ! He gave great suggestions. It was very special. The sand dabs were yummy. The chicken was a tiny bit dry but still good. The pasta was perfect. Bread was fresh and soft. Salad was fresh and tasty. We will definitely go back.

    We love this restaurant, the staff is so friendly and the food is amazing! They have great gluten free and vegetarian options also and their house made sauces are to die for! Do yourself a favor when you are in the Big Bear Lake area and check this place out.

    Amazing customer service! Food was amazing! They completely went out of their way to try to get our meal perfect. We had previously visited and had an amazing dish which was no longer on the menu. They did their best to try and replicate it. Just amazing!

    The food was good. My linguine and clams was very spicy. Not good spicy. Another guest with us had angel hair spaghetti. It was stuck together and gummy. My wifes salmon was excellent. Another guest had chicken parm. It was very good. Very good sauce.

    This is the second time that my wife and I have been to the Bistro - Fantastic food and amazing service!!!! Anytime we come up to Big Bear we will make it a point to eat here!! We both shared the crab cakes and roasted artichoke - we each had the salmon meal that was lightly blackened. Fantastic experience- and I’m quite picky…. Thank you!

    It is a small restaurant, so be patient as they really are as good as the reviews. We showed up 20 min early for our reservation and had to wait about 30 min to be seated (only 10 min past our reservation time) as the party before us had not left yet. The burrata is amazing, as it the pasta and per my son, best hot chocolate ever.

    This restaurant has delicious food and craft cocktails. I've been there twice and have loved the grilled ribeye and will definitely get the lobster lasagna again. I have tried several of their cocktails and all are a little unique and excellently balanced.

    We absolutely love sweet basil! Last time you came to town they were the only restaurant that would let us order a takeout order and we were blown away by the food so we made a reservation for our next trip. We both tried something new. My husband got the Italian shrimp and grits, and I got a truffle mushroom pasta that was recommended to me by the server. The service is amazing and the food was honestly better than I could’ve even imagined. We will be coming here every trip to big bear!
