Sweet Auburn BBQ is located in the historic Poncey-Highland neighborhood, near the Fox Theatre, Ponce City Market, and Fernbank Museum. The well designed dining space features reclaimed antiques and custom lighting, making it the ideal place for a dinner date or business lunch. Their sidewalk patio is a dog friendly too.

Sweet Auburn Barbecue offers traditional style barbecue with an Asian twist. we had a great experience! the food was delicious and arrived in a timely manner. the service was great and the value for what we received was great! having parking validation as an additional perk made the overall experience a 5/5. I’d go back and definitely recommend to friends! food recommendations: cornbread appetizer, bbq pork plate with mac and cheese! so so yum!

The bartender was also waiting the tables in the bar area. He was spread a little too thin and it took quite a while to place an order. Somehow he managed to keep a cheery demeanor. Once we did place the order, the drinks as well as the food came by pretty quickly. Two of us ordered microbrew beers that were both excellent and one of us ordered the bourbon old-fashioned, I believe it is called don’t burn down the house. It was very good. I can’t wait to try to make one at home just like it I do appreciate that they actually placed a reserved tag on the booth where we sat. Three of us had the pulled chicken plate. The Mac and cheese and the coleslaw and the beans were very good sides. Sometimes mac & cheese can be too buttery. This was not. It was very cheesy and tasty. We all liked the smoky flavor of the chicken. It was a little too moist for my taste I like it a little more cooked and drier, but the other two really liked it. The other guest in our party had tofu barbecue which she really enjoyed. Like so many restaurants today the music is always too invasive. One thing that we all found confusing was the fact that there is a painted sign on the building which says parking is across the street. We both circled the adjacent streets and saw nothing identifying any sort of parking. So Parking, especially on a weekend can be a little difficult.

Great Asian inspired BBQ. Always something interesting on the menu. The quality of food is great. The owners are friendly, present and incredibly involved in giving back to the community and helping other chefs get their footing.

I was pleasantly surprised at Sweet Auburn's ambience. It has a very cozy vibe. The surprise Freak Me Bae Bae cocktail was delicious. Although the main courses were excellent, I highly recommend the pimento cheese wontons & brisket egg rolls. They are delicious*
