We ordered 3 dishes; satay, jungle curry and son in law. While the sauce of the satay was very flavorful, the meat was overcooked. The curry sauce was also flavorful but the meat portion was small and had a big piece of fat in the middle. The son in law was good, the best of the 3 dishes. My husband had been once before and said the food was excellent. So I may give it another try but not sure.

Food was excellent--great flavors and imaginative presentation. Unfortunately, the noise level was deafening, so that we could not even hear what our server was saying to us, or have a table conversation. Service was kind of erratic too--we didn't get our appetizer until the end of the meal, and was given someone else's drink order, etc. But the food was so good that we would probably come for a return visit.

First time at the Westlake location. We loved the ambiance, look, feel, and lighting. Perfect for our anniversary dinner. The service was great, server was the right amount of attentive. Friendly, courteous, and kind staff. Food was quite delicious, we raved over the Thai chili chocolate cake dessert. we will definitely be revisiting this location. 5/5 recommend.

The restaurant is stunning. We were sitting at the corner - three on one side and two on the other. It was better suited for 4 people. With 5 people it would have been best to be at a high table so we could sit across from each other, but I didn't realize that when I made the reservations. The food was delicious, although it did come out at different times. One of our appetizers came out AFTER one of our main courses. Not ideal, but not horrible either. I would definitely recommend.

We had been here once before and that experience was by far exceptional, and one of the best dining experiences we’ve had in Austin. The food was incredible and the service *chefs kiss*. This last time however was mediocre, perhaps an off night? We found the items we ordered to be a bit too sweet for our liking. But we will definitely be coming back in the future! We love this place and enjoy our date nights here.

You have to be OK with some level of spiciness in order to eat here because everything has at least a level six out of 10, according to the wait staff. Everything is quite tasty, brussels sprouts and eggplant my personal favorite. Underwhelming salad, and somewhat disappointing in the lack of traditional flair but if you’re looking for something different or a unique twist on tie food, this is a great place and the rooftop is beautiful at night

Worst food experience since I have lived in Austin back to 1989. Literally never got my food after over an hour and a half. Server and manager were inept and clueless. Would not return and would dissuade anyone from going there.

My first visit to Sway Thai was for a special occasion. Interesting arrangement of large family-style tables, but enough space that you don't feel like you are sitting with a stranger. The ambience is beautiful. I felt the food was very pricey for what it was and the amount of food received. The taste was good, so they did well there. But they were out of so many things on a weekend night. How hard is it to have the ingredients for corn fritters? The timing of our food was terrible, first waiting for a long time to receive anything, getting things out of order and waiting a really long time for the next group of plates. The very attentive waiter kept apologizing for the kitchen delay and offered us a free dessert (one. not one each, he was very clear on that.) Between the price and the time delays, we chalked it up to experience but probably won't be back.

The manager, Cara, was rude and unwelcoming. We had a 8:45pm reservation for six. We happened to have two more people and she gave us SUCH a hard time. The restaurant was pretty much empty and she made us wait only to seat us at the table closest to the parking lot with no close-by heaters when the patio was EMPTY. The rooftop was EMPTY and the downstairs was slow but she “had a business to run” and could only give ya the worst seat in the restaurant. NEVER GOING BACK THERE UNTIL NEW MANAGEMENT.

Great food. Took a very long time to get drinks and each course - was told our food was delivered to another seating. Waited 45 mins for drinks and 1st course of food came 15 mins before drinks. Later courses never arrived and we left after sitting 2 hours. Food that came was delicious though.

great spot in west austin for thai, surprisingly nice interiors, welcoming staff, great back patio and bar space. inventive takes on classic dishes. Chicken curry, fresh rolls and vegetarian dishes were excellent. Good quality and nice preparation.

The food is so over priced for the low quality and portions. I’ve been to Thailand many times, they would be embarrassed. Tomato Jelly the texture of melted gummy bears over spring rolls. Even the waiters couldn’t explain it. Beef panang that was more beef fat than beef meat and was 38$ for 4 small pieces of basically beef fat and curry sauce. The server didn’t even notice that we barely ate any of the food. We were planted in the corner of a table that was one big group of friends all together, except for us two. They didn’t seem to want to share our small end of the table and the server didn’t seem to notice there was no room for our plates. It was so loud we couldn’t talk. Fried tofu appetizer was so greasy it leaked grease and leaked oil out onto the plate. Again no one noticed we had eaten only half of ONE piece. And basically they took an almost entirely uneaten plate back when taking plates yet no one asked if there was a problem. The only good thing was the Thai beer. SWAY was So 100% disappointed it’s no wonder you can’t see the name of the restaurant anywhere outside. Left there and went to get something to eat on the way home. Run don’t walk to any other Thai restaurant in Austin. Oh the hostesses were lovely and the best part of the place.

It was our date night. Food and service were excellent! We shared the table with others (a huge square table and four parties took each corner so we didn’t feel crowded), but one person on the table were a super loud talker…so we had hard time hearing each other plus we were distracted. Otherwise, everything was great!

Sway is some of the best restaurants in Austin period. SWAY menu it's delicious, it s exiting and full of exotic flavors and fragrant food. The music, the ambiance all flows quite harmonious and service is top notch. I have gone thru the whole menu and there's anything I don't love. If you're a cocktail fan, you're in for a treat, cocktails are amazing and full of color with an excellent attention to detail I'm flavor balance and presentation.
