   I can't stop raving about this place, it's legit the best experience imaginable. The food was great, the service was great, the quality was great, the presentation and the uniqueness was out of this world. i still can't believe the presentation on the cocktails, each drink was so delicious and so special, served in a very unique vessel, decorated with fresh flowers and birds and feathers, berries and dry ice for that incredible smoke effect. i'm in awe. can't wait to come back THANK YOU FOR AN AMAZING BIRTHDAY!!!    Celebrated a friends bday. The atmosphere is charming and cozy. A gem. The service could not have been better and the food was delish. Especially mushroom barley soup. Forgot to mention the drinks which were so festive, beautifully presented and just great.

   I visited Sveta February 18,2023. Our reservation was set for 8:45pm and we were seated promptly few minutes prior. Server was nice and attentive. Cocktails range from $23 to $30+ dollars more in the pricier side. But cocktails were good and worth for a special occasion. There was a Dj; music was good a bit loud but people seemed to be enjoying themselves. The place was fully booked but we never felt rushed throughout dinner. Overall good place for a date night.

    I came for my birthday brunch. The drinks and presentation was excellent. They even provided the most delicious pastry with a candle to celebrate my bday. I would definitely come back for the drinks. I had steak and eggs for brunch and it was just ok. Everything else was absolutely fabulous.

    We booked on a whim because it was one of the only options that could hold 11. We couldn't be happier. The servers recommended we try the Sveta Mystery - a cocktail with your choice of liquor that is presented in a unique way. The table continued to be amazed by each drink, all looking like whimsical art projects but also tasting great. The portions of both appetizers and entrees were actually reasonable - wheras many places will charge an arm and a leg for three bites. The ambiance was unique and decorations were funky and fun. Service was attentive and the owner stopped by several times. Would highly recommend!

    Fantastic experience. The cocktails were presented creatively and beautifully. The food was delicious. The owner of the restaurant came over and introduced himself to us as soon as we sat down. The owner went through the menu with my husband, who cannot eat anything with dairy, and told my husband which dishes he could eat, and what he could modify to avoid dairy, and what he should avoid. That was very helpful and caring. We will definitely return to this restaurant.

    Brilliant as always, welcoming as always, food is amazing as always. We've had birthdays for grownups and 10-year-olds here, and both are wonderful. Our favorite restaurant in all NYC. Slava Ukraini!

    The main down side to this restaurant was the wait. It is not the ideal spot for a large party (+15). We waited over half hour to be seated even with a reservation well in advance and a confirmation call the day of. It was not pleasant having the entire party waiting to be seated for so long. The workers did seem apologetic for the wait and did offer complementary shots and champagne while we waited. It was very loud and busy. The restaurant is also pretty small. Other than that the food and drinks were fantastic. Presentation of all the drinks and dishes were stunning. Everyone enjoyed what they ordered. Definitely recommend going with a small group and acknowledging that there might be a wait.

    Loved the atmosphere. The annoying girl sitting next to us had a penetrating voice so hopefully you won't see her. Drinks amazing, a bit expensive but special. Waiters very very nice and accommodating! Have the filet mignon crostinis1

    Came here for brunch. The establishment was very full and lively. Everyone was happy and having fun. We had to wait a little for our table, maybe 15-20 minutes, not bad for such a jammed pack place. It was a nice diverse crowd. The tables were a bit tight but it’s NYC , that’s life. Our server was straight to the point and all about business. While taking our order, my friend made a joke and our server was not amused and let us know that , he said he’s very busy and doesn’t have time for jokes. We were torn by this because, it was very busy , that was true but it was just a quick 1 second joke. After that he said he’ll come back to get that last drink order. I give him credit, he did return quickly. I think it would help, if they put a picture of the drinks on the menu because everyone comes for the beautiful drinks they see on IG but when reading the drink menu, you don’t know, which is which. The drinks were all cool and beautiful drinks . Two drinks tasted plain and ok and two drinks were really good but that’s just my opinion. The mystery drink was the best. It was the tastiest and the coolest. The food came out and the burger was Amazing!!! The steak and eggs was definitely tasty , the only complaint was it was smaller than what I expected and the steak was cold, no way around it , it was cold but my egg was very hot, a balance , I guess. The lobster salad was very good. The ambience was definitely cool. I would recommend this establishment to others. It’s definitely a good experience.

    Woooweee we we're 45 minutes late and the other half of our party was waiting as was the restaurant! We called at the time of the rez to say we were going to be late. It was a bustling brunch day and didn't imagine we'd be seated. Well, they couldn't have been more gracious and civilized about it. We waited about 15 minutes once we arrived and then were seated. The lobster Benedict, French toast and stroganoff burger were exceptional. One entree arrived without the other three. So it became cold while we waited. Didn’t ding a star, but wanted to mention this was the only issue. The drinks were freakin adorable. We had rock candy and peacock feathers in the pink champagne margaritas. We didn't opt for the cotton candy in the mimosa as it took a few extra minutes to prepare. Tip: order the sugar donuts. You can thank me later. We can’t wait to come by for dinner.

    Absolutely the best food, service and ambience. If you want great food, lots of attention and fun, this is the place to go. The owner is great, he wanted to be sure all patrons were happy and well fed. Super friendly, creative cocktails and the food was wonderful . Great selection.

    The food and experience were amazing. There was a delay in getting seated despite our having reservations and we watched other parties be seated before us. The host tried to make it seem like we needed to have our entire party with us to be seated to seat us though that wasn’t the case for other parties. However, he did make it up to us later with complimentary champagne. Everything we ate and drank was not only tasty but fun and visually appealing. I will be going back.

    We were looking for a fun restaurant with an eclectic menu and moderate prices for NYC and boy, did we find it in Sveta!! The decor is fanciful and fun. My only complaint was that the music was a bit loud. Drinks are not inexpensive, but a portion of the $22 cost goes to support food for Ukraine. That said, the cocktails are amazingly handcrafted and entertaining…mine came bubbling with dry ice in a light bulb (Energy), while another came in a bird shaped glass with feathers in the tail, on a cotton candy nest! Each was creative and fun, as well as delicious. The food choices are varied and also delicious. After appetizers of grilled octopus, veal dumplings, and wild mushroom barley soup, we had hanger steak with chimichurri, salmon on wild mushroom risotto, chicken, and beef stroganoff. All delicious and beautifully served. For dessert, we shared a ferris wheel of small beignets with a gooseberry compote….just enough. Service was friendly and efficient. We did not once have to ask for the water carafes to be refilled. Dinner with drinks, appetizers, mains and shared dessert came to about $80 a person, and worth every penny. We would definitely eat here again.
