BIM bam bop and Szechuan green beans are excellent, service was great
Great food. Calamari was delicious.
Valentines Day needed more help in kitchen and servers
Good service and tasty foods !
We enjoyed meeting at Suzie’s with our group of eight. The server was knowledgeable and attentive and the food was excellent. Everyone got something different and everyone enjoyed their meal. High marks for this restaurant.
Perfect place to celebrate, have conversation and incredibly good food! So many choices all of which are excellent.
It was cool
Service and foods were delicious!
Don't know why it wasn't that crowded. Course it was a week night!
Excellent food! Fantastic service! A holiday tradition.
Had a variety of food and drinks.
Started with the margarita with sake. Nice and sour. Really good. We also had the martini with sake. Really good and strong.
2 had Pad Thai with shrimp. Both loved it.
One had Jap Chae and loved it.
And Bi Bim Bap was really good with crunchy rice on the bottom. Excellent.
Had edamame and the ginger house salad for starters. No one complained.
Really good food and service.
Great service and food. Best Asian food I’ve found in the city!
As always, our experience was terrific!
Great food. We said we were in a bit of a hurry, as we were going to a play. The food took an inordinately long time to come. We were rushing to leave by the time the bill came. Then you had issues with the credit card machine. It ended up taking way to long, and we were late for the play.
I LOVE this place! The food is outstanding, the sommelier gave terrific wine recommendation and "story" behind the wine, it was quiet and comfortable, and we were not rushed by staff at all. This is only the second time I have been there and the sommelier remembered the previous time I was there with 3 others and the wine that we drank that night in July. Amazing! I will definitely go back. I felt so welcomed.
Excellent service with a staff of waiters that will actually speak Mandarin or Cantonese with you as you dine!
The service was excellent at Suzie Wong's but I was not a fan of the food. The dish I got was very brown, despite it being a vegetarian dish. The tofu was way too greasy, and oil came out with each bite. Despite it feeling like a very heavy meal, it was not flavorful.
This was not our first visit to Suzie Wong's, so we knew what to expect. Service is always excellent, and I've never eaten anything there that wasn't delicious. There were four of us in the group, and we each ordered completely different things. My order included an appetizer of crab rangoon, always good, followed by the Vietnamese Pho, which I love. Others in the group ordered edamame and egg roll appetizers, followed by mussels, pineapple chicken, and a cocoanut dish with shrimp and chicken. We all accompanied our meals with wines that we enjoyed. We will be going back.
We had a great meal at Suzi Wong’s. Server was knowledgeable about wine.
The waiter brought the wrong item ordered said that was what was ordered. I Specifically ordered a spicy item, the only one in that group, and said i liked it spicier. He said it was a lunch item and they could do it but it would cost more. After taking the wrong entree back he said cooks get upset when they have to do an entree over i told him to forget making a replacement. I watched my husband eat and I fixed a bite at home . Never have had a waiter tell me the staff was upset.
Both my husband and I were disappointed in our meals; blah, flavorless.
Always good, fast and friendly with reasonable prices.
This restaurant has a lot of great food, but the prices are a little steep. Our waiter was a little weird. He'd show up at our table, but not say anything and just look out the window. Then he didn't write our order down and had to come back to verify the order when his memory failed him. Then we were shorted a spring roll order, but he gave us edamame free to make up for it while we waited for the missing order to be cooked and delivered. And he gave us the wrong rice (brown instead of white). When we asked for the check, instead of letting us view it, he just picked up the credit card I had out and charged it. Only after he charged the card did we get a copy of the receipt. Everything was correct, but that's generally not what servers should do.
Maybe it was an off night for him. Either way, this is the only visit in which the service wasn't stellar, so it's probably an anomaly.
Anyway, I love this restaurant and will go again. The food is good and the atmosphere is great.
Great food and great service...we really enjoyed our meal and will be back.
We were really disappointed - this was just not the place we had been before. Service was inattentive - waiter forget the appetizer we ordered with drinks, didn't come back to check our main dishes and when finished we had difficulty getting his attention to get our check. My wife's main dish came out 5 minutes before mine. Honey glazed chicken was mushy. Stone bowl dish tasteless. Very sad, we were looking forward to another great outing.
Michael provided excellent personal service and recommendations as usual. Thank you Michael!
I was very disappointed with my lunch. Too much sweet sauce on my chicken and the egg roll
was tasteless. This restaurant has definitely declined since it first opened. I don't think I will return.
Our group reserved a table for 5 for a birthday celebration, we had a wonderful time. Great and calm atmosphere conducive to conversation. The waite staff was wonderful and very knowledgeable. Would absolutely go again.
Server was great!
Great neighborhood place. Good food selection at a great price. Our server Michael was awesome!
It was a super busy and hectic night at the restaurant but the manager, Michael, was friendly, helpful and attentive so we really enjoyed the experience. Thanks Michael!
The food was good but we made reservations and still had to wait over an hour. Staff seemed stressed and frustrated throughout.
Xmas dinner. The placed was packed which equated to extremely slow service. It took 45 minutes for our order to be taken, An egg roll arrived 35 minutes later. It was okay. Our food arrived 55 minutes after we ordered. Two tables that were seated after us that had more people, got their food first. The supreme fish was good but the orange glazed beef had meat that was tough and chewy and for the most part, inedible. They apologized at the end for the delay but they should have had more than 5 people working. Not a great first impression.
Excellent Asian fusion food. The waiter was very attentive and let us know he could have the chef vary the selections according to options such a vegan and vegetarian.
Very good upscale Chinese dining. Similar to pfchangs. Would recommend if in area!
Enjoyed the food and surroundings. Our waiter was very good with a broad knowledge of their wines.
Love love love Suzie W. Great food with great service... Always enjoy going and enjoying a meal there...
Pre-show dinner for 2. Nice neighborhood bistro, promptly seated and served. We focused on small plates, especially liked the veggie spring rolls but also enjoyed the seabass entre. Drinks & food + tip = $75
We picked this place because of the reviews and for my daughter, who is a vegetarian. The food was excellent -- my wife claims that the coconut curry shrimp (served in a coconut) was the best curry she has ever had. I had the bi bim bap (sp?) with duck -- also very good. The Vietnamese egg rolls were also very tasty. I have forgotten the waiter's name but he is a former actor and his presentation skills were both informative and fun. Highly recommend.
We were looking to try a new place and saw Suzie Wong’s on Open Table and decided to try it out for dinner. We tried a variety of appetizers: Crab Rangoon, Vietnamese Roll and Seaweed Salad. Everything was served fresh. We also tried the ginger lemon tea. It has a nice flavor. The waiter was attentive and did not rush us. For dinner we got Buddha Delight, Five Spice Duck, and Chicken. Everything was great sized portions and two of us could not finish our meals.
They were not busy. They food was good.
I've been to Suzie Wong's twice now, and both times the food was very good. The bibimbap was exceptional, as was the calamari appetizer. On the first visit, the service was atrocious. The second time was better. We had the same server both times, and he seems to alternate between being overly attentive and then forgetting about you for a half hour at a time.
