I’ve been here prior and I’ve always loved the beautiful as well as delicious food and well crafted drinks. I came back for Valentine’s Day and I loved that they had the prefix as well as the overall dinner menu. I did the prefix and it came with four courses and wine for each course! The food was amazing and the price could not have been beaten. The live music was a little loud but still great. The food took awhile to come but that was to be expected , it being so busy. I will def be returning!
Brunch date with my son overall was pretty nice the young lady that served us didn’t have the most approachable personality but everything else was great we will return soon
Waiter warmed up from initial seating and really came into his element of suggesting and catering to our needs. From appetizers to main courses were excellent.
I was very impressed with the quality of the food. I cant believe that i didn't come here sooner. Everyone needs to come and check it out.
Frequent visitor and I've never been disappointed. This review is on my latest visit. The fried shrimp dumplings were delicious and flavorful. The Salmon with plantain cakes and mash potatoes was also delicious and full of flavor. The salmon was cooked just right. You could taste the freshness of the plantains. The guava tres-leche dessert was my favorite. I will definitely come back again.
We came for brunch as we have twice before and as always everything was delicious. Our waiter was super attentive and courteous. Love recommending this Bronx gem.
Food and drinks were absolutely delicious. Waiters were very attentive and the music was great. Overall, it was a successful date!
A beautiful place with delicious food and service. Love the ambiance.
The starters were really good and generous portions but main dishes were very disappointing. Chicken was burnt but still under cooked, sauce was good. The churrasco was overcooked but no nice sear or char and very very flavorless. Would not come back.
Perfect in all aspects. Drinks were on par with the best places in the city and food was savory and fresh.
The ambiance was very nice the food was excellent the band was playing but a volume level where you can have a conversation without having shout.
Great food, great drinks and amazing service from our waiter/server Angel.
I had been to Suyo before but this was overall by far my best experience. Our server Diana made the night incredible. She took her time to explain the dishes and drinks and never missed a beat with her customer service. She is professional and courteous. Based on this experience I will certainly return with the hopes we receive the same service we did from Diana. Thank you!
We order meat with mofongo the mofongo was good but the meat was hard to cut and it didn’t have no taste inside only in the outside, the waiter was a little rude as well...
Waited a while to be served. The food as always was great.
I went there for my Wife's birthday and we had a Great Time...
The Food & Drinks were really good and our Waiter, Nelson was on Point w/ his Food and Drink Recommendations...
Good place for friends getting together, great tasting food, neighborhood gem,
Long wait for entree’s
This place is like a diamond in the rough. Total experience was perfect.
I love this restaurant. I’m a regular there, and I always get amazing service. Unfortunately I didn’t feel that way this time around, I had to ask the other waiter from the other section to send me my waiter. Drinks were late, the food took forever to come out because he forgot to take our order. He constantly forgot to go to our section, and I was over it. I also wanted to be seated in the VIP section, and I just got seated at a regular table. If the VIP was not available , the hostess could’ve told me. Food is always on point , I guess it was just one of those days.
The environment was really nice and not what i expected. The service was good as well very attentive. The food was good too. I had the shrimp with soba noodles and my partner had the scallops all were cooked to perfection. As an appetizer i had the seafood soup which was alright you can tell all the seafood was frozen and they defrosted it for the soup. My partner had the ceviche which we have had a million other times in other places and the shrimp with half way cooked in the citrus. So we got a Raw, chewy and rubbery taste and feel at the same time. We ate everything else in the ceviche except for that because when we said something the cook told the waitress to tell us “thats the way they make it” umm ok thanks we wont order that again. Overall the experience was great also the drinks are all special so make sure you take you camera out for the show. Its video worthy!!!!
the place does not look like much from the outside, BUT once you step inside it's a whole other world. i loved it especially the bar. it is like no other it is beautiful. the drinks ,food service are excellent. the atmosphere is great. and there is always something going on. live music ,entertainment etc. its a good place to just hang out for a few hour. the only think you have to watch out for is an 18% gratuity charge after $100.00. but the prices for the drinks and food are more or less what you will expect from a good restaurant it is well worth it. i would definitely recommend this place to anyone.
Amazing place. 5 star Upper east side restaurant ambiance but right here in the Bronx. The grilled octopus is amazing. The was some of the Mofongo best I've had ever. This is probably where I get fat at over the winter.
Ordered the Lomo Saltado & it was a very spicy meal. My date had the Churrasco & it was quite good. I wish the waiter told me about the Lomo Saltado being so spicy- I wouldn’t have ordered it. The best part of the dining experience was the desert which we had the tres leches along with the atmosphere but the live music was too much for us.
This place is awesome and the staff is amazing
Cool vibe, great food and friendly service. The found was outstanding and unique. Shishito peppers and Asian guacamole were delish
The staff were very friendly and attentive. Their live musician is nice but I prefer the DJ, as it makes the place more upbeat. Drinks were awesome! Loved their lamb chops, Scallops, and Sweet Plantain Mofongo.
This spot is a diamond in the rough! Love the ambience, the service, the menu and the drinks. Bubbles abs Dreams drink is one of my favs. Live music during brunch, amazing! Love the idea of the pop up vendors on second floor. I may become a regular.
Arrived on time for our reservation for a party of 5 and were seated in an awkward table composed of two round tables. The hostess graciously accommodated us at another table once a more appropriate one became available only to be told that the wait time for food would be at least 40 minutes long if we were lucky, we had already waited half a half hour for an appropriate table. Needless to say we opted to leave before tasting any of the food. Truly a shame as the place looks promising and the food looked tasty. I believe quality or experienced management is lacking.
The food and craft cocktails were outstanding. We were quite surprised to find this jewel in the area. A bit of upscale uptown. Felt authentic to the area, though. Would love to see more spots like this in the area that hold true to the roots of the neighborhood!! We will definitely be back.
Since they changed the menu there is nothing I really wanted to eat...drinks are still Great
I loved the decor and lighting! The food was good. However, the portions are small and side dishes are an extra charge. The service was very poor! We had to keep asking the person who refilled our water for our waiter so we could order more drinks. I ordered a medium steak, waited for an hour to receive a well-done. I was so hungry by that time that I refused to send it back. When I was done eating, my medium steak was brought. We were a group of 7 so I expected more follow up on the part of our waiter. We would have definitely bought more drinks, but it took forever to get his attention or to have them delivered.
It was wonderful! The drinks and food were top quality
Took my GF, her mother and her aunt to dinner last Friday. Suyo is my favorite restaurant in the Bronx. Love that it's close to home. Food was exceptional. Drinks were great as always. They loved their dinner, ambiance, drinks, service.
It was amazing. The crowd was mostly teachers grabbing a drink and food on a Friday. Loved the atmosphere. Because of the clientele, they might think of expanding by adding a second bar upstairs. Most of the diners were posted up at the bar. It was a little bumping to get out. I’m overall, it was great. If you want to skip the after work teacher group, go in the middle of the week. You will love the food.
The best restaurant in the Bronx period !! Food drinks service and ambiance were off the charts .. loved it and can’t wait to return! Thank you for a beautiful evening. Shout out to the best waiter ever Nixon .
The ambiance is outstanding and the food selection was very good. I enjoyed my.meal as well as the attentive servers. I've already recommended it to several friends.
The food is delicious and our waitress Leslie was very nice. I highly recommend people to try this restaurant. The ambiance and the drinks were amazing
Good food, excellent service
