Had a wonderful time. Staff was friendly and attentive. Autumn took care of us this evening and was quite knowledgeable about the menu items, and all the fancy food words I didn't know. She made excellent wine pairing recommendations and ensured we were satisfied with everything. Food was delicious and flavors balanced. Portions were much larger than we anticipated. This is a hidden gem of a restaurant.
I love the relaxed feel of this place great variety of wild caught fish! I definitely would return to try more dishes.
Beautiful neighborhood spot worth traveling to. Great quiet atmosphere with a good menu and excellent fish entrees. Enjoyed lobster dumpling appetizer and marinated cod main course. First-rate service and gratuity included. Highly recommend.
Delightful in every way!
Lovely cozy unpretentious spot. We will be back!
Lovely restaurant. My wife and I had a lovely dinner. Food was excellent, staff was wonderful and the atmosphere was cozy and quiet. We will be back.
We had a lovely waitress. The food was very good The decor could use updating
Amazing food and spectator service!!! The duck will blow your mind!
Always have the duck and never disappointed
Great but they ran out of soup!
Another great experience. Was initially bummed they were out of salmon but once we had Cod and Chicken we quickly forgot about it. Delish!!
This was our first time and we loved the food and the service. After we left, I said to my boyfriend we need to come back soon. He said he wanted to walk around the block and go back now to try the salmon! We had a wonderful time! More than highly recommend this restaurant.
The food was delicious. The service was helpful and friendly. We appreciated the no-tipping policy. The entire evening wasn't in our Top 10 Manhattan Restaurants (this town is so competitive!) but it was a very good meal in a lovely environment. Maybe the tables are a little too close, so it got a bit noisy. All in all, we had a good time and will return in the spring when bluefish promises to be back on the menu.
Exquisite food, excellent staff, and a festive atmosphere for New Year's Eve.
A nice neighbourhood restaurant. Food was excellent, service friendly. However, the food was delivered too quickly even when we said that we need some time between the main course and the dessert. It was a New Years Eve - certainly there were many reservations. However, when you feel like you are being pushed out and swallow your dessert as quickly as possible, it will not urge you to come back anytime soon.
Amazing food and amazing service!!
Thank you very much.Food was delicious.Service was great.Happy New Year!
Appetizers were very good. The risotto was one of the best I ever had. The potatoes as side order were very good too. The main dishes (sweet potato gnocchi & the salmon )were underwhelming
Eat here frequently. Must admit a little disappointed this time. Food was just ok. Usually superb. Not sure what happen.
My friend introduced me to this restaurant. It’s been great dinning every time we come. Great service , knowledgeable and professional staffs . Food always good , the love and enjoyment of the chef reallly comes through . It’s less and less to find this type of small restaurant in Manhattan. My favorites are the lobster dumplings, venison and any pasta special they will have for the evening ....
The fixed price Christmas eve dinner has a wonderful selection of items and is the perfect start of the holidays. I highly recommend Sutton Inn .
The service is excellent and the food is very good.
Amazing date night spot.
Sutton Inn was a wonderful restaurant. The ambiance was cozy and homey and beautifully decorated. Our server was very nice and had a great sense of humor. We were surprised to see that they don't accept tips! This was our first time at a restaurant that didn't accept tips and the service was impeccable. As a matter of fact, we went out to dinner the next night - were there was tipping and the service at Sutton was better!! The food was OUTSTANDING! My teens had the Lobster Dumplings which they both raved about, the dumplings had substantial pieces of lobster. I had the Wild Black Sea Bass which was done to perfection and the flavors in the dish were amazing. We ordered a side of crispy potatoes - OMG! If you love potatoes - these are the best I've ever eaten - they were so crunchy and delicious. For dessert both my kids also ordered the chocolate mousse crunch, it didn't disappoint! The meal was a little pricey, but I assume the prices are higher to reflect no tipping. Either way this was easily one of the best restaurants we've been to in NYC and afar in a long time and we travel/eat out all the time. We will be back!
A hidden gem that we are so fortunate to have in our neighborhood. Everything is superb. Five stars! We love the servers, the innovative and locally sourced cuisine. The chef/owner is a marvel. Everyone we bring to the restaurant is completely impressed and they almost always return on their own. The best!!
Neighborhood gem with wonderful prix fixe. Great food and service.
Food was very good and flavorful. They know how to cook here. Service was a bit spotty- some very attentive and others not. Will go back to this neighborhood gem.
The food and service were good. Ambiance was so-so, a bit quiet and our table was drafty. The caramelized butternut was good but small and not quite what we expected. The bok choy was slightly oily and I would have liked more seasoning. Loved the homemade bread! For the main course I had the venison and my husband had the mushroom risotto, both delicious! For dessert I devoured the chocolate mouse cake - so yummy! Yes, there is no tipping her but the price of the food makes up for that. Overall, it was a good dinner but not sure we'll be back. So many other places to try. It's worth trying none-the-less.
An excellent evening in every way. The food was absolutely delicious, fresh, lite, every bite gave you a special sensation. The presentation was exceptional, the waitstaff was friendly, kind, courteous
There is serious talent in the kitchen. The food is prepared with skill and well presented. The bar in the back is a gem. The waitstaff is professional and one member, Autumn, is simple the very best.
Sutton Inn never fails to provide a really amazing meal. We return regularly and always enjoy the food. The service can be a bit uneven, but always friendly (this time no one brought bread until we asked for it...). This is a "no tip" establishment, so we can forgive these small issues. The decor is non-descript. If good food is what you are interested in, you cannot do better. I admire what the young chef is doing here and we will return again soon.
Love this charming restaurant. Great food, service and you can hear the people you are with
Service slightly haphazard in an inoffensive way and part of our order never arrived but the ambience and the food more than made up for those shortcomings. Will very happily return.
As always, the Sutton Inn always exceeds itself. Our waitress, Autumn, was so helpful in making our choices and so very professional. We will be back!
This is the third spectacular experience I have had at this divine, cosy place. The service is always exquisite and well balanced. The food sumptuous but not over-composed. Flavors are beautifully balanced. Atmosphere is so lovely, even when full there is still plenty of space. The wine selections are also very good.
Can't wait to go back! Have the DUCK!!!!
A favorite local restaurant serving creative, seasonal food. The menu is varied and every dish is delicious and attractively presented. Service is usually very good, occasionally less so.
This is one of my favorite restaurants in the city. A true hidden treasure serving delicious food with great service!
Great food and wonderful ambiance. This is a hidden gem.
We enjoyed it very much
