Thanksgiving dinner was poor considering the high price. Some items were running out and meats were served in watery containers. Very limited selections of food items. Deserts were uninspired, pies looked to be purchased from the local grocery store. One dessert was inedible by everyone at the table due to excessive seasoning. Won’t go back.

The service was great, food was delicious and served in a timely manner. Presentation was very impressive. Lilia S. was our server and she was phenomenal! She’s very knowledgeable of the menu and made spot-on recommendations. Ambiance was relaxing and inviting. The entire experience was superb.

Based on previous reviews I expected a nicer experience. I had a 630 reservation, arrived on time and there was no host available for at least 10 minutes. When I was greeted, my table wasn’t ready/set so they had to spend another five minutes getting it set. Menu options were limited and uninspired for the price point. Our campfire queso came out lukewarm warm and my Caesar salad was forgettable with too Much cheese and store bought croutons. Steak was ok, ordered it Rare+, came out Medium Rare and was never asked if the temperature was ok. Ambience was meh, loud kitchen interrupted our conversation multiple times and for a $200 meal, the overall experience was underwhelming. I def felt like I was in a hotel restaurant instead of a fine dining establishment. Just felt more like a place for brunch than a nice dinner. Wouldn’t recommend and likely won’t return due to the lack of value vs price point/quality.

I can't say that I've EVER stayed anywhere better! This was an absolutely amazing experience. We plan on becoming members so we can go back from time to time without hassle. I can't wait to visit again! Everyone was so kind and so nice!!! Just friendly all around and it felt like family!!! <3

Clean and bright environment. Limited, basic menu. Nice staff, but our waitress was limited on her knowledge of the menu and it’s descriptions. Everything was “good“ or “popular“ but no information beyond that. can’t say I’d be eager to go back there again, even though the food was delicious. There just wasn’t anything that “wows.”

My friend and I love going to Sustenio. We sit in the bar so that we can enjoy a great meal and play cards afterwards. The staff are always super friendly and attentive. We had the Crispy Brussel Sprouts to start off then had the Shrimp and Grits and an Autmn Salad with blackened Chicken. No photos taken but the food is always consistently delicious!

We were disappointed with our Mother’s Day Brunch. There was a wide selection. The omelet was okay, but most of the main entrees were pretty bad. The prime rib was very overcooked and dry, and the salmon was fishy tasting. The best part was the salad. When the bill came, we were surprised to see there was already a 25% gratuity added for our party of five. This surprised me because it was a buffet. The servers only had to refill our water and take stone plates off the table. They had trouble getting the mimosa order correct. Overall, we were disappointed with the meal and the total price.

The food was ok, nothing was impeccable or outstanding. The best part of the meal was the Caesar salad. The pizza was underdone and the steak was cooked inconsistently, along with the sides. We were not greeted at the host stand although we stood there for a few minutes. I don’t think we would return to this restaurant.

The staff and service at the restaurant were excellent and accommodating. The Eilan hotel staff however were horrible. After our dinner, we took (non-flash) pictures on our phone after our dinner and was treated very rudely. Told we couldn’t take pictures by the empty staircase and the guy who claimed to be the hotel manager was threatening and blocked us from taking a group picture. Needless to say, I will not consider staying at Eilan Hotel at all!

Staff was great, manager was great. Ambience was beautiful, quiet, intimate for a lovely birthday dinner. Menu was awesome. I would like to try the ribeye chicharron -they were not available…but all meal options were great. Beverages not so much… I think they need work. Sparkling wine doesn’t go in a sangria. And too much banana in the rum bunch. Otherwise we had a great time and will return.

Understaffed. didn’t have menus available. didn’t have steak knives available. Ordered a medium steak and when it came out it was Bleu. When they took my steak back I was told they would make a new one instead they brought the same steak out with a charred exterior and still Bleu. I will never go back and definitely not pay $80 again for a steak that was burnt and still mooing. Didn’t get one refill unless I got up and asked for it. The table cloth still had stains on it from before my reservation. My whole meal was $230 and I would’ve been better off at Texas Roadhouse.

Expected a dining experience at a nice hotel to be elevated. It was none of this. Apart from the kind server, I did not enjoy this restaurant. Chopped salad looked like regular salad that had been tossed in the dressing with sliced tomatoes and chives. Salmon over cooked and dry, chicken cutlet with pasta was bland. Ordered chocolate cake for dessert but sent back- reminded me of those vending machine brownies. Will not return and do not recommend unless something changes.

We ended up sitting in the bar area because we wanted to play cards afterwards. The bartender who served us was amazing. She was super friendly and responsive. We had the brussel sprouts as an appetizer and they were to die for! For dinner we had the wedge salad, shrimp and grits and a caprese pizza. Everything was delicious!

One server/hostess/table clearer for 6-8 tables. If there were more staff, they were probably sitting around watching the World Cup finals. Coffee was luke warm. Steak (& eggs) was waaaaaaaay overcooked. Forgot silverware. I don’t know if it’s just awful service all over San Antonio, but I thought this was a luxury hotel.

Waitress was very nice. They were out of all chicken dishes - because "they forgot to order". Ordered the steak Rare, and it came out cold in the center - waitress was surprised and thought PETA might should get involved. She did offer to do a reheat, but we were done at that point. Overall it looks like the hotel is being run on a shoestring budget.

All staff were very actively focused on customer service from the moment we arrived. All servers stayed busy attending to their tables and we were very fortunate to have Sierra assigned to us. She was all smiles and positivity as she checked on us repeatedly — definitely the MVP for our experience.

Overall, the Thanksgiving buffet was excellent. The wait staff was customer service oriented. The staff made you feel satisfied and appreciated. They ensured you were completely satisfied. They made frequent rounds and answered questions accordingly. They were extremely dedicated and energetic employees. They worked in harmony with colleagues. They ensured that food was available in all receptacles. The quality of the food was great. It was hot to the palate. The buffet was set up with easy access to plates, silverware, etc. I would highly recommend Sustenio - Eilan Hotel to family and friends.
