Had awesome time with wife on a date. Will go back again soon, wait staff was prompt as well as great service.
We had a great night
Good food and good wine!!
Apps delicious... Steak and wedge outstanding.
We didnt even know there were specials for the night because our waitress didnt tell us we overheard another waitress tell another table, I think for the steak salad I got 19$ was way over priced.
Excellent food and desserts. Service was excellent!
Service was very slow and food was luke warm. After seeing many tables seated after us get their food before ours arrived, we inquired about our food status and it arrived immediately. As previously noted, wasn’t hot but didn’t want to send it back since we weren’t sure how long it would take and we wanted to leave. Server presented indifferent regarding the delay. Won’t be returning.
The service by Rachel was spectacular!!! Best service I have had in a long time at a restaurant.
Great food and atmosphere. Staff is always engaging and fun too. Highly recommend it!
Service was except. Waiter was helpful and very friendly. We really enjoyed all our meals and drinks. It was a great spot to celebrate.
Went on mother's day. Had reservation for 6:30. Did not get seated until 7:10. Waitress seemed like she was high. Soda was watered down so we asked them to change the syrup and they did. Ordered appetizer. It arrived about a minute AFTER or main course so we rejected it. Food was lukewarm at best. Broccoli crunch and potatoes chewy. Got free dessert out of it. If they are on their game it can be one of the best experiences. We went once in the winter and it was a complete 360. It was amazing. This time, not so much.
Mother's day is s very busy time and I do understand the wait times for food, but our meals were hastily prepared. Ranging from cold to burnt. I was not able to eat my entree, unfortunately, but they did remove from the bill. Three other meals in the group would have been sent back on an ordinary day, but they were eaten due to the long wait. So if you go, avoid busy times. We have been there before and have had positive experiences. I should have complained more, but it was mother's day and I didn't want the group's memory to be of a really below average meal AND me throwing a fit. I posted a review on their website and the owner asked me to reach out to the manager who did contact me quickly.
Waited 35 minutes past reservation time to be seated. Waited 55 minutes for two entrees. Didn’t even offer dessert. No apologies. No visit from manager. Will not return.
It was Mother’s Day, and the kitchen was obviously understaffed or didn’t have a strong leader. We waited over an hour for our food. We had our five year old with us, and he was very restless and hungry. Not a very good experience to say the least. There was no manager present in the dining room at any point.
had reservations for 5:45 and wasn't seated until 6:40 and our appetizers finally arrived by 7:45 and full two hours past our reservation time. I didn't realize that a reservation wasn't honored at this restaurant and had to wait almost an hour to be seated and another hour for our food to be served.
Way overbooked. We went for Mother’s Day and had to wait about 30 past our reservation time and the. An hour for our food.
Dined on Mother’s Day. Kitchen could not keep up. Waited over an hour for the meal. One item was not cooked sufficiently. Will not return on holiday.
The wait was extremely long after we ordered our food. When we finally got it, it was cold. Our server was in and out so it was hard to reorder drinks.
We always have at least a satisfactory meal. Sometimes it's better than others, but never anything less than satisfactory. The service was slow, but, in fairness, it was Mother's Day so the restaurant was packed. We appreciate the few vegan options for our vegan friends, but wish there were a few more.
My girlfriend and I took our mothers out for Mother’s Day. It took over an hour and change for our food to come out. Our server checked on us once during that time for drink refills and whatnot, no explanation on why the food was taking so long. We had to ask her for another set of refills and only then did she say that the kitchen was running 30-40 minutes on tickets and that our food would be next (30-40 minutes. Keep in mind we’d already been waiting an hour). Our server then proceeded to deliver food to another table in another section. The manager (Kyle) came to our table and apologized for the delay for our food. As he was explaining how busy they were, our food arrived. When our food finally arrived my steak (ordered medium rare) was rare. Fine, I can deal with that - I don’t mind more rare steak. My mother’s filet mignon (ordered medium) came out medium well to well done. This was while Kyle was still at our table. So, we sent my mom’s steak back. They returned with a new filet for my mom 12 minutes later. The steak they gave her as a replacement was underdone - it was medium rare - and Kyle was there to see this, as well. He offered to take it back again, but my mom decided to eat it instead, since we’d already been waiting this long (about 1 hour and 40 minutes into our “meal”). Then we found it hadn’t even been seasoned - it was just a bland steak - for which they charge $34. Kyle comp’d the filet and our dessert course - much appreciated and we didn’t ask for anything for free. Well handled by Kyle and I understand being busy on a holiday, but this was a bit much. If a restaurant is busy and trying to keep up and they make sloppy mistakes, I understand that. However, I start to complain (and write lengthy reviews) when you’re slow AND sloppy; you don’t get to be both. This was the first poor experience we had at Harvest, and because of Kyle’s proper handling of issues we’ll likely give them another chance. Just not on a holiday.
Harvest is always our "go to" restaurant for special occasions and Mother's Day was no exception.
We loved the brunch menu items and the salmon salad continues to be my favorite.
There was a full house who also seemed to enjoy the food, service, and family celebration of mothers and grandmothers. Loved the joyful noise!!
Yes, but the tofu scramble was not good. The snap peas weren't picked and therefore were not edible an not much flavor. I chose Harvest because of the veg and vegan options, but if your not going to do it well, please don't do it. Overall our service was fantastic, but really disappointed that on Mother's day my vegan mom didn't enjoy nor could eat her entire meal.
This was the worst experience I have ever had at this restaurant. We made a reservation and still waited 30 minutes upon arrival due to them taking walk-ins. The food service was slow and we waited another 20 minutes before someone greeted us after being seated.
On top of all that, my steak was over cooked and the food my wife’s scallops were lukewarm. Truly a horrible experience for a Mother’s Day dinner.
Previously enjoyed the restaurant, and on quiet nights it is very nice. However, on Saturday night, had to wait over 15 minutes for table despite arriving on time for reservation. Additionally, entrees did not arrive for over 1 hour. Steak arrived luke-warm, and fish was overdone. Given prices, this was hardly within range of what I expected. Unlikely to return.
It all depends on whether you get a good server or not. We did not and it was a meh experience. Also, the hostess took forever to seat guests when there was plenty of available tables and everyone had a reservation.
Local sourced ingredients with a diverse, palette pleasing menu. Service was prompt & courteous. Easy reservations through Open Table.
Wonderful staff and management truly made our first visit here for a special night for my family such an amazingly memorable night. There is something to eat and drink for everyone here and staff that will help ensure your visit it caterer to you’re liking. Definitely recommend and will continue to go back!
When visiting Harrisburg, we make it a point to dine at the Harvest Grill. The food is exceptional. It is hard to choose from their menu as the choices all sound delicious. One of the best meals I have ever had! (the trout) I would highly recommend it.
High end for the area. Steaks were tender but needed more seasoning. Flatbreads were light on toppings. $28 corkage fee, again high for the area, basically the price of their cheapest bottle of wine. Server had a hard time opening our bottle of wine and did not serve it properly for a ‘wine bar’, we got about two servings of wine at the first pour between the three of us. Uniforms were very casual for a high end restaurant. Timing of apps and entrees were right on.
Exceptional taste and presentation...a bit loud, but staffing was great
Our meals were prepared nicely but could have been served at a hotter temperature. My steak was hot but the sides were not hot enough.
The food is always spectacular & staff wonderful
Food is always well prepared and presently nicely. Something for every palate. Vegetables are always fresh and used in unique recipes. One of our favorite dining places.
Typically I would, it has been my fav restaurant but I was very disappointed with the egg plant parm this time , very small portion and not overly flavorful
Overall the atmosphere was good. The food was very good although the cauliflower "wings" were not what I expected. Our server was very slow to come at first but then she improved. We would go back but this restaurant seems to be losing its shine for me personally.
Food was exceptional, as always. We’ve been to Harvest several times, and will continue to come back for fantastic food, excellent service and local ingredients. Brittany was a fabulous server.
Our reservation was for 5:30 on a Wednesday so the restaurant was not crowded. Our overall experience was great -- the food was delicious and the service was top notch.
We went out for Easter Sunday with my mother for a late dinner. The appetizers were good. The drinks and desserts were fantastic. The main meals were not great. The rice was undercooked in one meal, and over cooked to the point of crunchy in another, even after being sent back to be fixed. The asparagus was extremely under done. We will be back for apps, drinks, and dessert, but will not be back for a full meal again. Service was good.
We have had wonderful experiences prior to this one. We placed our childrens' meal orders first yet they came almost 10minutes after my entree. My entree also was disappointing and lacked flavor and cohesion. The server didnt seem too concerned. I was hoping she would have made a suggestion or shown more compassion.
From the food to the service, everything is just simply fantastic. Never a disappointment.
