Great place for sushi. Very innovative and sushi is not out more than 20 minutes on conveyor belt before being taken off. Love the concept
We need more places like this. I will be back again and again and again...
We had a great time, perfect for the sushi lover. Everything I had was great. My teenage daughter didn't love the California Roll - the "crab" was pretty poor quality. Would like to see those made with real crab. But everything else was great.
We love this place! Great food, friendly staff and a fun place to eat.
a good place for sushi-foodie beginners... their ramen did not taste like a japanese dish.. ventilation needs improvement.. we left the restaurant with our clothes smelling like the tempura cooking oil. Obviously the kitchen does not have a good ventilation...
Very Clean and sushi was different tasty. I would go back.
Always enjoy coming here
I love Sushi Train!!!
Really great sushi. Very fresh. Lots of options.
We went to Sushi Train to celebrate my daughter's return from a summer trip, and had a wonderful time. Great food. Reasonable (for sushi) price. Terrific service. Quite happy.
Great Place!!! Fun Environments - Great Service! My kids loved it even the little one who isn't a huge Sushi fan- they had PBJ Roll ups!
We had a lot of fun watching all the options go by on the sushi train. My daughter (5) liked being able to pick out things that looked good, and had fun grabbing items for the other people in our group.
Service is limited as the idea is to eat from the conveyor, but you can flag down a server if you need to order a side or a drink.
It is loud, so hard to talk to one another, and I wouldn't call it romantic by any means, and parking is a long shot. So great to drop in if you're already downtown on Nicollet mall!
My friends group went to Sushi Train after our convention was done for the night. It was a total delight! I think this is going to become a new tradition for us to go to. Please be mindful of the staff on incredibly busy nights (after conventions). We were forgotten about our server a few times, but it was understandable given that the place was PACKED. The food was delicious, and the entire conveyer belt situation was really fun. Thank you for not having a time limit for the table, as it sometimes took a while to get the sushi we wanted from the belt.
We were a party of 12 celebrating a teenagers birthday, the staff was accommodating and helpful and food was fantastic!
Lillian was our server was kind, patient and attentive and funny!
Thank you Sushi Train. Very cool experience!
The food was great but the drinks didn’t come until we were almost finished with the meal. Please note this place has poor ventilation in the kitchen. When we left our clothes and coats smelled of burning cooking oil that I imagine was from making tempura. It was quite embarrassing arriving to Orchestra Hall smelling like this. Two days later I had to wash my coat because the smell was still there. Disappointing.
I would suggest going during a rush.
I have been while busy and the sushi is much fresher then. Going before dinner the sushi was not being ate and made as offten.
Room temp sushi is :p
Surprisingly fresh and delicious, most of the "good stuff" was at the $6 per plate price point. Also, there was not a lot of selection in terms of nigiri.
This is a fun experience and food is good. Wait staff was friendly and helpful.
It was a fun time especially for a date. Just wished to have been a bit closer to the “sushi bar” but other than that it was great!
I took two tweens so it was a fun novelty for them. Our server was friendly but not attentive. We gave up on ordering a few appetizers off the menu because by time she came by, it was too late. The sushi is mediocre. The fish selection is pretty basic - salmon, tuna, scallop, eel ... There is definitely much better sushi around, but this was fun for the kids. It was $75 for the 3 of us (with tax and tip).
It was a fun intro to conveyor service. Great value for a table of 4, with drinks, for under $100.
Great service - Fun experience -Excellent sushi!! Went to Sushi Train for daughter's 16th birthday dinner
She loved it...we will definitely go again!
Food is on the expensive side but then you are paying for the experiencing too. If you want to indulge in sushi and save money I would recommend the sushi buffet otherwise if you want the experience this would do once in a log while. I would recommend making a reservation.
Everything’s ok just the parking issue it take me 45 Minutes. It good to let the customer know where and how to get a parking spot
This was a fun place to try different types of sushi without committing to an entire roll. It can get pricey if you aren't watching what color plate you are grabbing, but it's worth it for the experience.
This is rotation sushi! It's been interesting to watch sushi come and go while having dinner. The place was quite clean and the server was friendly. The sushi was fresh though a bit small. Considering the price, it was a good experience to dine there.
Fresh rolls, and what a fun concept! Cocktails were a tad pricey, and booth was a little cramped, but overall an amazing experience!
