Food is good but the service and fun atmosphere is what would bring us back in a heartbeat!
12 dishes, delicious sake and good japanese scotch, nice ambiance and great service.
Now here we go! From the moment you set foot in the former Versace mansion, you know you are someplace special and it just keeps getting better. The Sushi Suite is on the third floor overlooking Ocean Drive and the magnificent Versace pool. The bar area is really cozy but the vibe is amazing. The staff literally wait on you hand and foot and it doesn't take long to feel like you have been coming there forever.
The sushi bar seated eight people and two chefs handled it all. Each course of the omakase meal was prepared before your eyes and the chef made sure it was something you liked before he made it. Without a blink of an eye, he made substitutes to suit your taste buds. The whole experience takes an hour and you are welcome to wander around the mansion public areas as part of the experience. The price was amazing for the value. Just go and you'll understand.
Superb experience. The chef delighted us with one succulent dish after the next. It was my first Omakase experience, and definitely worth it. It can be a bit pricy, but worth every penny! Definitely recommend it, and the setting could not be fancier inside the Versace mansion. Totally recommend it!
This is great idea and concept that could be executed way better. There were 6 stools at our counter and we arrived a little late.
The tasting was supposed to take an hour but we were done in 20 mins including drinks !! Not sure what the rush was... the food was great , the overall execution and experience was too rushed !! We paid only $50 pp but it was increasing to $75 the next day which is sooo overpriced
Favorite experience - New York City or Miami. Thank you.!
Beautiful setting and incredible sushi. Very expensive, but this is a truly special experience.
Great experience. Knowledgeable chef and server. Would definitely return. The quality is very high and also the location is quite unique. Everyone was very welcoming. Thanks to the whole team.
A real disappointing experience. Let me start by saying the sushi is of high quality. The issue is that each dinner reservation is allotted 60 minutes, yes one hour from start to finish. There are 6 seatings starting at 5:30 to 11:30 and everything is designed around meeting this schedule.
This would be perhaps acceptable if this is explained to the diners when the reservation is made but it is totally unacceptable when at the 60 minute mark diners who ordered a bottle of sake and dessert are ushered to the waiting lounge (where there are no available seats) and are advised to finish their meal there.
This is the epitome of fast food, no time to talk to the chef even though you are seated at the bar in front of him and no explanation of the sushi being presented, just production line sushi at breakneck speed resulting in a very unsatisfactory experience
This was the most amazing Omakase experience I ever had and the Sushi was spectacular!!
The ambiance and decor was extremely cool.
This is a must do experience and I will be back
A lot of employees, but very disorganized. Menu online includes a sushi roll that was not delivered. When inquire about it, I was told that was on last months menu. They should update what they advertise.
Top to bottom excellent sushi and killer experience.
This place is awesome. This is some of the best sushi in Miami and the service is great. My only complaint is I wish they had a bigger drink menu/list.
Highly recommend a visit to the Sushi Suite at the former Versace Mansion. Both venue and the quality of the sushi were suburb. Not to mention the outstanding hospitality and service one would expect from such an exceptional experience.
Ok but not what it is hyped to be. The process of waiting to be seated is very strange. You are basically in a holding pen/bar. Shush Is average at best. Good but not great.
Went for the 12 course omakase and had a great experience. The pacing was good, fish was fresh, and each piece was well composed. The chefs were engaging and very friendly and made for an enjoyable experience.
Excellent. It is all about the experience: great sushi, friendly staff and the mansion.
It was fun, service with drinks could of been better, great overall experience; food definitely made up for it
The ambiance was beautiful, the service attentive and the food was delicious.
I highly recommend
Authentic omakase in the upper levels of the Versace mansion in Miami Beach. Must make a reservation and highly recommend checking in 45 minutes to 1 hour early to have a drink or two in the cigar lounge.
Let me first say that I have been to this Sushi by Bou location a few times now because of the quality of the food and service. Fresh fish is flown in regularly (in some cases daily) from all corners of the globe and prepared by a staff of talented, entertaining sushi chefs and accompanied by 90’s hip hop mixtapes. And all amidst the beauty and restored decor of Versace’s mansion in Miami Beach.
The first time I went it was for the full 18-course omakase for a double date. It was my first omakase experience and left me completely speechless.
Recently, Miami New Times magazine announced a promotional 12-course tasting for a fraction of the price. My husband and I took advantage and were once again blown away by the food, the music, and how cool the chefs were to talk to. (We love talking to Jordan!!)
We decided to share our love of the sushi suite for a third time with some friends visiting from the northeast. Although we were all more than satisfied with our experience, my husband and I did notice that the pièce de rèsistance, offering us a hand roll as our final course, was no longer an available option. I understand that the price is reduced and that the special has been running for some time but I wish they’d have mentioned somewhere about the hand roll no longer being offered.
Regardless of this detail, our sushi chef, Jordan, Sara, and [almost positive his name is Victor or Vincent], once again made this a trip worth taking. Not to mention this sushi is unbelievable!
Too expensive and too rushed the dinner experience.
Great venue and experience!!! Be sure to go upstairs before you leave to see the observatory.
Delicious, melt in your mouth sushi, served one piece at a time. The chefs are awesome! Each dinner sitting is for up to 8. Tried the lyechee martini and it was excellent.
The ambiance is amazing. The food is spectacular! But there are small portions- you may leave hungry, but certainly you will leave impressed. Exploring the mansion is half of the fun!
Sushi was of excellent quality, expensive. $50/person for 12 pieces of sushi and tiny glass of sake plus two drinks ended up being $180. 22% gratuity was ridiculous for service provided. Mansion is beautiful though
AMAZING. Best sushi experience that I have had to date. Absolutely perfectly done. Highly recommend!
Incredible food, lackadaisical service. Nothing was timed right and there was no apparent reason for the staff to be so overwhelmed. With only 8 people to serve and time to set up there was just a general lack of competence. The food is worth coming back for but hoping they fix the service issue.
It's a great sushi tasting. The mansion is amazing, nice view at the balcony and very cozy ambiance. Do not expect to get a feast or big meal, its more about the experience. Prices are expensive but equivalent to what you are receiving. The chef was very amicable.
When you first walk in, it is a little confusing as the restaurant is on the upper level, but once you get into the sushi restaurant area, it is quaint, quiet and the view from the balcony of Collins Avenue is amazing. Once you are escorted in for dinner, you will be delighted with the 12 course dinner. All of the selections were delicious. I especially liked the Sea Urchant. The chef Jordan and the Sou chef were a delight. Very personable and made the night even more interesting. I definitely would recommend this place to all of my friends and family.
I highly recommend this place. It was a great experience
Even if you just go in order to see the amazing space it’s worth it! The fish was very fresh and well done.
I booked this through the Miami New times special that was supposed to be $50 per person.
When I received the check I was charged $172.30. I asked why was I being charged this amount and the young lady that was helping me was clueless. She then went to speak to the manager who told her that the amount was $65 per person with tax and tip. That explanation still did not make sense to me since $65 per person should have been $130. I also thought that the $65 all inclusive price is their normal rate for the 12 course. I am still waiting for someone from Sushi by Bou to get back to me regarding this matter.
Best sushi experience of my life
The experience was amazing. The chefs, Jordan and Sumi were absolutely spectacular and the waitress Jasmine was so sweet and charming. The food is A1 and the ambience makes it even better. Can’t wait to come back and dine here. Hope i get the same crew!
great food, wonderful staff, however clearly not worth the price...This is very overpriced for what you get...We actually went for a slice of pizza afterwards as we were hungry....
Absolutely fantastic, food and service. The atmosphere was like something out of a movie.
It was a great experience! Omakase was fresh and very personal.
One of a kind experience! Five star service, awesome owner Bill, thank you for welcoming us! Definitely the spot for a special evening! Can't wait to go again!
We found last minute reservations for a fantastic late night dinner. The staff was so welcoming and accommodating. Fresh, delicious sushi and the seating allows for you to make new friends, if you’re into that.
