This is our third time back at Sushi Suite which has quickly become our #1 spot for omakase in Chicago. We brought our friends who are visiting from Orange County and they said it was the best meal of their life — and we have all eaten at Kyoten, Mako, Yumi, etc.
The chef, bartender and host rock too. They are so friendly and fun. It is impossible not to have an incredible time while here. In fact, while we were still at Sushi Suite we were looking for reservations for our NEXT visit. We can’t wait to come back. Sushi Suite is one of a kind, and effing delicious.
The whole team was fantastic. Great variety of fish. Wonderful flavors. Jordan and the SS suite exceeded our expectationsn
Great experience for a celebration or special occasion. Definitely pricey but worth it IMO
Fantastic Sushi Experience! Chef Jordan is the man!
The sushi was top notch and absolutely delicious. I was underwhelmed by the service for such a nice dinner and the lack of organization and communication. I also find the sliding scale of cocktail and dessert pricing shady. I’d rather have a cocktail menu and know what cocktail I’m getting and how much it will cost. $77 for 2 cocktails and a scoop of ice cream is pretty ridiculous and I’m not against spending more than I should on a good meal
It’s rare that a place hits perfection for the entire experience. Some people go to restaurants for the food and then hyper analyze one food quality vs. another. After going out to fancy high end restaurants for 10+ years, there are only a few places that are a big wow for the food for me. Could I be basic and simple and like high flavor and have a simpler pallet? Maybe. Do I still pair a Bordeaux with most of my meals because I love it - absolutely. Have a walked away from $500+ dinners and gone “meh” - absolutely.
Now bring in Sushi 202. It’s an experience thats actually fun and energetic rather than “art”. The secretive location makes for a fun date that is a true surprise for Chicago. 4 staff for a total of 12 people inside ensures you don’t even have to think before getting exactly what you want. The mixologist greets you with a great cocktail flight; it’s seamless. Why is this all important? So you can focus on your date or significant other without staring down at your phone for a menu, hold up your hand waiting for the server, or wondering if you “ordered well” at any moment.
All the details done for you. It’s built in shifts which is fantastic. 4 people come into the first bar and are served drinks. You chat, relax and look around. After that, you shift over (all 4 at once) to the sushi chef counter and eat a great Omakase and chat with chef. Each time a new piece of sushi is gone from your plate, its wiped down for the next. Clean reset each time - perfect.
Once done, you 4 go sit at the lounge area and have the night cap and digest. Nothing is pressured, just right. Once done, you leave with a perfect memory of the night and you spent it all in a great atmosphere with your date focusing on them and not any distraction. Money well spent.
Can't say enough good things about this experience. Highly, highly recommended.
If you’re a fan of Sushi I highly recommend this intimate setting. Marco tantalized the pallet soon after we walked in....
We have been to many of the Michelin omakase spots in the city, and Kyoten, and Sushi Suite beats them all by FAR. The food / menu is inventive, always changing, and tastes amazing. For example this last time we went, we had homemade uni ice cream. On top of the AMAZING food, the chef treats you like family, as does the hostess and bartender. When friends and family come to town, this is where you take them to show them everything great about Chicago, it’s food, and hospitality. We are SO glad we found this gem of a restaurant and we will keep going as long as it’s here.
Sushi suite is so fantastic. From the food to the service to the overall experience. Mwah! *chefs kiss*
From the moment we were greeted at the suite to the final “goodbye” the experience was absolutely top rated. The nigiri was no doubt off the charts but the service by the staff really made the experience out of this world!
We will be back if not for the great mezcal drinks!!!!
It's a must try if you haven't experience omakase.
Food and drinks were fantastic, everything was perfect. No reason to do omakase anywhere else.
Best meal in Chicago!
Fresh fish, great cocktails, extreme attention to detail, clean.
First timers when we went and we were blown away. Everything from the fish itself to the service and the drinks. Highly recommend and will definitely be back.
Very intimate, great food and fun time! Awesome drinks
The whole experience was very personal. Omakase is fantastic (I had high expectation). The drinks that Marco made are spectacular.
Chef Jordan was an amazing host. The hotel suite was such an intimate setting and the food was outstanding. I honestly hadn’t ever done omakase and this blew me away. Wonderful staff. Saki pairings were expertly done. Everything was impeccable. Will be returning.
Amazing time. Very cool concept. Jordan and Marco were great!
I had high expectation for Sushi Suite; being a unique and premier dinner spot..and they far exceeded my expectations. From the first step inside it was inviting and enjoyable. From the first cocktail to the last. The sushi was hands down the best I’ve ever had and the care and expertise that went into tailoring each was amazing. I suggest you try this place at least once and you be the judge.
It was amazing, the staff and food were all so good !
All good sushi unique fish felt a bit rushed
Dinner was absolutely perfect. Best omakase in the city! Chef Jordan sources local ingredients and also grows some of his own. You can tell how much care and effort he puts into creating wonderful food. The space/vibe is so unique. It was just us and another couple, which made it such a personal experience. Chef Jordan and bartender Marco took time to get to know us and answer all of our questions. Definitely will be coming back!
Incredible. Going again.
Staff extremely personable. Chef very informative and excited for us to enjoy the food. Drinks were on par. Location of the suite is perfect and cozy at the Lincoln Hotel.
What an experience
Best sushi omakase in Chicago. Sushi suite is such a fun and delicious restaurant. Cocktails are excellent and the cuts of fish are premium. Can’t wait to go back.
I could not recommend this experience more. We went for my fiancé’s birthday and it was truly the best culinary experience I have had. Not only was this the best sushi I have ever had, but the chef, Jordan, was a plethora of knowledge about sushi, fish, and food in general. We loved getting to sit at the bar, watch him work, and treat both our taste buds and our sense of curiosity about the science of sushi. If you are planning a great night out or celebrating a special occasion, look no further.
I don’t think words can do justice to the food, or the experience here. We had a reservation for 4 and all of us are planning the day that we can come back already.
Not worth the money. Didn’t feel like 17 pieces and the quality of the fish were not superior. Chef was entertaining and fun though.
The food was outstanding. Because of covid I was hoping based on other reviews that we would be the only guests in there, but there is seating for four so another couple dined with us at the same time. There really wasn't room to be six feet away while we were eating, but they took our temperature before letting us in, so I'm hoping for the best. I stopped worrying about it after getting a taste of the excellent cocktail and forgot about it after the first bite of food. So so good. The only other comment is that the drinks are pricey, I wasn't sure what to expect, but after two cocktails and a sake flight the drink bill was impressive.
Vibes yo, Vibes. This is the spot. From the speakeasy entrance thru the Hotel Lincoln and being greeted by the sultry French maitre d, to the custom cocktails made with skill and passion, to the incredible omakase experience by the amazing chef Jordan. I love it here. Loved it so much I kept coming back! This is a must go to experience. I am a self proclaimed sushi snob and I don’t know how chef Jordan does it, but he captures local iconic Chicago flavors and somehow infuses it into his omakase. He has got to be one of the most talented /passionate/ dopest sushi chefs I have ever met. He drops sushi knowledge while explaining his dishes and makes it an unforgettable experience. Add the drinks and it’s straight magic hour! It’s a must go stop for me every time I’m back in Chicago!
Fantastic experience. Very cozy environment, incredible service, very unique experience and the food was excellent!!
This was a wonderful birthday experience. I'm sure it was due to the 'rona, but for our reservation time we had the sushi chef to ourselves. It was super intimate and absolutely delicious. I'm might not wait for my birthday to come back again.
Had the best dinner at sushi suite 202. I went with my boyfriend for our anniversary and had the best time. Sushi was great and we tried the sake flight which was delicious. I normally don’t drink sake but I’m glad we got the flight. Both the chef and the bartender were great and were easy to talk to.
Very good experience. Only a few people at a time so incredible service. The sushi was amazing and all very fresh. The drinks were delicious. The staff were great and very attentive. Would definitely recommend.
We had an incredible experience! The food, staff and ambiance was amazing, thank you Sushi Suite for a wonderful night!
This was such a cool experience that I was glad I was able to try before the lockdown happened all over again. I keep raving about this spot because how often do you get to eat omakase inside a hotel room suite in the middle of Chicago?! The venue is definitely unique and it was complimented by the awesome staff that made sure our experience was one to remember. The sushi was expertly prepared and had some unique pairings as far as flavors go. We also did the sake tasting which was also very enjoyable. Now that everything is opening back up, I definitely will need to bring some friends here and make a night of it!
