About Sushi Sasa
Sushi Sasa is designed to offer Denver the opportunity to enjoy Traditional and "New Style" Japanese cuisine harmoniously beneath one roof. The seasonal, healthy, beautiful and affordable tasting menu compliments the fully functioning sushi bar bridging the gap between East coast innovation and West coast charm. Bilingual chefs man the sushi bar at the rear of the zen-like space and offer up exotic fish and produce from around the world with the heart of the cuisine remaining Japanese. With a wonderful sake and wine list and a cozy downstairs lounge, Sushi Sasa is a perfect place for a business lunch or a nice dinner with friends.

Sushi Sasa Ratings and Reviews
Service was just really slow. Was seated 30 min after reservation. Server seemed stressed out. Food was was still great. I understand it was Valentines Day and this isn’t the typical service you get at Sushi Sasa. In the future I will stick to lunch or a random dinner on a Tuesday night.
Food was incredible as ever. Love letting the chefs pick and choose what we get each time we go. Never been disappointed with one exception. Last night my Open Table request included NO sweet shrimp or sea Urchin. We got both. Mess up by not reading my note to the restaurant.
The service was terrible but the food was amazing. I went here for my birthday dinner with some friends. I put in the reservation notes that it was a birthday dinner. When we arrived I waited for the hostess she took a bit then asked me for my name once she got my name she proceeded to seat two other large parties that arrived After us before seating us (we were only 5 mins early for our reservation) we were then finally sat about 10 minutes after our reservstion time (the table they sat us at was free the whole time she just didn't take us to it) then once we were finally seated it took about 45 minutes after ordering to get our food. We often had empty water glasses which took a while to fill up. Once we finally got our food the food was amazing!!! But for a $200 meal the service was extremely disappointing.
The sushi is fresh, delicious, and beautifully presented. But, you pay for it--among the most expensive sushi in town. The tempura is dense, oily, heavy on starchy veg (potato, squash), and the shrimp miniscule.
The sushi bar is at the back of the restaurant and the tables in the front room are packed closely together, so be prepared to hear every bit of your neighbor's (often boisterous) conversations, as you compete to converse with your own companions. The service is pleasant, but we had to wait a long time to get an unclean plate replaced; same with two dirty glasses.
Valet parking is free--a nice service for this crowded area, even on a Thursday evening.
This is my favorite Sushi restaurant in Denver and this trip did not disappoint. Place is pretty happening even for a mid-week lunch. Not many people when we arrived at noon but the place had no available seats (in the main room) by the time we left around 1pm. I highly recommend that one makes a reservation.
Great Service and Food but I would prob go to Isakaya from now on. When I made a reservation for 2 i was hoping it was a table and I was surprised when hostess walked us to the sushi bar. I would have like to know that i was being seated there as oppose to a table.
Service is impeccable. Food is undeniably fresh and presentation never disappoints. The garlic lemon edamame is outrageously good.
The decor is a bit sterile and plain, but that makes your food pop even more. Still very clean and nice, just not inviting and comfortable nor anything to rave about looks-wise.
