Wonderful place for two friends to meet in the middle with location. Food and service were excellent.
Sasa delivered as usual, superb even with the price increase.
Some of the best sushi in Denver! The basics like spicy salmon are great but we really like the YJC and Diablo specialty rolls!
Bidders had no idea when to bring water and repeatedly tried to take full plates and drinks. Food took over 75 minutes for first dish to arrive. They were short staffed and no apologies were made.
This place has been a family favorite for many years and it is always outstanding every time we make the drive to eat some good sushi. Highkey recommend.
Food and service is good but there is definitely better sushi in the city. I would not go here twice and some of the people that dine here are obtrusive.
hands down the best susuhi in denver. we went with the omakase which is $125/ per person, but it didn't disappoint. the chef and staff here really know their stuff. highly recommend. my only complaint is the white and sparkling wine list is a bit short. great sake selection though.
Yet another amazing meal at one of our favorite restaurants! We have never had a single thing that we didn't think was beyond good.
Food amazing! We were hustled out in less than an hour in a way that felt very rushed.
Absolutely best sushi in Denver, maybe in all the continental US and I travel for business every week! Outstanding “New Style” sashimi!
We have been to several other sushi restaurants in Denver and Sushi Sasa was the best. So fresh and delicious! The staff was great as well.
Great food. Great cocktails. Great service. If you go, you absolutely have to get the Diablo roll!
Lovely experience. I recommend getting a seat at the sushi bar with Eiji or Michael
It was our first time here and we really enjoyed the experience. The service was great, the ambiance was nice and the food was wonderful! We wanted to try a variety of things, so we ordered several small plates as well as sushi. The fried chicken, the ribs and the mussels were all fantastic in their own way- not fussy or over complicated. The sushi was the highlight for me. Fresh and well prepared. We will definitely be back!
Food, service and location were all great. Still a bit on the pricey side.
Sushi Sasa is consistently excellent. The sushi is artfully prepared. Great menu choices and usually some specials that are worth trying. The A-5 was incredibly, although I like mine seared a bit more. Nice saki selection. Great meal.
The sushi was amazing but the service was not great. We didn’t receive half of our sushi order and it took forever to order 2 drinks during our meal. We asked the server more than twice where the rest of our order was and she just kept telling us it was coming. By the time we finished the sushi we did receive and ordered another drink we didn’t want the rest of the order so when we told our server to cancel it, she said it must not have gotten put in anyways. It was my birthday and I don’t live in Denver so we went there as a special occasion because we had heard the food was amazing. It wasn’t the greatest way to spend my birthday :/
fresh, quality food with great service and a cozy ambiance. We'll be back for sure.
Great dinner, great service, great feeling in every way.
We had never had a Japanese brunch before so decided to try it. While there is no special brunch menu, you can order off of the lunch menu (Lower prices than dinner.) and the food was very good. Our waiter was outstanding---friendly, knowledgeable and efficient. Sake and wine available but no cocktails because no bartender for brunch.
One of my favorite sushi restaurants in Denver. The service was unfortunately not good this time though. Sloooooow service and our waitress was not in a great mood.
Always love it
The sushi was unique and everything was incredible. The best sushi in Colorado. The location is quiet with incredible, upscale service, incredible cocktails and easy parking.
Having long gotten over the idea of premium sushi in a land-locked state, Sushi Sasa shines in the way that a "real" sushi restaurant shines best: in the simple fish. Although we did order a couple of very good rolls (Pink Lady, and caterpillar was really exceptional), the Sasa Trio appetizer was one of the best we've ever had anywhere, and the unagi was transcendent.
We were definitely disappointed with this meal, considering we've celebrated special occasions in the past. The redeeming qualities were service and good sashimi. Everything else was bland and, sorry to say, boring.
Amazing!! Will be back soon!!
Always excellent! We like to sit at the sushi counter and chat with the chefs and watch the rolls being prepared. Such an art! Food is always very tasty, fresh and creative. Service is outstanding. I highly recommend SUSHI SASA if you're craving sushi in Denver!
Ridiculously slow service. Waiter no where to be found. Bar is in basement so it takes forever to get drinks. No one came and apologized or dealt with us considering our experience was so bad. Sashimi is fantastic.
Great food and service. Sasa has great fish and tremendous specials and unique dishes.
The Moriwasi lunch is delicious and a great value. Service was excellent. Our favorite sushi place in Denver!
My favorite sushi restaurant in Denver.
My family loves this restaurant, best sushi in Denver! It is expensive, but worth every penny. The sushi is creative and they incorporate ingredients I've never seen in sushi and raw fish dishes. Favorite dishes are the hawaiian hamachi poke and the strawberry short cake roll. They also have our favorite rose, Whispering Angel. This place is a MUST TRY!
We, normally, very much enjoy our experience here. The service was incredibly poor this time around and the food seemed a bit lower in quality. Hoping it’s just a “bad night” and nothing more.
First I'd like to say our waitress was superb, especially in explaining the intricacies of their many sake varieties. She was attentive but not pushy, classically beautiful (think Japanese Geisha), with a good sense of humor, and juggled her many tables and the sushi counter with ease. Second, the sushi was incredible and the hype I had read before about Sasa was totally justified. The smoked trout roll was one of the highlights and Pink Lady was quite good too. The ambiance is perfect as well - a small, intimate dining room, where everything just feels fun and comfortable. While we all have things we nit pick about, there was nothing I could find negative about my experience. So I will be returning - often, hopefully, and hope to try everything on the menu. Arigatou gozaimasu!
It was ok. Not worth the money. Reserved a seat at the sushi bar and the restaurant made us wait 25 minutes even though there were four open seats sitting there. She told us they were for VIP investors who did not arrive until well after we are seated. They need to get their talk track down. Better value and experience at Sushi Den. We will not be back.
Helpful staff! Good food! We will eat here again when back in Denver.
Overall, the food and the service at Sushi Sasa were solid. However, I believe you can get better quality, atmosphere, and creativity at other sushi restaurants in Denver.
Very loud in there and food was a bit salty.
We love Sushi Sasa and go at least once a month. The tuna tartare appetizer is "craveable"! Jane is our favorite waitress and takes great care of us. We truly love the food and the experience. We are always greeted like they truly care that we are there:)
