Prince Edward Island, garlic, ginger, dashi, shiso baguette
We sat downstairs for happy hour and our server Mike was great. The appetizers were good but the sushi quality was just okay. I used to work for Sushi Den and I just can’t find anything better than what they have. We used our OpenTable reward here. We order takeout sometimes for rolls and will probably stick to those instead of sashimi/nigiri if we come back. The seared scallops and salmon didn’t seem very fresh. Also, the music kept going in and out and loud and quiet so that was kind of strange.
Not the same without Wayne there cracking the whip
Large party with children running around screaming. As I explained to the waiter, it was like trying to enjoy great sushi at a Chuck E Cheese. I wouldn’t do this again for free, let alone at almost $100 per person. No one did anything to resolve this issue at all. Plenty of great sushi alternatives in Denver. We won’t be back.
Our waiter was so knowledge about the menu and everything he recommend was fantastic. Which is good becuase we were a bunch of "sushi newbies". The sticky bun appetizers were out of this world. Highly recommend, cute spot, great food, not too busy, helpful. If I could, I would give it 6 stars!
Sushi Sasa was a beautiful restaurant with high quality food & service! I am grateful for the experience.
Best sushi in Denver ( I have tried others). Sit at the sushi bar and let the talented chefs get creative!!
always fun, parking, interesting drinks and beers not offered other places and the pork belly bar buns are to die for!
Boring, uninspired, and overpriced. Bad service and bad smell to boot.
Super nice place, food, service and prices .
Sasaki is a high end sushi house..best in the lodo area. Service was top notch..nigiri all 5 star....
Our server was excellent, but she had far too many tables to attend to alone. It was more expensive then some other decent sushi spots, so the experience could’ve been better. I would recommend lower prices on some items.
Great fresh sushi and nice quiet early evening dinner.
Good food and service
Always amazing sushi. Brought my husband and father in law here for dinner on Thursday night after a day of skiing. Quick service and quality sushi. The pink lady and hamachi jalapeño were our favorites.
As always the best sushi lunch downtown. Superior fish great presentation wonderful service.
It’s a must stop for us every time we travel to Denver. Sushi and staff are both outstanding!
We made a reservation for 6:45 but weren’t seated until 7:10. The Service was below average but the food and ambiance was so extraordinary that they made up for the wait and service.
We have not been to Sushi Sasa in a while and it was great as always. I wish I would had room for more food!
Sushi was great and so was the service!
Getting food out of the kitchen was a little slow, but nothing extraordinary.
Definitely get the pink lady roll!
Also the $5K toilets were kind of funky
Only issue was parking, tight lot. Good food service !
The drinks and food where great! I love a good cocktail and the match martini was pretty great. Our dinner and apps where also really good. It is on the pricier side compared to other sushi spots in Denver but it was pretty delicious.
The only complaint is we made a reservation for 9pm. We arrived at 8:52pm and checked in. We were told we should be seated soon and in the meantime we are welcome to enjoy a cocktail in the downstairs bar and when our sushi bar seats were ready they would come get us... from the bar area downstairs. 15 minutes when by... 25 minutes went by... then at 35 minutes I was pretty frustrated. I walked upstairs and asked the hostess if the wait was typical after making a reservation. She had said not always but they can't force a party to release their seats (which I agree with but here's the kicker) ... she then asked my name again and realized THEY had made a mistake and gave our seats to another couple. I was pretty calm honestly.. just really hungry. My wife and I asked if we could just be seated anywhere at that point and they accommodated. The crazy thing though... no one actually ever apologized for the mistake... they just said "this happens sometimes". Once we got over what had just happened we enjoyed our dinner and our waitress was great.
Super slow bad service. Food took 45 minutes. Server was not communicative at all. Very disappointing Valentine’s Day.
THE FOOD WAS ONE OF THE BEST JAPANESE FOOD I HAVE EVERY HAD. THE WAYGU TARTARE WAS SUBTEL AND DELICIOUS. THE WINE LIST IS EXPENSIVE AND RATHER POOR. ALL IN ALL THIS WAS AN EXCELLENT DINNER.
Fun Valentine’s Day dinner! Super fresh fish.
Excellent service and the staff made us feel special.
It's very hard to find a quality sushi place that is open during the day. Today, our luck changed. The food was terrific.
They even brought us champagne for our anniversary. It was a wonderful first experience there.
This is the best sushi spot in Denver!
The food was fantastic at this restaurant! It is very new and modern! The grilled artichoke was delicious as an appetizer and for the sushi, the diablo roll was one of the best sushi rolls I have ever had!! Great place to celebrate something special!
The food is always amazing but on this particular trip, the service was very slow and not terribly attentive. We were a bit surprised.
The place was packed but our server was nice, patient, and we got our food and drinks in good time! Found my new favorite, Sparkling Sake!
Quiet, lovely setting. Sushi at all price levels. Very delicious!
Very nice atmosphere. Was nice and quiet which made the meal that much more enjoyable. Chefs were excellent and the prepared food was top notch. My wife and I really enjoyed Sushi Sasa and will definitely be returning for future visits!
Started off well, then the service dissipated. Never had the opportunity to order another drink, waited for quite a bit for server to check back & I quite about dessert.
This is a special place for sushi. Maybe one of the best in the US. Worth the slight premium in pricing.
Good date spot. Service on point. Excellent food.
Food took forever to arrive. might have been behind a few big tables but then please have waitstaff let the dinner know what is going on. 30 min to get a bowl of miso followed by 45 min to get sushi is really long.
This was our 3rd time dining at Sushi Sasa. It is our favorite restaurant in Denver. We always sit at the sushi bar because we love to see these chefs do you all of their magic and my husband has weird allergies to many sushi ingredients.
The Service from all of the staff is top notch and their food is the best. On the latest visit, we were celebrating our anniversary and they brought us each a beautiful glass of champagne. I love this place.
