Quiet, lovely setting. Sushi at all price levels. Very delicious!
Very nice atmosphere. Was nice and quiet which made the meal that much more enjoyable. Chefs were excellent and the prepared food was top notch. My wife and I really enjoyed Sushi Sasa and will definitely be returning for future visits!
Started off well, then the service dissipated. Never had the opportunity to order another drink, waited for quite a bit for server to check back & I quite about dessert.
This is a special place for sushi. Maybe one of the best in the US. Worth the slight premium in pricing.
Good date spot. Service on point. Excellent food.
Food took forever to arrive. might have been behind a few big tables but then please have waitstaff let the dinner know what is going on. 30 min to get a bowl of miso followed by 45 min to get sushi is really long.
This was our 3rd time dining at Sushi Sasa. It is our favorite restaurant in Denver. We always sit at the sushi bar because we love to see these chefs do you all of their magic and my husband has weird allergies to many sushi ingredients.
The Service from all of the staff is top notch and their food is the best. On the latest visit, we were celebrating our anniversary and they brought us each a beautiful glass of champagne. I love this place.
Been there many times and always wonderful- great sushi, lovely ambience professional and courteous staff- highly recommend-
The atmosphere was wonderful and the food was amazing!
Sushi Sasa is one our favorite places to go in Denver. On this visit the selection of fish was outstanding and the quality equally excellent. However, our service was very unsatisfactory which diminished the overall experience for us. We told our server what we were starting with but she never came back to take the rest of our order. We also ran out of sake and again, she was no where to be found to re-order some. The restaurant was not packed by any stretch. Disappointing but we will return for the great fish.
For the past 3 years we have dined at Sushi Sasa for my daughter’s birthday celebration. The first year we were seated in the main dining area, had great food and service. Last year, they put us in a private room lacking ambience had mediocre service & fine food. This year they had us in the over-flow dining room which was vacant except for us. The main dining room had only a handful of diners when we arrived at 5:30 and around 10 when we left. The room we were seated in was very quiet and lacked ambience. Our server changed halfway through our meal and both servers were disappointing. The restaurant had run out of two kinds of fish that we had ordered. One of the two had been specifically recommended by our server. The kids soda had to be sent back because the syrup was missing. And finally, two of the desserts on the menu were not available either. It was a disappointing experience in nearly every way. We will not be returning.
The last 2 times we've eaten there the service was well below the experiences we had the first 2-3 times we ate there.
Modern Sushi. It felt like NY/LA high standard. Felt like the only restaurant in Denver that didn’t have sports game tv playing and that was refreshing
Best sushi in Denver, skip the “hype” sushi restaurants!
Let the talented chefs create for you. Never disappointed.
Good food, quit, a little bit on the expansive side for food that can be found in a hole in the wall place
We arrived right as they opened and were seated right away. However, it took over 10 minutes for wait staff to come to our table. The server was a little impenitent upon first meeting but warmed up as the meal progressed. Food was basic but good. I probably wouldn’t come here again....seemed overly pretentious.
Sushi Sasa is my absolute favorite Sushi restaurant ever! The tills are phenomenal! My favorites are the Diablo roll, Scottish Salmon roll and the YJC. The fish is always fresh and the service is top notch!
There were younger “kids” eating apps and drinking who were loud, obnoxious and swearing. We were there with our 12 year old daughter and didn’t appreciate that she had to listen to that
We heard Wayne is opening a new location ?
Hope it doesn’t compromise quality of 15th st!
My husband and I did a date night here and sat at the counter. We enjoyed the wagyu seared beef appetizer and several of the rolls. The diablo roll really is spicy and the pink lady and Scottish salmon rolls were delicious. They have a list of the fish flown in that day and we had the Japanese seabream. The rice was still warm and everything tasted fresh and delicious. It’s pricy for a reason but the service is excellent and the food is fantastic. Definitely a great place for a special occasion!
How can one restaurant be so unerringly perfect? Sushi Sasa has the answer to that question and delights on every single visit with each menu offering.
Always enjoy our meal at Sushi Sasa! Has become a family tradition for holidays!
We waaaay over-ordered. Good appetizers - the ribs are delicious and tender. The “dynamite seafood” was drowning in mayonnaise and the tiny shrimps tasted oddly overly fishy. Skip the salads - meh. Fresh but not exciting and not cravable, just barely ok. Sushi rolls are well-rolled and the rice is seasoned. They’re different and interesting and pretty. The fried rice is tasty.
Whenever we come to Denver we try always to have at least one dinner at Sushi Sasa. Everything is usually terrific, although I don't quite understand why the chef seems to like to use strawberries in a few of the dishes. Not my thing, but that doesn't stop me from enjoying it. I always enjoy a bottle of Otokoyama sake. We enjoyed everything, but I have to say that the yellowtail nigiri can't be beaten.
A beautiful modern space. The rolls are very creative and not laden with heavy dressings
Still very good, but not quite great. Food quality seems to have dropped slightly in recent years.
Although I have had great meals here, including some of the best Sushi in Town, My last visit was odd.
I sat at the Sushi er, ordered multiple non sushi items that tasted great. To include a Black Cod french style soup, Broiled PEI muscles, Steamed buns with Eggplant. I recommend all these items. They are great! The odd part was the service. We waited 20 minutes at the sushi bar watching the chefs prepare everything but our food. Then All the items came at once which is problematic on a narrow bar counter. At this pint the couple that sat down at the same time as us and ordered sushi were done with their meal and asking for the check. We shuffled our platters to awkwardly share dishes along a narrow 1 foot wide counter. Why the food came at one time was a mistake. One of the dishes Shishito peppers, came cold and wilted. We were eating them and then put them aside to put our soup in the middle. The server cleared them . We noticed later and they apologized, and brought some more within 2 minutes. Hot and delicious this time! If that could be done why then did we wait 20 minutes with no food at the beginning? The Pepper and the soup dish could easily have been served first and second. Lastly after completing our foods off the menu, we waited another 6-8 minutes with nothing and then our Sushi arrived. The timing was horribly off and that ruined the meal. Not sure how a restaurant this good can not manage the timing better. I will come back again, because the food is that good, but if the dining experience is as poor as the other night we are done.
The service was great. Calm and nice atmosphere. The rolls are fresh and have the perfect flavor. Not enough wasabi served with the rolls. The chardonnay was bitter. Wide variety of rolls with all sorts of flavors. Very nice wait staff with friendly service.
Our waiter was wonderful, as well as all other staff members who brought food & drinks to our table. Busser cleared our table consistently & filled our water glasses throughout our meal. Food was fast and delicious. Only issue was the noise level and the booth we were sat in only allowed us to speak to whomever was directly next to us but I could not hear anyone across the table from me. Otherwise it was a great experience!
Great Birthday celebration! Excellent food and service... as usual!
Excellent quality sushi. Broad menu. First time, not the last.
I've been to Sushi Sasa a few dozen times over the years and I've never had such bad service. Our server barely made time for us and our sushi took 90 minutes to come out and was missing 2 of our orders. We had to ask them to take them off of the bill. We expressed our concern about 2/3's into the time spent there and nothing changed. Not sure I'll be back.
Wonderful place for two friends to meet in the middle with location. Food and service were excellent.
Sasa delivered as usual, superb even with the price increase.
Some of the best sushi in Denver! The basics like spicy salmon are great but we really like the YJC and Diablo specialty rolls!
Bidders had no idea when to bring water and repeatedly tried to take full plates and drinks. Food took over 75 minutes for first dish to arrive. They were short staffed and no apologies were made.
This place has been a family favorite for many years and it is always outstanding every time we make the drive to eat some good sushi. Highkey recommend.
Food and service is good but there is definitely better sushi in the city. I would not go here twice and some of the people that dine here are obtrusive.
hands down the best susuhi in denver. we went with the omakase which is $125/ per person, but it didn't disappoint. the chef and staff here really know their stuff. highly recommend. my only complaint is the white and sparkling wine list is a bit short. great sake selection though.
