Ruth's Chris Steak House - Chicago
Lunch special is such a good deal!
First time at Sushi San. It was fabulous. Food was wonderful and inventive. The sushi was amazingly fresh. Our sever Johnny C. was excellent. He guided us through the menu and his suggestions were spot on. It is bustling and noisy, but this added to the ambiance. My husband and I were able to talk easily to each other. Will be back!
overall, it's a good place for friends to hand out and chat. super chill vibe. food is nice and price is affordable. I would recommend people to try it out. The miso salmon is really tasty and the japanese breakfast pancake is worth trying too.
Not as great as it's reviews. We paid almost $300 tax nd tip included. We could've eaten at a Michelin starred restaurant at that price.
Our server was amazing. The place is very alive. The sushi was very basic. The appetizers were unique and delicious, we loved the tako tacos and had the tempura eggplant. Drinks were good
This was our first time at Sushi-San, and we will definitely be back. Despite a packed house for Valentine’s and All-Star Weekend, our food came quickly and was delicious. The musical vibe of the restaurant is just the cherry on top of the whole experience.
We always enjoy our time at Sushi San - Sean always makes it fun with great recommendations and impeccable service! We’ll be back!
Amazing experience, will for sure be me and my girlfriend’s go to spot now for sushi. Can’t wait to be back!
Went to celebrate Valentine’s Day and was disappointed by our experience at Sushi-San. Our server started off friendly and was attentive to making sure our water glasses were full, but once we didn’t order drinks he visibly treated us differently after. The salmon asparagus roll had a off taste to it and left us feeling a little sick to our stomachs later that night. Would not recommend for a date night.
Great food and service!
Arrived on time for our table reservation but waited over 15 minutes to be seated. Not horrible but a little longer than I'd expect. The rest of the visit was great. Server was fantastic-great attitude, presentation of the menu and was there whenever we needed her but not overbearing. She addressed allergy concerns and was well versed in what we could/couldn't eat based on our allergies. Food was delivered promptly after ordering and was cooked/prepared to our specification. Can't wait to stop in next time I'm in the city. Great vibe during busy weekend nights and very loud but that didn't bother our family.
Food was so delicious! Drinks were very creative! Service was outstanding and gave great recommendations!
Never disappointed when trying new menu items, everything is good
Great sushi. The restaurant week menu had good value. Dishes came out in a timely manner and our waitress was knowledgeable and attentive.
The Lobster appetizer was outstanding, as was the Tako tacos and the Tempura Eggplant. We also tried the Asian Old Fashioned which was very tasty. The 2 rolls that we ordered were excellent as well.
Amazing food!! Get cauliflower, crab rice, lobster in starters and tacos
Food was good, service excellent - would recommend to anyone looking for good sushi in the city.
Wonderful, but smallish, selection of sushi and rice dishes. All are excellent executed. Better than average bar program (nice selection of Japanese whisky). I wish the menu was a bit more descriptive, but it’s a small gripe.
Food and service were excellent! Value was great. We ordered a variety of sushi rolls which we’re all good. The edamame was unique and delicious. Ambiance was alright. If I were on a Tinder date I might’ve found it top notch but I was on a date with my wife and the loud rap music wasn’t quite setting the romantic mood.
Sushi rolls are so good! The server and manager were so nice to us!
Incredible food, great service. They really knocked it out of the park. The eggplant appetizer is phenomenal, as was every piece of nigiri we had. Top knotch.
We're glad you enjoyed your experience with us! Thanks for reviewing us and we look forward to the next time you dine at Sushi-san.
Another amazing meal of high quality, fresh, well crafted, food.
Awesome food, service and atmosphere. We enjoyed our experience and would recommend this location to a friend.
We got started off on the wrong foot because we had to wait 15 minutes after our scheduled reservation. After complaining several times, our group was offered a free shot of sake. While nice, we would have been more appreciative of an on-time seating. Food and drinks were outstanding and would come again because of that though. Hopefully next time they can better manage their tables to keep reservations open/from having to wait.
They were so fabulous! Highly recommend for a special occasion, they go the extra mile.
They won't allow you to be seated unless your party is here. In my case, I was only waiting for one person, but I could understand that policy for groups of people. My sushi was edible, but not the best I've had. My friend, a vegetarian, didn't enjoy her food at all. Our waitress was wonderful, but the meh quality of the food was enough to not recommend it to anyone else.
Fun meal with friends. Sushi is absolutely amazing and the freshest i can find in Chicago
Restaurant Week. We were the oldest! I noticed most tables that I could see were not doing the Restaurant Week menu. Too bad for them, it was really good. I also enjoyed the hot tea.
This place is always fun and the food is always top notch! Great for date night, girls night, and celebrations!
Seating sucks. Manager did the menu spiel and low talker and ‘menu reader’. Our server was attentive and good. Food : ‘fresh’rolls and fish we very meh. NOT the freshest fish. Expect WAY more from LEYE. Rest of the food was fine. Overall functional and unremarkable
I like the music. Payment was hassle-free, as we were able to divvy up the bill with all our credit cards. I would return.
The food was very good. The portion sizes were small for the price in our opinion for the rice and beef dishes. The cocktails were excellent. Our service was informative but curt. Our bill for two people with drinks was about $70 before tip. Overall a nice experience but there are many other Japanese restaurants in Chicago that are more to our liking so might not return.
