Along with a menu of sushi, udon and soba bowls, Sushi Ronins full-service bar offers a variety of wines, cocktails and spirits. Most popular however are its sakes, Japanese beers and whiskeys. It is open daily for dinner with extended weekend hours. You can also stop by for its weekday Happy Hour specials to enjoy deals on drinks and small plates.
The food was great, it was a lot of fun to sit at the sushi bar.
Service at times was slow. Server was great but had too many tables.
Our meal was very good, but not excellent. Based on reviews I have read, I expected it to be the best sushi in Denver, which it was not. The service was excellent. It was not busy - it was an early dinner. The price was very high.
It was good/ok sushi dinner. It wasn't amazing or special, just ok on all aspects.
We're big fans of Sushi Sasa & Sushi Hai, but Sushi Ronin WOW'd us! We will definitely return!
This is really the best sushi in town, and I have been to most places in Denver. Peter is the most interesting and best server/bartender!!
Great meal! Great service
Definitely get the omakase! What an amazing experience, it’s a little pricey but worth the great food. The chef definitely knows what they’re doing and I will definitely be back!
We had amazing service with a great "how to" from our waiter. In that, we ended up with a delicious experience at Sushi Ronin. We will definitely be back.
Unfortunately I will not be eating here again. Had a reservation for 7pm, called and let them know we were running 5-10 minutes late. We were told no problem. Upon arrival the hostess was no where to be found and a waiter said someone would be with us shortly. As the hostess finally arrived to seat us she told us our seats had been given away because we were late. I explained that we had called and showed her the time on my cell phone, 7:10pm and asked why the table was given away again and she made no attempt to answer the question. Yes it was our fault we were running 6 minutes late but that certainly did not warrant our table being given away. The 1st impression left a bad taste in our mouths and due to the lack of customer service in the begging there are better places to spend a night out.
Food is always good, more for the seasoned sushi eater!
Yes, I would recommend this place for Sushi in Denver. Best service and delicious Sushi!
The neighborhood is hip and so is the place. We had a great time and will no doubt return soon.
Yes - but with reservations (not the kind that you do over the phone or on the app)
Sushi is very good - ambiance, not so much.
Way to crowded when the (very small) space is full. Kitchen and service needs to work on timing maincourse came out first then salad then appetizer....hmmm.
Great service and great food!
While the food was good, service was incredibly slow and about as non-attentive as you can get. Upon being seated we waited about 15 minutes until we were initially approached by a server and at the end of the meal waited 30 minutes for our bill to arrive. Throughout the meal our server did not once come to check on us and when we asked for some recommendations (the menu featured many exotic fish) we received no guidance and there was no conversation about our tastes or likes. We have been wanting to try this place for a while now and we could have gone to our local sushi restaurant, paid half the price for the same quality of food and would have had a much better experience. We will not be back and will tell our friends and family to avoid this restaurant as well.
Always more than happy when I go to Sushi Ronin! Been a customer since they opened, now traveling back from CA I’m still visiting. Highly recommend!
Was great all staff made it so enjoyable.
Best sushi in Denver! It's always amazing. Great service too.
The sushi was excellent and varied - we ordered the omakase. (As a part-time vegetarian it would’ve been nice to have one or two sushi that were vegetables interestingly prepared.)
We dined here about 3 years ago when last in Denver, and the quality has been sustained.
Having a few more white wine selections would be positive.
Last, our server was very personable, but slightly more attention throughout the dining experience would be better (little contact for first 15 minutes; had to wait over 5 minutes for beer and wine orders although servers were not very busy when we were there).
We were disappointed that the menu had changed. We were looking forward to order a variety of tempura in 2 piece orders.
Dope sushi dooooooooppe sushi dope sushi soooo doooope
Fish was fresh. excellent preparation. rainbow roll was divine. staff was great. like the server. she left u alone to dine. didn't hover. too many denver servers, hover.
I loved how I was able to tell the server what I liked and he just brought out dishes. My favorite role was the Ronin roll! Can’t wait to go back to try more!
The service was amazing. They accommodated our expanding party twice. The drinks were great. The sushi was just okay.
Everyone was incredibly friendly and helpful. We loved the atmosphere, as well! Perfect for our weekday date night.
The sushi was delicious, ambiance was great and the server took care of us very well.
We had some of the best sushi we've had in Denver here. I highly recommend the dinner sets or the omakase. Our server was super helpful, too. You can rely on them for excellent recommendations based on what you like.
Delicious meal, great atmosphere! Will be back.
The food is great, but some of the worst service I’ve experienced in Denver. We will never go back.
If you like sushi, eat here. Some of the best sushi I've had in the United States.
Excellent sushi and fantastic cocktails. Five star experience but for the service. I’ve never felt inclined to leave a critical review about service because we’ve all had bad days on the job, but our waiter was disengaged, almost dismissive, and it seemed to be triggered by either how much he thought we’d spend or how little he thought we understood about the food, given some questions my dinner companion asked. He was downright unhelpful and made little to no eye contact with us. This treatment did appear to be exclusive to our table, as he seemed warm and even animated with his other tables. I didn’t bring it up to my companion during the meal because I didn’t want to dwell on the negative, but he mentioned it as soon as we left the establishment, confirming my observations. Bad service can have a significantly negative effect on a dining experience, even when the food is stellar. So it was with my first experience at Sushi Ronan.
We’ve heard a lot of hype around Ronin when it first opened. I must say we were not disappointed. There is a lot of good sushi in Colorado, but the quality of the fish and the complex flavors while still keeping dishes simple blew us away. It really was some of best sushi we’ve had on the mainland. Highly recommend this to anyone looking for real sushi that doesn’t hide behind a lot of fluff and will knock your tastebuds off their feet.
Great food and great service! From traditional sushi and sashimi to more avante garde preparations, it’s one of our favorites in town.
The GM remembered us after not being there for over 6 months.
He made our time there warm welcoming . And the food was great as always.
Good sushi, not excellent but very good. Waiter was great. Good atmosphere.
Our experience here was alright. Service was good (knowledgable, friendly, helpful) and very fast, although we did come during the week at happy hour when the place was virtually empty. The sushi was just ok. Not the greatest sushi I've ever had by a long shot, and much more expensive than your mom and pop shop that you can rely on for quality (and for a good price) every time. Specialty roles were ok at best, and very overpriced. Simple roles were still a decent price and were not offensive but didn't taste particularly fresh or inspiring. Even a very simple role can be delicious at the right place with the right ingridients. Wouldn't really have a reason to come back based on our experience.
Everything we had was amazing and fresh!
While the sushi and drinks were pretty good, the service we got was not that great. The valet was overloaded and pretty much took my keys and ran, then we came in to the entrance by the valet which also happens to be the back of the restaurant from which you can't see the host stand. The bartender saw us standing there but didn't acknowledge our existence until we finally figured out where to go. Once we sat and ordered, our food came out very slowly for a relatively empty restaurant and the server was not very attentive as she never stopped by to see how the rolls were or see if we wanted to order another drink (we did). Additionally we ordered some edamame as an appetizer that never came, when we pointed it out to our server at the end (by this point we had finished the meal 1.5 hours later and just wanted to leave) she just said "Okay" and took the credit card to run it. While the sushi and food was pretty good I don't know that we would return due to the service.
