We were in for a late vday dinner, and we love sushi.
The appetizers were delicious, we ordered everything recommended. The beef rib eye that comes out wrapped around asparagus on a hot rock...to die for!
We also had the lobster roll, so delicious, we ordered a second.
The only down side is the waitress seemed to give a vibe that she had no interest in entertaining us or even speaking to us.
What a great dinner we had here. Freshest sushi imaginable. Definitely worth eating here. Be aware that you have to park in the W Hotel lot & they charge for that, but you can get your ticket validated to save a few bucks. Our server,Jennah, was OUTSTANDING. Ask for a table where she is serving. You will not regret it. Efficient, knowledgeable et cetera.
Valentine’s Day dinner
This sushi restaurant wow’d all 4 of us. From cocktails to blue crab w truffle oil appetizer king salmon sushi -all great and we’ll definitely return for more! Spacious booth for 4. Great service!
I’ve been to this restaurant many times at their Newport Beach, Phoenix and Las Vegas locations and always thoroughly enjoyed the experience. This was not the case when I dined at their Phoenix site last night. When checking in for our 2 people reservation, I asked if we might sit at a booth. The hostess, Olivia, told me the booths were saved for larger parties. Ok, no problem, if that was the case. After being seated, I noticed at least 2 booths with only 2 people. When those people finished, those booths were reseated with only 2 people again. I don’t know why the hostess lied to me, but it did not make me very happy. Our waitress was very nice. Unfortunately, we felt very rushed through our meal because they tried to bring all of our food at the same time. I had to send one dish back two different times, because there wasn’t even room for it on our table. After having dined at this restaurant numerous times in the past and having such awesome, positive experiences, I was very disappointed with my experience last night. I hope that this feedback may help improve their service back to the high level I’d experienced in the past.
We had a party of 8, the restaurant was very accommodating and took very good care of us. We opted for a menu based on Per Person spend and they brought out great features that filled us all up and were expertly designed & presented!
Just like I’m used to, Sushi Roku was excellent. Always professional and high quality.
Great food and company. Despite the place not being very full drink service took longer than usual.
Made a reservation, made note the occasion was a date and still waited an additional 15 min just for 2 of us. Also left a request for a booth and was given a table. Was sat next to a large group that were really loud and they were yelling, music was also loud. I had to yell at my date in order for us to talk. Food and service was great though.
They couldn’t find my original reservation thru OT so they sat us outside where it was cold. A lot of open seats inside. Apparently they were holding seats for 8 pm reservations. It was 6pm. We did get to sit inside after We were seated. They told us we had to leave by 8 for the next res. The manager was eventually helpful. The food was good but not sure I would go back anytime soon.
Expensive for what you get. Sushi no better than ARA Sushi but much more expensive
Not going to be going back for Sushi.
Friendly staff but the sushi itself was just ok. I would say it’s suited more for a night out rather than a romantic dinner.
The tuna tartare was superb and the service was excellent. Nicole is a very attentive server.
Service, ambiance & food was good! My husband and I stopped in for a sushi date on a Sunday Night. The portions of sushi were not as large as other places we have been, and cost twice as much as an average place like Ra would cost, but the sushi was all very yummy and we were not stuffed when we finished, but not left hungry either. We got the California, baked lobster, jalapeño and toro rolls. The Cali was good, pretty average like you would expect, and came in a batch of 6. Same with the jalapeño and toro; but the rice was a little sparse for my liking and seemed very thin and almost wet. It also was not spicy at all to me...but Still very scrumptious! The baked lobster came in an order of 5, and was our favorite! The Hollandaise sauce was excellent, and the lobster had a nice texture to it, not overly mushy like a lot of other places do. We got 1 cocktail and 1 soda and waters to drink. Overall I feel the price was a little high at $68 for what we ordered...It was a quieter night, with a few other couples in the dining area, but with a lot of tables open we thought it odd they sat another couple at a table right next to us; was a little cramped I felt. And also there was a lot of ruckus going on in the bar area due to some sports game going on a few people were yelling and cheering loudly so that kind of threw off the romantic style atmosphere the rest of the place has going. Overall good experience, we will be back to try the happy hour and maybe lunch specials, and overall dinner was nice but nothing overly spectacular that has me clamoring to to back .
Great service and awesome food. The ambiance was great for friends together or a date night.
