Great ! Really enjoyed it
We had a great time! Excellent sushi. Great variety and unique dishes. The service wasn’t as attentive as I’d expect for the price. It was very busy which might be why. Saturday night.
Waiter was awesome.
I found it to be expensive. $175 for two people, sushi and three drinks total.
Plats excellents mais restaurant beaucoup trop bruyant. Prix exagérés
Ate here for dinner with my son couple days ago. Very nice appearing restaurant with excellent waitstaff who are extremely attentive even when they seem to be training other individuals. Sushi was exceptional and extremely tasty. I also ordered one of their signature cold sake which was wonderful. My son also enjoyed all of the items we ordered.
Service was exceptionally fast even though the restaurant was packed and the two of us were done with our dinner within an hour.
The next time I come here with adults only, I will plan to take my time to sample their sake in addition to eating more sushi!
Great food. Really fast service. Will definitely be back!
This is still my favorite sushi place. The octopus crudo changed my life. It's my favorite thing I've ever eaten. The yuzu kosho really makes it. Of note: last time I was here it was late in the evening, and sat at the sushi bar. This is much more fun than eating there during the day. Sat in a more open room facing the street this time. Two parents dining with two young children at the table across from us unwrapped chopsticks, handed them to the kids, and let them use them as drumsticks the entire meal. Both parents stayed on their phones. They didn't stop the children and servers never suggested that they control them. It was horrible to have to sit with for an hour. I still love the food here, but sushi bar next time if there during daytime so I don't have to deal with the kids menu crowd. Sucks to eat a $190 early dinner to the tune of banging children. Shame on restaurant for not suggesting another diversion like crayons when parents couldn't do their job. If this happens again, will probably eat my appetizer then leave without anything else.
We liked the atmosphere but did not care for sushi. We ordered what our waitress so maybe we just have different tastes. The only thing we liked from our entire dinner was chocolate lava cake, really can't mess that up. The flaming cotton candy dessert was cool but tasted like cough syrup.
Food is great and service is fantastic. Very fresh sushi all the time. Love it here.
Dropped the ball on bringing food out. Waiter, Chris, was helpful in getting things back on track when we told him we were waiting over 30 minutes for food when we only ordered a few items. They definitely forgot our order but the waiter was apologetic and sincere. Also the Habani order has fried rice squares and they were very chewy and kind of hard in texture. This was the first item we received and then waited around for 30 minutes for the rest of our food. So this didn’t start the night out well. At least the sake and beer came out quickly! Sushi was solid but not really worth the price of admission($150 for sake, 2 beer, 2 rolls, 1 app and 6 pieces of sushi), Brussels sprout chips were awesome though. However, probably just had a bad taste in our mouth due to the lack of attention to serving food.
I don’t think the restaurant got the note I submitted when I made the reservation on open table
This is one of my favorite restaurants! I’d highly recommend it for many different occasions.
Very average. We ordered about 10 things. 3 were great, 7 were ok
Amazing location that is very easy to get to. The food was very VERY good. Cocktails were in point and they have an incredible cotton candy cookie dough cheesecake desert! Service was very slow, but I’m starting to realize that just seems to be the norm on Ocean Ave In Santa Monica.
We tried a wide variety and loved it all, but the Kimchi and egg plant appetizers are a MUST!!!
This truly was the best sushi I can remember eating in a very long time. I highly suggest this place if you are interested in very high quality food.
Overpriced LA smallest plates. Waitress with attitude. Been fine tuning the art of over charging for many years.
Great restaurant for sushi. Have dined here 2 times. My husband and I were dining with a dear friend both times. Lots of menu choices. The only "negative" was that the noise level was so high that it was difficult for us to have a conversation with each other.
The hostesses was very accommodating and seated us soon after we arrived during a busy night
The bar manager, Dave, is the best in town!!! We love to sit and enjoy his world-famous cocktails
We did not have the best table ,but the overall experience was good.
The new host with thick accent probably didn’t like her job very much, she refused to sit us down even though we made an reservation on opentable.
I’ve been to sushi roku before and love it. I still thought the food was great, but the service was lacking a bit. We had a 7:45 reservation, and by 8:00, still had not been seated. Luckily we got a spot at the bar and ate dinner there. The food was so food, but the bartender seemed a bit annoyed that we were ordering dinner at the bar. Also, when we ordered another round of drinks, we said “we know you’re busy, so get around to it whenever you have a second.” He responded with “its going to be a minute!” We didn’t have a bad experience, I would definitely still go back. It’s just not what I’m used to from sushi roku
Wonderful view and amazing food.
Liked the specials, but pricey. The standard sushi was fresh; the rolls content was mushy and not very tasty.
Nice menu and great views
The experience was awesome. I was there for years ago with my family and was back in Los Angeles for a business trip and visit at the restaurant again. It exceeded my expectations and is great for family friends and business acquaintances. The staff was wonderful
Amazing food but It’s a little bit noisy location! Anyway the waiter was super nice!
Attentive waiter to start our meal, however he vanished until nearly the end of our meal to shine smiles in hopes for a good tip.
Overall, quality of fish, food preparation and service has gone down since I last visited.
Rather middling sushi. Too crowded. Got a terrible table ( despite booking in advance! ) with wait staff constantly bumping into me. Very sparse service. One very over-worked waiter for the entire room. Acceptable if it were cheap and cheerful, but it's not worth the cash.
We celebrated my sister's birthday at Sushi Roku. We shared all of our dishes. Michael, our waiter, was very attentive and the dishes he recommended were spot on! Really enjoyed the shishito peppers, brussel chips, and robata skewer appetizers. The miso black cod, the hokkaido kiwi sashimi, and the gensai sushi roll were excellent. For my sister's birthday they comped her dessert which was presented with a very cool firework sparkling candle. All-in-all it was an unforgettable evening and we highly recommend Sushi Roku.
Service was excellent and their knowledge of the menu and it’s tastes was fantastic.
buena comida, la selección de sushi pequeña pero con buen sabor cada uno de los platillos pedidos.
regresamos sin duda
Super sushi with nice atmosphere. Waiter was great. Highly recommend this restaurant if you are a sushi fan. Enjoyed This restaurant in Vegas and not disappointed here. Definitely worth visiting.
The server confirmed many of my selections to be a good assortment of tastes and textures. This was my first time here and I brought an important customer from Europe not used to California style sushi. After our initial seating was too " tight", we were moved to a better table without hesitation. The staff worked as a team making sure our experience was exceptional.
Well the most fun was the waiter was “the Sherminator” !
Yup from the movie American Pie.
Spot on waiter that offered amazing service.
The food was pretty good the special fish sushi was amazing however the normal stuff was just meh.
The Brussel sprout chips so delicious.
Overall a great experience and for the future would stick to the specials
Service was not great. I felt the food is overpriced for the value. It could have been because it was NYE.
Great location. Sushi was good. Chicken dish was too dry. Would recommend for sushi but is a bit overpriced.
Very good food
