Came here for lunch to celebrate my sister’s birthday. The sushi was fresh and delicious. We sat in the covered patio; it was a gorgeous sunny day. Our server Marina was attentive, professional and courteous. She observed that it was my sister’s birthday and without asking her for anything- she made it festive and surprised us all with a birthday candle that was more like fireworks. Great time!
Great service paired with the best Sushi in town!!
Richard Melissa and Eddie always make our dining experience a 10!!!
Bartender George would keep me coming back.
Good food, excellent service!
Sushi Roku is one of the best sushi spots in LA! It always has A grade sushi, edamame, Ingredients and sake and amazing dishes to try as well as nigiri, sashimi and all the standards. Owner Mike Cardenas has the best and hardest working staff and it feels family here. It’s busy and brisk across from the Santa Monica Pier and next to the 3rd Street Promenade but still intimate, romantic and EnergiZed - book it in confidence and enjoy. Love this place......
Great first date location. The food is fresh, innovative and delicious
I love this place because they have so many delicious non-sushi items like Chilean Seabass that’s cooked with truffle miso and spinach, so delicious. I’m not a sushi person but everything here is quality.
It was over priced and we felt rushed through. Felt like they were just trying to turn over tables.
Food was excellent, server was excellent, we had to wait 30 minutes to be seated with a reservation. We did arrive a little early, but walk ins were seated before reservation, so there really was no need to reserve.
this restaurant is truly a sleeper, food is as good as it gets, price is still up there but its just great
Was excellent and will always highly recommend Sushi Roku to anyone...
Our server was the only the server serving about 10-12 tables bringing her attentiveness way below satisfactory. Food is okay but the cost is astronomical.
On vacation with our 2 teenagers and this place was perfect for our family with vegan, vegetarian and meat based diets. Great location just off the 3rd St. Promenade in Santa Monica, friendly service and fresh sushi. Our waiter made some great suggestions from the menu and also offered to have sushi custom made to our liking.
Good but not exceptional food. Half price bottles of Sake on a Sunday night very welcome. Great service
Great night, ambience, food and particularly the service (thank you Shaun/Sean). Our party only get together once a year, as we live in different countries, but you made it a very memorable one.
Our waiter Leo was perfect, excellent job!
The sushi was fresh and tasty. Sitting outside is a little noisy and lots of people walking by, but you can’t have everything
We went here for our anniversary and the staff was all so nice!
Overpriced and nothing special. They take advantage of the location and offer mediocre food with high prices. Never ever again. One of us hurt themselves on their furniture and we asked for ice. We never heard from manager to see how we were. Pathetic
Roku is an amazing place - best service on Ocean Ave and by far the best sushi - as good as Nobu for 1/3 the price.
Filet’s were over cooked. Sushi was good. All of the good was brought out at separate times. Service was horrible!
Last night in Santa Monica with the wife and daughter and we decided on sushi. Wish we would have experienced it earlier in our trip b/c it was amazing! We started with the fried Brussels sprouts seasoned to perfection. Wife had the sea bass and I had the White Lotus roll; both were packed with flavor! We definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for sushi in Santa Monica.
We went not knowing what to expect. This Chef Jason came to our table and made our Dining Experience World Class!
Great food. Fun times
Great food and service
Amazing and consistent food, along with exceptional service. Have been here a few times, and it has never disappointed
Love the skewers, avocado hanaba. Interesting menu choices. Sushi was good. Cotton candy carousel dessert is a must try.
Fish quality was very poot
Awesome place. The winter garden was a little loud, but we had the best sushi ever.
Especially, the scallop rolls are sooo delicious.
Terrible food. Waiter tried to upsell us on everything. Asked for sashimi and got some overpriced cheap albacore with ponzu sauce. Sashimi as you know is not served with anything.
Everything was overpriced and this pace has really gone downhill. I guess that’s why it was empty too.
Great sushi restaurant right on the Blv. The service was great and food was delicious. We tried the Chef’s special and tried several differed plates that were all great. Loved the sizzling asparagus with beef and the sashimi rolls.
Love love love Sushi Roku! I’ve been coming here for years and years and they have never failed me for the best quality sushi and fun people. The beautiful people come and eat here - the the staff is the same. California all the way! Their Poke appetizer is over the top and the yellow tail collar is the best! Highly recommended.
Birthday! They didn’t know it was a birthday. We had to let them know
Fantastic amazing service
A little pricey but great quality of fish and would love to try more things on the menu!
Yes, it would be appreciated if those oyster shells need to be cleaned out because when I chewed with few sands from inside the shell. It’s ok they were really good though.
Thank you so much
I took my girlfriend for dinner. We’re big fans of sushi and Sushi Roku did not disappoint. We had a nice table facing Ocean Ave and great food! Our waiter was incredibly helpful and nice. Would highly recommend!!
Will recommend to others, the hostess was the best, and the view was amazing.
Lovely place to stop for lunch right off of the Santa Monica pier- suggested for a nice place to sit down out of the sun. The spicy tuna jalepeno roll was great.
