Sushi Roku - Las Vegas Ratings and Reviews
Decided to do Japanese lunch on our last day in Las Vegas. We had previewed the menu to make sure there was food items that I would order and enjoy. Our reservation was for noon we arrived early and when the hostess decided to speak, she was on the phone, to my husband she informed us they didn’t open until noon. So we waited, we got seated and handed a menu that did not have the lunch items that the online menu had. We inquired and the server stated that was a separate menu and brought us 1 lunch menu. We ordered 3 lunch items and were totally stuffed. The food was very fresh and the steak with teriyaki sauce was very tender and flavorful. We enjoyed our lunch even with the fire alarm going off.
Great food. Elegantly dark and mysterious decor sweep you out of the mall environment of Caesars. Our waiter was especially wonderful. One of the people in our party told him to bring our drinks quickly bc I had just smashed my finger in the door of the taxi. He returned quickly not only with our drinks but also with a double bagged bag of ice and seemed to genuinely care if I was alright. I’ve been here a few times and it never disappoints.
Went there for Valentine's day. They were prepared with my reservation at the time I requested. They were even flexible enough to call me earlier in the day to confirm that the time was still good, and let me know I could change it if I wanted. The gluten free menu was provided based on my request through open table, and or server was amazing. My date did not get any reaction from the gluten free options, and she enjoyed everything. We will definitely visit again!
Great sushi, great view, and reasonably priced. I’ve eaten at several high end sushi places, including Nobu and Tao, and yet Sushi Roku is still my favorite spot. It’s unpretentious, but still has a cool vibe and the speciality rolls are incredibly good. I’ve been to the Vegas location twice before and used to frequent the Santa Monica location when I lived out there. I wish I had as reliably great a sushi place in DC, where I live currently (I’m stuck with Nobu for now)
We almost went somewhere else because of a few negative reviews. A friend and I thoroughly enjoyed our experience at Sushi Roku! Ambiance was great, music was great... we also had an amazing view. We informed the server that we were on a tight schedule with a show coming up, and they were on point. I'll be bringing my wife on our next visit to LV.
My wife and I have frequented Sushi Roku several times over the past couple years. The sushi and Wagyu beef are always excellent. This visit was a small disappointment. We had a reservation and the hostess first sat us at a small table for two in the very corner near the window next to the bus/dish stand even though the place was half empty. It smelled like stale drinks or dirty kitchen, so we asked to be moved when the waiter first approached us and explained the smell. She gave us a little bit of a role-the-eyes look. They did re-seat us in a booth and no smell problem there. Overall the service was just so-so and not what we have experienced there in the past. We are locals and it is kind of sad to see service declining at alot of Las Vegas higher end restaurants. I would still recommend Sushi Roku for the above average sushi and real Wagyu, but you can find the same elsewhere also.
Excellent location, and excellent food. Only issue was it was a sunny day. We had a group of 10 that had lunch in this location, and the only location that was available for us to eat, we were sitting in the dining room with the sun beating on us. It was quite bright, and no way to close blinds, or block the sun light.
We have eaten here about 8 times over the last four years during our trips to Vegas. This restaurant was great on our first couple of visits. But sadly we noticed the quality of the food declining recently. Yesterday was not good. The gyoza was just a plateful of grease and our three rolls were like something from a packed supermarket container. Not good. Presentation has also slipped with all three rolls crowded on to one boring white plate.
I think we might be giving Roku a miss on our next visit.
Our waiter was excellent though but the kitchen let him down.
We sat at the chef's table/bar and were able to interact with the sushi chefs. What a fun experience! Hearing about the guys and where they were from and how they ended up in Las Vegas! The head sushi chef used to be the sushi chef in our favorite restaurant in Chicago! Talk about a small world! But back to the food! The sushi was excellent, the sides were fresh and delicious and the wines, sake, and Japanese whiskey were all wonderful! I would recommend this restaurant to anyone wanting an awesome experience and really great sushi!
