Sushi Roku - Las Vegas Ratings and Reviews
Our group of three had reservations for a late lunch. The place was pretty empty, but yet the service was slow and disjointed. We all ordered bento boxes and the gyoza appetizer to share. Our bento boxes were delivered to the table well in advanced of our gyoza. I had to ask our server about our appetizer. I believe she forgot to put the order in and didn't bother to ask if we still wanted it since we were almost done with our meal. When the gyoza finally arrived we were done eating. My friend and I passed on trying the gyoza because of the amount of oil pooling at the bottom of the serving dish. My son tried one and needless to say, it wasn't very good. I was sadly disappointed because I had heard great reviews about this place. Overall, the bento boxes were good, but the poor service and super oily gyoza outweighed the bento boxes. We won't be going back.
Was in vegas for a conference and was craving sushi. This place hit the spot. All of the entrees (and we ordered a lot of different ones) were excellent. The drinks were superb as well. The crowd was a little thin, but it was a Monday night, and the waitress could've been better, but it was her 1st night I think. All in all a great food experience.
Our Sushi Roku experience began in Scottsdale the week before. We had dinner at that location and absolutely LOVED the food. In fact we liked it so much we went back for lunch on our last day in Scottsdale.
As we prepared for our Vegas trip I started looking at places we could have lunch. When I saw Sushi Roku on a top ten list, I figured it had to be another restaurant with the same name. I looked on their website and sure enough this was the same restaurant. Turns out they have multiple locations in California, Arizona and Nevada.
After we were seated and drink orders taken, a man came to the table to ask if we had menu questions. I asked if he was the manager and it turns out he was the restaurant general manager. Johnny was very pleased when I told him the Scottsdale story and a fantastic meal began. I had put my Scottsdale sushi order into the Notes on my phone and I handed him my phone and said "I'll have this". He respectfully asked if I would be interested in a trying a few new alternative fish and he explained why he thought I would like them. I decided to give it a try and loved one of them and liked the other. Let's get to the food. Order the tuna tartare with black truffles, hamachi serrano, fatty tune (toro), uni and hotate. They are all great. That is not all we had but they were my favorites. Johnny also introduced us to a different wasabi called Kizami. It went well on the toro. So well we had more. And then more again. We also had the Brussels sprout chips, which is something I would normally never eat. But I did and they were good.
What an enjoyable lunch this turned out to be. Cannot wait to return to Vegas for another visit to Sushi Roku.
My husband and I wanted to go somewhere special before the Elton John concert - nothing too heavy, just something light and delicious and Sushi Roku, hit all those boxes. The menu is very interesting lots of great choices. However it's a lot of money for a little bit of food, so save this place for a special occasion. The service was great, everyone was very nice and had great recommendations. Creative menu, even more creative drinks. Two thumbs up for sure.
Quality of steak has declined over the years. Not good cuts of meat at all. Too many other options that are better. Service was the worst we have had ever at this restaurant and we have eaten there 20+ times over the last several years. We almost did not eat at this establishment due to a subpar experience on the prior visit. Really a disappointing downhill spiral of a once good restaurant.
We went to this restaurant thinking that it was a romantic setting like they advertise… Unfortunately the seating arrangement is like a communal table. It's the typical long couch along the wall with 10 small tables in front of it with a single seat on the other side. My girlfriend and I sat with two guys sitting 1 foot to the right of us and another couple sitting 1 foot to the left of us… No privacy, sushi was just average and the service was average at best. Could see this place being a good lunch stop but definitely not dinner...especially a romantic dinner.
This is a quiet restaurant ideal for business meetings and any quiet occasion.
The food is original and great.
Manager John loves his job and isn't hiding... he will sit with you and guide you through the menu or any subject you want. Makes us feel special
