To start, this restaurant required a cancellation fee of $35 per person (for our party of 4, $140) if the reservation was cancelled within 48 hours. That would have been OK for our 9 pm reservation had we been seated before 930 pm despite arriving at 855. That would have been forgiven had the entrance staff not kept "stretching the truth" by saying repeatedly "they are just cleaning your table now" for about 20 minutes, or "the prior group is at your table, they like to linger." What BS: either be more organized with your restaurant, or don't have a cancellation fee, so we could simply leave you and your disorganization to someone else without penalty.
We were finally seated in a small booth (where we barely fit), and it took 20 minutes to get water. Again, this would have been OK, but the table right next to us had their glasses being filled every 2-3 minutes. Our server, who was quite nice, then took our orders, and again, we waited another 20 minutes prior to appetizers to being delivered. The appetizers were quite good, and one was quite spicy. Water was never replenished, and for the first time I can remember, I was choking on a meal, trapped in a small booth with no exit, and I had no access to water. It was that kind of meal.
The dinner then arrived, and two of us ordered the "premium sashimi" for about $80. While the appetizers were quite good and innovative, this ten piece"premium" sashimi, while perfectly adequate, would not have been out of place in your standard neighborhood joint. Nothing was "premium" about it.
Vegas is expensive, I know. At $125 or so a person for something that perhaps would have been $20-30 a person value anywhere else, I'm not sure the premium value proposition is really there in this place.
Yes, the appetizers, as well as some of the other entrees and the desserts, were quite good, but my experience was severely colored by the seating and overall service/ambiance experience.
I'm sure at other times this is likely great.
Fish just okay - not very fresh things like salmon belly didn't look like or taste like anything other than normal salmon
Choice of fish limited
Seats too tight.
Not sure I would go again
Always a great ambience and amazing food!!!! Even the manager Jonny was in the restaurant serving and helping all customers!!! Bravo Jonny!!!
Our sever was very kind and nice..
Foods are little bit expensive but good to enjoy for some special days..
The selection of sashimi and sushi was amazing. Unlike any other sushi restaurant I’ve been to. Must try their Matcha Mule as well, 10/10 recommend!
Menu will easily accommodate a romantic dinner out yet the atmosphere is comfortable for everything from jeans to suit and tie. Recommend the baked lobster roll and mango sake!
Great menu and fine delicacies, but not overly pricey. Views of the strip from one of the rooms. Service was excellent. Difficult finding the place in the Caesar's maze -- but that's no fault of Sushi Roku. Highly recommended for a quiet and pleasant dining experience.
We informed waiter that we had limited time as we were heading to a show afterward - they couldn’t have been more accommodating - sped up the meal just in the right way without feeling rushed. Excellent
Went to celebrate my husbands retirement on NYE. Arrived early and they were very accommodating getting us in to a really nicely located table for two. Wait staff was helpful and friendly. Service was some of the best we have ever had in Vegas. Food far exceeded our expectations and while it isn’t cheap it was very worth it. Definitely somewhere we would recommend and somewhere we will return to. They made a very special NYE memorable and was a highlight of our trip
The food was delicious and the service was impeccable. Even on New Year’s Eve we had an awesome dining experience. We will go again!
The service we got was very excellent 👍
Our waiter was great but the food was mediocre at best and when they set us down or like the worst table in the whole place.
Everything is amazing! I suggest if you can, get the tasting menus they are simply delicious♡♡♡
My friend and I went here on New Year’s Eve. We made a reservation for 6pm and were running very late; I called ahead and informed the host of our situation, and we didn’t arrive until close to 7pm. She called back to ask if we were still planning to fulfill our reservation, and I was impressed that the restaurant held our table for that long. For appetizer we ordered the beef rib eye wrapped asparagus, and we each ordered the chef’s sushi selection for dinner. Both dishes were incredibly delicious and finely-made. Our server was kind, efficient, and open to any questions we had about the menu. As far as ambiance, the restaurant is open to the third floor of the Forum Shops, but the Shops were closed at this time for New Year’s Eve so it was quiet. I saw everyone from families to small groups of friends to dates enjoying dinner. This restaurant provided us the perfect start to a memorable night.
A bit expensive especially after comparing meal tickets at TAO which to would be over the top but actually for much better
Value at TAO across street few nights later
We were out at a table in the corner which which did not give much in the way of ambiance
Good, not great! Best thing here was the service. Sushi was fresh, appetizers were very good, but overall I was not wowed like I have been at other LV restaurants.
Everything from the seaweed salad, to the miso soup, to the tuna jalapeño roll was absolutely delicious. Our server, Eric, was extremely knowledgeable and was perfectly present. 10/10 would recommend!
One of the best experiences we had in Vegas! Absolutely wonderful selection!
Our server was outstanding and extremely knowledgeable in his menu suggestions. We had concert tickets and told him in advance we would be limited on time. He had our coursed food out so quickly and made sure we enjoyed every moment. I would highly suggest this restaurant as its the best sushi I’ve had in years!
Nice views of the strip. The food was average. Service was excellent. Too expensive for the quality though.
As always the best omakase and an excellent deal on their sake sampler.
The baked lobster roll is now my favourite!! Loved that Sushi Roku pushes the boundaries beyond traditional sushi to create incredible flavour combinations. We went at 4:45pm before a show and it was ideal. We had a quiet environment and the full attention of the staff. Loved it.
Food was pretty good. Tempura was soggy and my titan roll wasn’t the greatest roll. But will be back to try out another roll. Nigiri was crazy expensive, there are other sushi restaurants to go to that aren’t as expensive
The food was amazing and the service was wonderful. Great meal
Sushi Roku was a treat. We loved the decor and the view. I was really impressed from the start. Even the edamame was unique and delicious. The staff was friendly, and the food came out very quickly. Everything we ate was terrific, especially the aju nigiri. This isn't your regular sushi bar, but if you're looking for something special, give it a try
Let me first start by saying that the food and service here are outstanding. I'm embarrassed that although we live in Vegas and are foodies, we'd never been here as we always assumed that other than Nobu the only way to get good sushi here is in Chinatown (on Spring Mountain) and not on the Strip, let alone a restaurant that's tucked away in fairly remote spot in a shopping mall (Forum Shops). Our loss, as this place is fantastic and we will recommend it to friends. Bonus for the great view of the Strip via the floor-to-ceiling windows.
Awesome and authentic Japanese food, beautifully prepared. Do yourself a favor and order the baked cod. Best we have ever had!
Half of the food we ordered is not available. Food itself is Ok but does not worth the money. We wait for more than half an hour to get the rolls and sashimi.....Terrible experience
Service was very very slow...terrible that it took 45 minutes to get our food once we ordered.
This was our 4th time eating at Sushi Roku and we love to eat here every time we are in Vegas. The food, drinks, service and ambiance are all outstanding!
Always have a great time eating here. Sushi and all the food is amazing and too quality.
Service was nothing special and for the cost kinda expected better but feel like this is becoming a norm now. Also food was average I could go have sushi at an all you can eat in Vegas that is better than what I experienced here. A lot of money for an average at best dinner
Everything was excellent, service was amazing and food was out of this world. We have been to different sushi Rokus in CA but they don’t even come close to this one. The regional manager stopped at our table and made sure everything was perfect. We truly enjoyed our experience.
Great Service and a nice cozy view of the Vegas Strip below. Truffle oil was a nice add to some of the sushi and sashimi which just melted in our mouths. Great cocktail options as well. Enjoyed it from start to finish.
Wow!! It’s was delicious!! We had a very good time in family enjoining delightful sushi in this excelente restaurant !
Beef skewer was delicious and the sashimi was excellent although portions were small for the price. Atmosphere was nice and the service was great.
Food was excellent. Price was average as Vegas is an expensive city to eat out! Great service, music and view too.
Food was great w a creative touch. Love the eggplant appetizer and wagu beef. Sushi was clean and quality tasting. Our server was very helpful guiding us to make the best choices. Expensive but worth it!
