I have visited this restaurants several times before and always had a satisfactory experience. Recently went to Douza in Backbay, their sister restaurants and had a memorable experience. So when my dad’s birthday dinner came up, I decided to give it a try.
They got rid of their most popular dishes on the menu (edamame fried rice, and wild mushroom) as to why? New chef??
They are connected to the AC Hotel. My husband parked in the back and was told that it’s free with restaurant validation. Wrong. The restaurant charged us $15 even after admitting it was a mistake. This is Cleveland Circle, not Backbay. Pretty ridiculous they would refuse to honor the free parking.
Greetings, We're terribly sorry to hear about your recent experience dining with us, and we'd like to discuss further & make things right. While we are physically connected to the AC Marriott Hotel, we are unaffiliated with them and are required to pay for validation vouchers for guests intending to park in their lot. Should any guest choose to use the hotel lot, they would be required to pay as parking is only free to hotel guests. We have since spoken with the hotel manager about this issue.
Service great and food fresh and inventive not to mention tasty.
Excellent food and service. The only suggestion I would have would be to dim the lights so it’s not so bright.
Be careful what you order. Bill easily comes to $100 for 2 people.
Food was good, but not worth $100.
Nice experience. Will return again. Sushi 10 piece and chicken appetizers were top level. Parking in area no problems. MF
Fabulous service. Food is traditional yet creative and presented beautifully.
Excellent service and outstanding food. They surprised us and the birthday girl with a special candle-lit dessert and the staff sang Happy Birthday to her too. Superb first impression!
I was impressed with how fresh the fish was... I don’t typically go to sushi in boston because of the lack of authenticity and freshness of the fish...
the uni, chu toro, o-toro were all fresh! We ordered a bunch of rolls for our group that were excellent! The salt and pepper rock shrimp was a hit!
Sushi were average ... service - language barrier...
Our waiter was excellent. Considerate and sweet. Not easy to find parking around and there was a $15 valet parking at the hotel right behind the restaurant. Sushi and sashimi were fresh. Will come back.
The worst sushi I’ve had in a while. Their focus seems to be Instagramable food that tastes bad.
Best sushi we have had for awhile in Boston.
Delicious meal. Wonderful, wonderful waiter: named Gray. Intentionally stark, "cold" space - the only unappetizing element!
Sushi Momento is my new favorite Japanese restaurant in Boston. Excellent everything, and I've had the whole menu. Drinks are delicious and the Soto saki is cold, clean, refreshing and delicious. The Chef's Choice Sushi & Sashimi Platter is the perfect place to start.
Momento was just OK. Limited sushi selection and a bit overpriced compared to other more traditional places. I would probably go back to my standard faves next time.
Food tasty and atmosphere is modern and new, but food and drinks were overpriced, especially for sushi deluxe. Usually low $20’s and includes a soup or salad and a tuna roll. This did not include either of the extras and cost $29. Also $12 cocktail vodka on the rocks pricey for this residential/not downtown location. $9 or $10 would be more appropriate. For everyday sushi dining we will not be likely to come back, with half a dozen less expensive sushi restaurants within 5-10 min. It could have become a once a week or two place but will now be a once every 6 months place.
Great service, however food leave much to be desired.
Good sushi, very quick service. Nice dining environemnt and experience. A little pricey, but a good dinner overall.
Excellent Sashimi & presentation! We love the grilled Avacado, Brussels sprouts & wafu dumplings. Mussels have light delicious flavors. Love the firecracker roll.
Welcoming environment. Delicious food and great service! We will be back!
Really enjoyed checking out this new restaurant in my neighborhood, great sushi and fun atmosphere.
Amazing sushi. And I’m very picky about sushi. Top I’ve had in Boston.
It was my first time and thoroughly enjoyed my meal. Food was delicious and service very good. My only negative from this meal was the selection of hot sakes were lacking and the prices for both hot and cold sakes are quite pricey. But will definitely go back! Loved the brussel sprouts with peanuts!
We loved Sushi Moment! The food was amazing! We tried some new and different sushi which was so great!
It was our second visit to this new Japanese. The food and service were outstanding again. Sarah made wonderful cocktails. The price was reasonable too.
My wife and I visited this new Japanese restaurant for the first time. We were truly impressed! A hostess greeted us warmly and our server was super attentive. The food, particularly sushi, was very delicious and authentic. We felt as if we were in Tokyo. Cocktails made by a bartender named Mai were also very delicious and innovative. We will be back soon!
Great service and super fresh sushi.
Creative sushi and menu.
Tuna poke bowl is very flavorful on a bed of rice with seaweed and avocado
Rudy RoJo sushi roll was delicious and fresh.
The fried rice with beef and vegetables was tasty
Nice drinks and great attentive service.
Very clean and handicapped accessible

Very expensive for just okay food. No dish was inspired...
Absolutely fabulous! I highly Recomend - everything is delicious sushi, rolls, tuna tar tar, Brussels sprouts to die for, very interesting menu... so fun!! Home made desserts !! I can’t wait to go back!
