The food was ok when we finally got everything, the atmosphere and ambiance is very good but the service was definitely lacking. Our initial server was released and told to go home and our table was switched over to the only remaining server. Would have been ok if it had been communicated to him. He was clueless and not interested in getting another table. My order came out ok, but my dinner companion had ordered a mahi mahi salad that eventually came out without the mahi ( after I had finished my meal). After finally getting the server's attention and pointing out the issue, we were told the mahi salad would be replaced. Sometime later, the server came out with a replacement for my meal and not the salad. We got that straightened out and finally received the mahi salad quite some time after I had completed my meal. To top off the evening, I was presented with a check that included 2 of the order I had (not just the one I ordered). The whole dinner experience was very disappointing and could have been avoided by simply keeping the original server there until after our dinner.

Worst service ever. Argumentative waiter when issues brought to attention. Slowest unhelpful service. Good just good. Have absolutely loved this place in past. Truly left feeling angry and unheard. I’m pretty sure I have never given a bad review but this was almost a joke it was so bad. Beautiful setting outside but…..

The food was bad! I thought we would start out with a tuna jalapeño roll, No presentation of the food and smelled very fishy to the point, we were afraid to eat it. Obviously not fresh fish. Also, I ordered spring rolls expecting fresh spring rolls instead we got something that was previously frozen thrown into a fryer and tasted “off”, suspected they use old oil to fry it in, and it was still raw in the middle. I asked for a fresh order and got the same thing again. The waiter then offered to replace it, do we ordered the coconut shrimp. Over cooked, tasteless and fried in old oil. Perhaps you have to pay the $100 for the 15 course “Experience” to really enjoy what the restaurant has to offer. But in our case it was disappointing. We also didn’t realize based on the website we were literally seated between the pool and hot tub.

Was not impressed with the sushi roll. When I saw the name Sushi Lab I thought of a unique experience about to happen. The name is very miss leading n deceiving ☹️ And the price of the sake for a very small flagon was $25.00 and it wasn’t even a good brand. Over all I spent $55.00 + for a roll and a sake 🤨😩

The food was excellent, the server Marecio (spelling) was outstanding, and the view is spectacular. The prices were ridiculous. A $13.00 glass of wine was at best a four ounce pour. We will go back.

Based on their website & photos, we had high expectations which were not met. It was average quality sushi. Definitely fresh but nothing exciting or exceptional which is what we were hoping for - a close by “go to” place. We have another sushi option in the area that is better. The location is pretty cool but we were there for the food.

Don't bother to dress up to eat here. Women with thong bathing suits, walk right by your table. No place for intimate dining with your special one. Do not ask for any drink not on the menu. I ordered a Mai Tai and it was terrible. The waiter later started " we didn't have the correct ingredients in stock. (nice if I was told when I ordered it!) The replacement drink was not much better. The Sushi was ok, but nothing like the Sushi we get every week in our local restaurant. The no not have sake on the menu. Then at the end you are told an 18% surcharge has been added! This is for 2 people. I always tip 20% but for good experiences and service. The service was fine, the ambience was horrible.

Good Food, but limited menu for sushi and no asian inspired enters like chicken or beef teriyaki. On the other hand there were nice choices for non sushi eaters including pizza and quesadillas. Gorgeous view of the ocean and bartender was friendly.

This place is called sushi lab and had limited choices The menu also included burgers. Not really a good choice for a night out for sushi. Loud and dogs allowed inside the restaurant. Probably a great place for people on vacation.

Beautiful view! This restaurant sits about 300 feet from the hotel pool. I was expecting more sushi variations and less of a hotel bar (but it was very relaxed feel). We shared an entree salad, coconut shrimp, and a sushi roll for about $60 before tax. Automatically add %18 gratuity and then have an option to add more when you pay. Staff is attentive. We were there around 6p on a Sunday. There was a salsa DJ teaching guests to dance- they were having a great time!

This was a most enjoyable and delicious dinner. Thomas, our sushi chef, was a delight and very informative about what we were eating. We had a friend with us who is not a usual sushi eater and even he enjoyed our meal. If there is some particular type of sushi you don’t like, our sushi chef very willingly substituted another type. This is a very special experience and definitely worth the cost.

Amazing, amazing, amazing. So good that we stay for another serving at 9pm. There is probably nothing as good 25 miles North or South along the coast. Second serving was even more amazing as Thomas, the chef, twicked some of the sauces and garnishes. Thomas and Brendon Rock. I almost forgot about the drinks. Excellent cocktails and wine selection. Renee is so great. The hotel/restaurant grounds are gorgeous. If you stay in a hotel along A1A, and you’re not far, you should walk to the restaurant. It’s a beautiful and peaceful little trip. Perfect night P.S. Don’t forget to tip. P.S. Uni is from Hokkaido

The setting was lovely. We sat outside at a table overlooking the ocean and beach. We shared spicy edemame and truffle fries for appetizers. Three of us chose sushi rolls for dinner The 4th guest had one of the large salads with chicken. Food was delicious. We were hoping however for more Sushi roll or Sashimi choices on the menu. Perhaps also have some Gluten free soy sauce for those needing it. Drinks were reasonably priced but didn’t seem to have much liquor in them. Please note there is valet parking only at $7 a car. Our server was great. He didn’t rush us but was there when we needed him. Overall a beautiful evening, food was very good and we would come back in the future when we are in South Florida again.

We are sushi lovers and were so excited to try Sushi lab, especially after reading the info online. Unfortunately, despite being a ocean-facing restaurant, the sushi was a little less-than-fresh (though not terrible) and overall disappointing. The cuts of fish were small for the price, and the flavors of the rolls were not any thing special. The ambiance and the view are unbeatable, though, so if you don’t like sushi- I recommend enjoying this restaurant for some of the other dishes they serve. My 3 year old enjoyed the chicken fingers and fries, so I’m guessing they serve other cooked options that may be more exciting. With a name like “sushi lab” though, it didn’t live up to the hype for the fish.

Super location and great atmosphere outside, pool,hotub, and heat lamps. Gratuity is added and service was not great. Dinners arrived at different times and had to ask several times for drinks in spite of very few diners. Food was great especially appetizers.

Best Omakase in the county. I’ve been here before and the quality is always amazing. We usually get there a bit earlier and enjoy a cocktail in their garden. I prefer the 15 pieces as you get some exotic stuff, shaved truffles rather that oil infused truffles. Drinks and services are great. Thomas and Brandon Rock.

The reservation was for 4 at the counter, that didn't happen. when I got there they said that I couldn't make a reservation at the counter. They called to confirm my reso the day before, I asked to be clear , is it at the counter again they said yes. They have a long list of of the types of fish on the wall but you can't order any of it unless you get the omakase. I asked why and they said the kitchen gets different fish than the sushi counter. They would not take an order for two pieces of yellow tail sushi even though i just had it in a roll. Never again!!

Ralph was our fine waiter, we had a great table of four and three of us were Sushi fans, the other had a salad. His recommendations were spot on and the bartender was helpful with saki choice based on price range and dryness. It was an overall very positive experience. Our friends who are there recently suggested we try it. We love the area and are walking distance from this great place on the beach practically.

We went for dinner on Monday and was amazing. The ambiance is espectacular Everybody is super nice. Our server Stephany was amazing, super attentive and on top of every detail The manager delphine was awesome too We ended up talking to her a lot she went out and beyond to make an outstanding experience. We can’t wait to come back!!!!

My husband and I went there for lunch today and absolutely loved it. We shared the tuna lovers roll and the California roll, both recommended by our server Skyler, who was extremely helpful and attentive. Food was great, ambiance was amazing. We even got to meet the manager, Delphine, who made sure everything was to our liking. Very impressed overall. We'll definitely go back.

Long-time sushi diners but for the first time we tried the 11-piece omakase - in Japanese "respectfully leaving another to decide what is best." The sushi chef made some incredibly inspired and delicious choices with varieties of fish specially prepared - sorry can't be more specific but it was all top quality. Meanwhile, the hostess kept our sake glasses filled. Great food, great experience, highly recommend! The restaurant is in a hotel on the A1A, valet parking is validated, and there are plenty of menu choices otherwise. But the omakase for a special occasion is the way to go here.

The restaurant located on the beach in the back of the Marriott Residences is a beautiful spot with an open bar looking onto the ocean. The decor is very coastal and interesting/beautiful. Interesting craft cocktails and a Sushi Special Thursday thru Sunday that looks interesting. Be prepared to pay Ocean Front prices. Sat at the Sushi Bar and watched preparation. Good, but I've had better at our go to sushi spot. The menu does have choices for non-sushi eaters. Plan to go back for cocktails and the beautiful ambience.
