Sushi Kashiba is Seattle's destination for Japanese fine dining at its highest level. Located next to historic Pike Place Market. Take a coveted seat at the Omakase sushi bar, where you just might find multi-James Beard Award nominated Chef Shiro Kashiba holding court.

Most guests order one of Sushi Kashiba's chef curated sushi dinners. The mix of fresh local fish as well as delicacies from Japan and around the world will satisfy the palette of seasoned sushi fans as well as new entrants into the sushi world. The food was absolutely delicious. We did the Omakase chef's choice tasting menu and it did not dissapoint. We will never be able to eat sushi anywhere else without comparing it to the high bar that Sushi Kashiba set! We were happy to splurge and enjoy a wonderul dining experience to celebrate our honeymoon and our server, Joe, was so kind and helpful with recommending and helping us to select sake and answering all of our questions about the menu and selections.

I am a big fan of sushi omakase dinners and having dinner near Pike Place Market was a fun adventure. We made reservations ahead of time for 3 people for 845pm on a Saturday night and I was excited after reading reviews. Check in was quick, our server was wonderful - very knowledgeable and friendly with his own tips on each course. Food came out at a great pace and we really enjoyed the varied textures and flavors. The reason for 3 stars is because the ambiance was horrible. We were seated in the back corner of the bar and there was constant activity as it services the main bar and also right next to a back of house draped door that was consistently used by all of the staff. I was also disappointed that we had several courses that featured the same fish versus allowing us to try a variety of different fish options. For a $200+ per person omakase the value was low and it didn’t feel like a nice treat or experience. I would recommend sushi by scratch for the same price point but better experience and food.

This is probably our favorite restaurant five stars on every count I only gave it a 4 on the value because it is very very expensive if you go all out which we always do.

From the time they greet you at the door until the end of the meal, you are made to feel as if you're a special guest. And the sushi is superb. The best quality fish is used while the master sushi chef gives details about each serving. It is worth a trip back to Seattle, simply to enjoy a command perforance at Sushi Kashiba.

This was the most amazing sushi experience I have ever had. Chef Shiro Kashiba is indeed a master of his craft. We were honored to sit at his counter and watch him work. Worth every penny!! We will come again.
