Sushi Kappo Tamura Ratings and Reviews
My wife and I went to celebrate our anniversary. We ended up having to take our children because we couldn't get a babysitter. Even then we had an Awesome time. Everything and everyone made our experience there wonderful! And the food is to die for. I'll definitely be back!!!
The sushi weren’t as good as I remembered the first time and the previous time I went. I’m not sure if the chef has changed.
We ordered majority of the sushi on the sushi menu. The fish on the sushi weren’t as large as last time, with aburi toro I remember was amazing wasn’t broiled nearly enough and wasn’t flavorful either. The only sushi was decent was Uni.
Ippins were pretty good. We had the wagyu in the clay pot, the collard greens goma-ae twist both were pretty good.
I liked the yuzu panna cotta and my boyfriend liked the chestnut creme brûlée.
First impression, very aesthetically pleasing. From the lighting to the sake pottery, the style of the restaurant is very calming and contemporary. The food was amazing. The sea bream (which has a really cool iridescent rainbow color) sashimi literally tasted like tomato and I've never experienced that before. By far the best was the Kagoshima hamachi sashimi, it was so fresh and the had a gorgeous red pink ombré color. Very picture-worthy. Overall a great experience and a great find. Would recommend to anyone.
Food and service were outstanding - but be prepared to spend. Had some unique dishes that were excellent - my waitress did a great job understanding my level of adventurism (which is high) and brought me dishes to match. Would definitely return when I return to Seattle.
Impressive selection of sake -
Went for lunch with a close business friend. Staff took amazing care to make sure we had privacy to talk business but were available to see to our needs. Asked them to surprise us as opposed to just ordering right off the menu. Edward asked a couple of quick questions and then blew us away with our lunch. Can’t wait to come back and do this again.
This was the best recommendation I received while visiting Seattle! It was a bit pricey but completely worth it. The sushi was the best I've ever had. The udon noodle bowl was also perfect for the colder, rainy weather. I'd happily go back next time I'm in the area!
We thoroughly enjoyed our dining experience. Both of our servers were thoroughly informed of each part of the menu which was appreciated greatly. The miso soup was a unique surprise (try it) and they customized our sushi requests as neither of us like cucumbers. The saki suggested for my husband's meal was the perfect accompaniment. Highly recommend this small yet nicely appointed restaurant.
Another great experience at Sushi Kappa T ! Matt, Bob, Owners Bob and Steve are the best ! They really make you feel welcomed, they are always professional and service oriented, and it's the BEST Sushi in Seattle. Period. Met a lovely couple at the Sushi bar - this was their 3rd time there and they agreed with me! It truly is the best - so take your wife/husband/friends/dates there, sit at the bar, and be prepared to be taken on an experience!
Wonderful food with great ambiance. Sushi Kappo Tamura focuses on the sustainable. They even grow their own organic greens and shiso in their rooftop garden in the summer. Many a la carte choices and they also offer different sized tasting menus. The sashimi is divine.
Sushi Kappo Tamura always delivers! I am always happy dining here. The service is phenomenal and gives you the impression that they really care about how they come across from the first greeting when you walk through the door to their sincerity when they clear your plates. The food is amazing but the service is what keeps me coming back.
This was my annual birthday meal with a friend of mine for the past 27 years. She was born 27 years ago. We both love sushi and Sushi Kappo Tamura didn't disappoint. Great food and the service was right on target. We added the dragon roll at the end...Perfect and Delicious.
Having lived in Japan for several years, this is like coming back again. The food is extraordinary and if you like Sake, they have an amazing list to chose from. Finally, if there is just a few of you eating, I recommend sitting at the bar...you see the food prepared in front of you while select what looks interesting.
