Some of the best sushi in New York City, equal to that of the Tsukiji Fish Market, where we ate back in 2015. Look forward to eating at Sushi Daizen again!
Japanese traditional style sushi!
You can see and taste real Japanese delicious sushi.
there are much better places with pieces like Wagyu included for only $50 and a better atmosphere. Fish and flavors were underwhelming. Wouldn't suggest.
I want this restaurant in secrecy, so I say nothing.
The finale of the perfectly orchestrated omakase was a fatty tuna hand roll. This handroll changed the way I think about sushi. Go to Sushi Daizen, have the fatty tuna handroll, let it change the way YOU think about sushi.
Pretty good sushi option in the LIC neighborhood. A la carte menu available after omakase if you need to order more pieces.
Very nice experience overall especially if you sit at the bar. A little slow at the table
Very tasty selection and well prepared
Amazing place. It’s the first place that comes to mind when looking for somewhere to celebrate.
I was a sushi chef in Japan. Sushi Daizen's chefs are perfect authentic sushi masters I've never seen in US.
Amazing omakase. Great ambience. Everyone should go (but not too many of you so you don't ruin it for the rest of us.
Simply a local gem serving authentic Omakase. Great price and quality sushi.
Very good fish...value of prices made it even better...service was perfect..and decor was great
Oh my god. I must return. This was exquisite. The restaurant is very quaint and minimalist but the food was spectacular. I can’t wait to go back.
Omakase is excellent - chef has a great selection of fish and reasonable cost considering the quality!
Good value omakase. Recommend
We had an amazing meal. The sushi was on point. We ordered the omikase anc a few extra pieces. It was all exquisite. They also have terrific sake (pricey though).
Although dishes were tasty, it’s too expensive and the course was not enough for men.
Actually I’m a quite small eater but it was not enough.
I additionally order tow hand roll with $25 each but it was too small.
We finally spent $300 and realized it’s no worth even though food was nice.
excellent sushi. can not believe there is amazing sushi joint in LIC. dont ever have to go into city now.
this is as real as you will get. purist delight. expensive but worth it.
A gem in Long Island City!!! I’m not sure why we didn’t find Sushi Daizen sooner. The Omakase was exceptional and we are definitely going to become regulars. Looking forward to our next meal there.
After 27 minutes of solitary waiting we have left the restaurant. In the 27 minutes we have not seen any server or proposed something while waiting to order. The choice was between 2 menus there was no menu a la carte.
Well experienced staff along with real quality fish from Japan. It's rare to find good sushi with considerably well priced.
The restaurant serves fresh and very good quality Sushi. Menu is only omakase, and not expensive. I would like to go there again!
Best sashimi and sushi my wife and I have ever tasted. Excellent in every detail. Highly recommended.
Always love Sushi Daizen. The minimalist chic decor and the sushi that looks simple but is so full of flavor. Super fresh ingredients - everytime I go, I've tried a fish I haven't tried before. This recent visit I tried barracuda! Well-priced omakase. Highly recommend. It's one of my neighborhood favorites. Always sit at the sushi bar!
Perfect meal, love this place!
Best Omkase I have ever had living in NYC for over 15 years. Chef Etsuzo and his staff are simply amazing. This place is a MUST!
i thought the food was delicious but definitely left a little hungry. Being that it was omakase it was expensive and they could have given a few extra pieces of sushi and one more handroll.
You simply won't find an omakase with better chefs and fish at a better price. And the sake list is exceptional as well. Total professionals doing it right.
No frills omakase menu.
One of the best Sushi ever. Good portion. Humble but they know what real Sushi means.
Amazing Omakase. Super fresh, good variety. The quantity is just perfect to be satisfied without being full.
Incredible quality and presentation!
Phenomenal omakase experience. Personal attention by dedicated and expertly trained sushi master. Exquisitely delicious fresh fish at very reasonable prices.
An overdue visit to the best sushi restaurant in our local neighborhood, LIC, was rewarded with top quality sushi & sashimi, sake & service. Well worth it for a special occasion- such as eating out with my wonderful wife.
Everything is perfect here from their omakase, service, ambiance and even their affordable price! Strongly recommend. My husband and I will find another reason to go back!
Great food and super service.
Like sitting in a small neighborhood restaurant in Japan. Quiet, beautiful, superb service. Sit at the counter. Sushi quality is 5 stars.
Michelin star worthy. Best , freshest sushi in NYC.
I went there to celebrate my boyfriends birthday and both of us had to hold back the tears after each bite. It was that good.
