   Opened the door to a closed izakaya and felt confused and out of place. A gentleman who we never saw again asked us if we were going to Sushi by Bou, and then just pointed to the back of the restaurant. We walked through a door, not knowing if we were going the right way. Empty omakase room. Some guy finally asked us if we were coming for the omakase and checked us in. As soon as we were shown our seats, a sushi chef started plating fish in front of us. There was pre poured water, so we didn’t need to ask. A few moments later, another group arrived, and the man who checked us in announced that the Izakaya’s liquor license was under review, so we had a choice of the sakes left over, in house, to choose from should we want a drink. He didn’t know anything about the three sakes he was pouring. We ordered blindly. The entire experience was over in thirty minutes. I will never, ever come back. What a waste of time. This was so disorganized. I felt bad for the sushi chefs, who clearly felt embarrassed by the host’s inability to provide service. This operation feels so thrown together on the fly, my only question to you is: why even open?

   It was our first time omakase experience . It was simply amazing . We both love the ambiance decor and the whole staff made sure we had a pleasurable experience. We definitely will come back again and again.

   Decided to take the promotional offer they had and glad I did. I took my family of 5 including children to try their first omakase experience. My 7 & 9 year old devoured every piece that was given to them. They both ate it up with pure delight! We had great conversations with the leading chef and enjoyed our time and experience. Great food, great ambience and great service! 5 stars from us!

   Incredible. We did the omakase and it was an amazing experience. We had Harris as our chef and he was the awesome. He was very personable, cracking jokes, answering questions, and giving us recommendations for other great sushi and ramen in the city. He really enhanced the experience and knows how to make some damn good sushi!

   We were disappointed the location was only BYOB but Mitz is the absolute best sushi chef on this Earth. He always treats us like we are rockstars. We love your omakase chefs so much and they are super interactive with everyone, you can lose the liquor but don't lose those chefs!!!!!

   The environment was awesome, been here and would recommend to come back again. Should try their big mac challenge one day. Free shot of sake if you can take that in one bit.

   Izakaya currently doesn’t have a liquor license - we were not made aware of this ahead of time. It was my gf’s birthday, so we arrived early to get a cocktail, they said sorry we’re byob right now. So we just waited up front until our seats were ready for the sushi by bou expereinxe. I spent $350 for 2 people on the sushi experience & had the choice of 1 type of wine (overpriced). We ordered the wine in the beginning & received it during course 6 of 17. You would think the restaurant would give you a heads up about the liquor license issue. I was super disappointed in how the night went. With that being said, the sushi was amazing & our sushi chef was awesome (personable & knowledgable).

   I LOVE Sushi By Bou!!! I’ve now been back to this location twice (and making another reservation soon!) Everything from the super fresh sashimi/seafood, to the fun ambience… and we especially LOVE Chef MITSU!! His attention to detail, creativity, expertise, and outgoing friendly demeanor MAKES the experience!! Cannot wait for my next visit!!!
