Food is excellent, service is good! No service charge! Good value for sushi in NYC, lunch time is half price of dinner, but the sushi set included two piece of toro and one piece of uni! Must try again!

Absolutely amazing in every way. Each member of the restaurant team was kind, knowledgeable and cared about the over all experience of each diner. Further, the atmosphere is friendly and sophisticated. It actually fosters and encourages dialogue between patrons and thus, creates a very accessible and friendly environment which is centered around the total food experience, which is off the charts. When I'm back in NYC, it's the first place I'll go.

The food was superb and the service was excellent. The only issue was the atmosphere, there was a sewer smell/mold on and off, it was uncomfortable.
Decent sushi, but not as good as other well known restaurants such as Nakazawa or Sushi on Jones. Flavors are fine but aren't well balanced compared to other restaurants. Also, expected traditional edomae omakse to be nigiri only, was quite disappointed most of the 180 dollar menu was sashimi - alot of the sashimi pieces especially the toro and fatty tuna wouldve tasted better as a nigiri.
The waitress could not have been more rude. We simply asked for soy sauce with my girlfriend’s sushi roll and they gave us attitude the rest of the night (which subsequently led to me getting in a fight with my girlfriend on her birthday.) All in all I think I will advocate for most people to avoid this restaurant at all costs.
Food quality was top notch but on the pricer side for a few pieces. Granted they were flown in from Japan.
Azabu is an intimate warm restaurant. Attention to customer and detail is wonderful.
Were easily able to accommodate my kosher requirements, and were knowledgeable about it, even on the special menu.

Just crazy expensive for no reason. The sushi pieces were priced accordingly but were half the size of most other premium places, and thus, a ripoff.
snobby mean service, at the very least say "hello" when guests enter the restaurant. very below average fish and food quality. i had to turn back the crab - do not order that, worse than any korean deli lunch cafeteria. was this a bodega turned sushi restaurant, it has the shelpppy, dirty feeling.
Sushi was simple and traditional, nothing majorly fancy. If you like fancy sushi, this is not the place for you. This is simple, good, fresh seafood. (I had the omakase with toro tasting.)
We could enjoy not only delicious sushi but also delicious "Otsumami"

If you are looking for an intimate restaurant with outstanding sushi and service then by all means make a reservation. The meal came with a primer on tuna ordering options as I have never had so many. Great evening here.

Absolutely outstanding with food and service. Tomo, the executive sushi chef, is a master. The staff of Ty, Nancy and Andrew are wonderful. The restaurant is literally and figuratively a hidden gem. Well worth the effort and cost. 5 Star

Food was truly excellent, on the level with Nakazawa or Matsuhisa. Sushi and sashimi that make you realize the heights that can be achieved. I found the atmosphere disappointing. My expectation for a small, basement, Japanese restaurant is that it be sort of moody and cool; this place borders on the corporate. There's nothing sexy about it. Service was professional but sort of indifferent. It's pricey. I won't go back. I'd rather spend my money at Nakazawa.
