All red décor, very luxe Panton spiral lamps, red Luna chairs, a sleek aluminum bar and a Latin inspired sushi menu are brought together to create a sophisticated and seductive atmosphere for Washingtonians.
Great restaurant and food. We were late but they honored our reservation!
Outstanding food, really interesting menu (Peruvian/Japanese fusion). Great drinks, fun ambience.
Enjoyed the food and the ambience. Service was great.
Great food. A new concept in Georgetown.
Service was good, but the food was pretty mediocre.
Loved susheria! A little pricey but very tasty! Great atmosphere as well.
One of the best sushi places around
The environment was very modern and hip. The staff was friendly and welcoming, as it was our first time. And the food was great; from drinks, to the sushi, to dessert! We will definitely be returning.
Absolutely amazing as always. Best sushi in the DV area!
Great ambiance - delicious food and drinks. Loved the spicy jo jo (I think that is what it was called). Seemed a little pricey for what we got, paid $140 for two people (but we did have two cocktails each). Would go back for sure!
Food was clean and a bit small for prices but the flavors were great. Service was very good.
Did not have the wine that was in the list but they were accommodating.
Absolutely best meal I’ve had in Georgetown—ever!! Perfect service by Natia and great atmosphere. Best spicy cocktails. Ask for an array of sauces.
The food and the drinks were really good. I highly recommend the spicy jo-jo! The ambiance is nice too.
Great high grade sushi. The layout of the restaurant, though it had a modern hip layout, can potentially be a bit cramped for individual, pairs or small parties. Loved the service, and the bar is long and illuminated very well.
We were the only people there for a pre movie dinner, yet the apps and the main all hit the table at once
Everything was great!
Service, ambience, and food all was on point. They did a really nice job creating fusion dishes that didn’t seem pretentious nor disappointing. Interior decor is upscale but the vibe is real casual which was a plus. It was a great way to get introduced to Peruvian flavors without feeling overwhelmed. Loved it!
Noise was a little loud, but everything else was fine!
Fantastic food, very knowledgeable wait staff
It’s like Mate got a facelift. The food was good but nothing special for the price.
It was very good. I loved the atmosphere, as I was taking my girlfriend for her birthday, and I loved it:
Nice Peruvian/Japanese fusion food. I would definitely recommend the place to anyone.
The food wasn't good. The main dish arrived first, then the entrees and then my friend's second dish last. The chocolate volcano wasn't hot.
Ambience is really cool. I appreciate the chairs in the restaurant a lot which is a weird thing to like. The lighting is awesome and music level is perfect. It’s loud enough to drown out other conversations but still a great level to hear the people you are with.
The cocktail I had was awesome, the spicy JOJO. Tasted great and had a great level of heat.
Had miso soup which was great, the traditional ceviche which was very good. The spicy tuna roll was great, hard to find good sushi in DC. And lastly I enjoyed the steak medium rare. It was over cooked a little bit but still enjoyable with all the flavor in the chimichurri sauce.
The staff was very pleasant and I look forward to going back again soon!
Terrible service, below average food, and one song on loop that will drive you nuts. I couldn’t even flag down anyone to fill my water glass throughout the entire meal, despite the entire place being near empty. There’s too much great food in Georgetown to waste your time here.
Great and creative sushis and makis ! Great flavors and colors. Also Peruvian cuisine. Kind and helpful service. See you soon to discover the other dishes !
Great spot to pair with a trip to the movies! The ceviche and ceviche maki roll were great. The prices are super high, but fitting for Georgetown. The Asian pear and blueberry salad was just a basic fruit salad. The fresco roll was not spicy, but good when dipped in the leftover lime broth from the ceviche.
Good happy hour deals!
It was too loud, the food was not very good, and the service was extremely slow (the whole meal took about two hours, our dinners came at wildly different times, and we didn’t receive one of the items altogether)
Service was horrible!!! The food takes so long to come out and they kept messing up our order. Food was decent though.
The kitchen is disorganized. It took them an hour and a half to bring our food.
Delicious and different menu options. I thoroughly enjoyed my experience.
Great service and exceptional food - very unique but also well executed. The space is large with good seating and a nice atmosphere for a group. While the prices are on the high end, it is a special place worth the premium. I’m t may not be my favorite restaurant in the District, it’s in the top five.
Bad quality of food, overpriced, small portions. they Offer dishes with meat but they serve a small pice of meat. Is ridiculous, is a scam. stop misrepresenting the peruvian food
We ordered off their happy hour menu and indicated what time we had to leave for a show at the AMC Theater next door. Food was superb, a great value and service was polite and efficient. I highly recommend Susheria for pre/post theater as well as a great date night restaurant.
To be honest the most disappointing thing was the Acevichado. I have eaten this type of makis many time, and this wasn't and acevichado (it is not just putting a bunch of marinated onions on the top). The price is outrageous for the quality and size of food. To be honest this place do not have the quality to charge gourmet restaurant.
Our food was not good, aside from the Ceviche. Our rolls were tough (the fish in our rolls was cooked, not raw, and way overcooked at that) and the seaweed/nori was several layers thick and unchewable (think leather). Twice I actually had to pull bites out of my mouth while I was chewing to see what it was. Because all of our rolls contained the same tough seaweed and overcooked fish, and service was super slow, there was no point in sending it back as that seemed to be the standard. I paid way too much for an awful meal and won't return.
Beautiful inside. Food was ok, presentation is great but they are not the best at sushi. Also, gets pretty loud at times, I couldn't even hear what my friend was saying across from me and tables are very tight. Service was not great either.
Reasonably good sushi (great salmon nigiri) but it took way too long. The servers were clearly overstretched. It took 1 hour to get 2 appetizers and drinks. And then 40 minutes or so to get our sushi which was good, but not necessarily worth that long a wait. Nice setting, but this resto needs more servers to deliver the service that reflects its upscale look and feel.
