About the Menu -
Like Japan, Peru has a millennia-old history. They are two great, ancient civilizations with two major culinary traditions. These traditions complemented one another, and neither of the two sides absorbed the other to the point where one disappeared. SusherÍa menu is the result of this great union and the experience/vision of Mauricio Fraga-Rosenfeld and his dedicated culinary team lead by Peruvian Executive Chef Javier Angeles-Beron.
About the experience -
Susheria is a unique casual-glam restaurant concept where you will enjoy Izakaya, a Japanese style of service. The Japanese version of tapas, dishes will be served when ready. Izayaka is a perfect moment to enjoy life, laughter and great conversations while sharing food and drinks.

The cocktails were delightful and the sushi was tasty. Nice atmosphere and friendly staff. Great find in Georgetown.
Best of the best
I had high expectations for susheria given my experience with Latin/Japanese fusion restaurants in Miami.
I was not disappointed! As the reviews mention, the fish was fresh, and the Lomo Saltado sushi roll was on point! A great blend of flavors. I am a big eater and was full after splitting the tuna tataki(so good), a spicy salmon roll, spicy tuna roll, and the lomo saltado roll.
The service was great (thank you CJ) and the Latin music was lively and made for great *vibes*. We also ordered a few rounds of the hot house sake. Great all around. I wish they had a brunch! Maybe we just missed It.
Very noise outside. Some of the plates were missing. Waiter never told us kitchen was closing.
This place has terrible service. Our waitress was slow and necessarily sassy. She seemed annoyed when approaching our table. Maybe because we weren't ordering a $500 meal (we were just two people), she deemed us less. That said, we ended up spending over $100 on a simple meal because the prices are very high, especially the cocktails.
The food was good, but not enough to trump the terrible service.
Great dinner with great service. CJ was our waiter!
Restaurant needs to be cleaned... floor was very dirty! Food/ sushi was just OK, not much favor. Would not recommend.
Servicer was not familiar with the drinks and forget our requested sauces.
Overcook calamari. Too much sushi rice and also terrible textured on the rice it was mushy, 125 for 1 round of drinks 2 apps and 2 awful rolls. Way too noisy, will not come back.
Excellent service and menu. Loved the take on Peruvian/Japanese flavors. The ceviche was fresh and a real treat, as well as, the rolls. Loved the Volcano. Drinks were creative, the perfect size and priced to enjoy. A definite recommend!
very high quality food in a unique fusion of Japanese and Peruvian. NYC-style lounge vibe makes you feel like you aren't in DC anymore. Well-distanced tables inside and cute outdoor area
Great food and experience
Online it says happy hour ends at 7 but they last second said it ends at 6... 10 mins after we arrived just to enjoy happy hour
Great, accommodating, safe staff. The sushi was delicious and the ambiance was great for a Thursday night.
Legit love the service! So nice and attentive! Gabriel is the best
Service was very poor, 15-20 minute wait just to order drinks or have the waitress come by at all. We ordered a second round of drinks that were never brought and then we were charged for them. Then the waitress left our credit card in the machine when she handed our check back. It seemed like they were annoyed to have customers, while 6 plus employees all gathered around the bar chatting.
I love the relaxed feel of this place – like a comfortable dining room in a friends home.
Be prepared, this is club/lounge level loud. Food is great, bartenders are awesome!
Ceviche and drinks were good , everything else was eh. Service was alright. Need to be more organized as we came in and were told we didn’t have a reservation on my name as I was looking at my name on their screen. Also saw it happen to someone else after we were seated.
Excellent service with unique drink options. The peruvian bowl is a must try! I would definitely dine here again
Great mix of Japanese and Peruvian food. Ceviche and sushi were extremely delicious. Awesome vibe
Excellent food, presentation, service and ambience.
Highly recommended for cool, fancy dining with a twist.
Great ambiance! Was not crazy about the food but will go back for drinks!
Was great! Service and food top notch! Cool ambiance and vibe. Tried 3 different dishes and all were great! Highly recommend!
I went there for my birthday dinner, it was my first time there, the staff was so great and accommodating, the owner gave us free shots, the food was AMAZING...I'll definitely be going back in the near future!
The restaurant week menu is a great deal. The soup and edamame were a nice extra touch. The tuna and ceviche were excellent. The ceviche tasted very authentic. The meat and sauce for the main course were a little salty for my taste, but the fish was good. The deserts were a highlight and really tasty. The waiter was good, but they were short in the kitchen so lunch took almost 2 hours.
I loved the Restaurant Week menu! This was my first time going there, and I can't wait to return in the future.
The wait staff was amazing - super friendly & attentive! Excellent food, drinks & dessert.
Great atmosphere. The sashimi platter was amazing!
Restaurant is closed but still taking reservations.
Always great service and food!
The restaurant was closed though I could reserve via online.
We made a reservation at 4 a clock and when we went there the restaurant was closed. Nobody called us to tell us. They even confirmed our reservation. Such a disappointment!!!
Excellent customer service
Great food and staff. Enjoyed our dinner. Seating outdoors was spaced out and had heater to keep us warm.
This restaurant is gold, the food is flavorful and very well priced, the staff went above and beyond to make sure we had a good time with excellent recommendations, definitely coming back!!
We went there for my boyfriend’s birthday with our friends. It was our first time in Susheria. The ambiance was great, we could sit outside next to heaters. The food was amazing, especially the sushis ,we loved the volcano one.
I would definitely recommend this restaurant.Nice people and great service.
Great service and food, the specialty drinks were amazing
Susheria is amazing. The food is delicious and different from so many other fusion restaurants. Their cocktails are also scrumptious. You get a good amount of food for the cost. It’s a great first date or ladies night spot. It’s conveniently located in Georgetown right near an AMC theater.
Susheria does offer delivery in partnership with Uber Eats. Susheria also offers takeout which you can order by calling the restaurant at (202) 333-2006.
