Our restaurant is open for dinner everyday starting at 5pm. We proudly serve beautifully presented Lebanese dishes, cocktails and have the largest list of Chateau Musar wines in Philadelphia!

Our server was robotic and did not, once, return to us to ask how everything was. We had to keep asking her for items through other servers. Everyone else was a delight and very professional. We spent a lot of time waiting for her to pay attention to us. She did not smile until...she placed the check on the table. We even predicted this! But, the food was outstanding and the restaurant is gorgeous. I will not let the negative experience with that server prevent me from returning to this incredible restaurant!
Food was excellent, service was fantastic.
Great as always. Second time for brunch. The only issue is I’m always a little surprised at the coffee service - they pour coffee but never offer milk/creamer and had just removed the sugar/sweetener from the table to put other drinks down, even though I had already ordered coffee.
The food is delicious and so incredibly unique - and such a beautiful space.
Great experience, always good food and service, took a bit long to get our coffees (10-15min) but that would not deter me from coming back.
Excellent appetizers no need for the meal!!! So yummy
It’s our 4th time there and the appetizer selection is fabulous, allowing the 3 of us to order only 2 entrees, which was plentiful! And the pita is to swoon over!
Outstanding in every way. Arielle was fantastic
great environment - great service - terrible meal that gave us indigestion and a horrible after taste.
Very nice dinner
Waiter was very helpful and knowledge. Made great recommendations. Dinner was great!
Loved our visit to Suraya! Amazing food and some great vegetarian small plate options. Good wine selection. Cozy, warm atmosphere and the best chai latte I've ever had.
My fave restaurant in Philly! The space is gorgeous, open and well decorated. The service is relaxed and formal at the same time. Sounds odd, but it's top notch without being snobby or intimidating. The food is just amazing. The babaganoosh is superb, and smoky, and my fave is the fatteh. Guests enjoyed the rib eye for two and said it melted in their mouth. Same for the Lamb entree. HIGHLY recommend.
Superb service and divine food. I can’t pronounce any of the dishes but the hot appetizer on the bottom of the list that comes in a mini cast iron skillet may be the best thing I’ve ever put in my mouth. We both had fish dishes and they were prepared perfectly. The pita comes right from the oven to your table and I’ve never had any better. Finally get the chai tea latte. Delicious. Great experience.
We were very disappointed with the hostess and manager - poor communication!
Great middle eastern food! As good as it gets. Best in the Philly area. Knowledgable and helpful service.
Everything we ordered was outstanding! The bartenders (Patrick) and a young lady I didn't get her name were friendly, attentive and knowledgeable. Can't wait to return!
Really awesome place! The food was really really good. The service and servers were always there and the ambience was great. Cannot go wrong.
Suraya is a wonderful restaurant. I am not writing this to condemn them, but just as a learning tool to get better. As my expectations were high do to the wonderful press reviews and the amazing reviews previously posted on Open Table. I really enjoyed the drinks. I had the tequila/mezcal cocktail along with the bourbon, arak, toki, turmeric drink. The best two things I had while on this trip. The food however was overly salty, besides the hummus and pita. The hummus and pita however was also disappointing. Dizengoff sets the bar pretty high and I'm not sure if you can surpass it, but please be a bit closer. The Bata Hara had a wonderful flavor, but it was too salty on the first few bites. I enjoyed the turmeric rice. The mata hari (roasted mushrooms dish) had a great flavor too besides the heavy hand in salt. I enjoyed the fattoush, but it too had a heavy hand with salt and acid. The Pita in the fattoush were to thin to handle that aggressive seasoning. I feel like this experience was an anomaly and I will be back to try the food again and definitely the great drinks!
Besides the missing mise even when my second dish arrived. Also, I was thinking that eating with your hands was apart of the experience so I never bothered to ask for one. The bar staff were great. I really enjoyed their presence. Definitely will be back to give Suraya another opportunity to impress because I really want to be.
It’s better than my mother in law’s and hers was really good. I can’t wait until I go again
Fantastic restaurant, buzzing on a Sunday evening. Much larger than expected. Great menu, we went with our servers recommendations, Best lamb dish.
I have now been to Suraya 4 times, each time bringing a different friend or set of friends. Each time has been as good as or better than the previous time. The food is wonderful and exciting, the service is helpful and professional, and the setting is delightful. Try the cocktails-- they sound too over-the-top, but they are truly delicious and can carry you through the meal. Try everything on the menu-- no matter how many times you have to return-- it is all worth it.
And tacky as this sounds, the best thing is that there is a parking lot in the back of the restaurant, so you don't have to be local to enjoy this wonderful gem of a restaurant.
We had such a great meal and night. The service was beyond phenomenal, and the food was in equal comparison. We can't wait to go back.
Cordial welcoming, spacious, good mannered waitress, amazing food.
Dinner was good, service was excellent, but we had to wait 20 minutes for our table.
The service, food, atmosphere was excellent..My only complaint is the portions were small for the price specifically the hummus. Salad & babaganush...I've been here for lunch and those portions were much bigger then the dinner portions. I will come again with friends for lunch.
Good food, good service and atmosphere. Just ask that servers not handle the rim of water glass when pouring.
Celebrating our New Year with parents. Super yummy options for vegetarians & vegans
The best Lebaneese food in this country!!! My husband and I were visiting for the weekend we went for lunch we LOVED it so much we went back the same day for dinner. If we lived in Philadelphia we would eat there 2 to 3 times a weak. Everything was delicious and fresh the staff very friendly and professional. If your in philly you must try Suraya worth every penny.
Amazing meal. Super authentic and creative cuisine and the GM Mike is one of the best in Philly. Highly recommend!
Spectacular in every way. The ambiance, the service and especially the food was over the top great. My wife and I started with the baba ganoush with freshly baked pita. The stuffed grape leaves(warak enab) elicited an “oh, my!” from my wife when she took her first bite. The waiter asked if we wanted to get a fresh plate after sharing the first two dishes and we both refused for fear of not being able to get every bit of sauce leftover on the plates. For main courses we shared abu sayf (grilled red snapper) and samake harra (dorade) that were incredible. The seasoning, the presentation, the right size portions... running out of positive adjectives. I’ve already booked another reservation (my birthday..figure I deserve it) and am starting to plan some meals with other friends. So, yeah, I liked it.
Delicious food filled with tasty bits in every bite! This was my first venture into Lebanese food and it was a wonderful surprise! The staff was welcoming and quite helpful with menu choices. The backyard garden area looked delightful, of course, it was raining on the day I went. I am planning on going back again soon!
The food was phenomenal. The service was mediocre and really took away from the experience. The space is beautiful. I asked the day before whether or not having a meeting with 5 people would be an issue at the time I scheduled and was told it was fine. Honestly, felt rushed from the moment we arrived by our waitress. She also just seemed to not have a clear concept of communicating with the table. She would reach over guest to grab their plate without asking them if they were done or even to say let me clear that for you. It was like an invasion of personal space. We asked for napkins and she gave us 3, spread them out and then proceed to say for the table. I believe that after interrupting is numerous time to rush us about ordering dessert I think the awkward and stank looks gave her the message and she didn’t return much to our table.
Despite this I will return and give the restaurant a second chance because I had been super excited to experience it and this visit overall disappointed.
Food was wonderful but service was rushed. Only 3 of 4 of us were seated & the waited came twice to take our drink order! Waiter interrupted conversation several times. Give staff better training.
Had lunch at Suraya's and really felt that the quanity of food and cost were excellent, however, at dinner the serving amounts were surprisingly smaller, menu options were limited for vegans, and the cost went up. Although the service was excellent and the food and cocktails were very good, I must admit that dinner (and it was also noted by a friend who went for dinner for the first time after having lunch) was a little disappointing.
I had lunch with my daughter here and we absolutely loved everything starting with the most delicious hummus (crispy chickpea) I’ve had since attending college in the Middle East! The flatbread with tomatoes, cheese and long hots was delectable. We also loved our salads with incredibly tasty dressing and croutons made of crispy pita bits which added a welcome crunch to the fresh greens. Their rose water lemonades are my new addiction! With its gorgeous atmosphere, friendly staff and fantastic food, they’ve hit the restaurant trifecta! Worthy of the moniker it’s been given as the best new restaurant in Philly this year!
The food and drink experience was great. We’ve been talking about it all week. Loved the ambience and authenticity. The service was super sloppy and awkward.
Food is delicious but service awful. Was given menus that were missing the back page. Had a rude server who called my girlfriend a big woman which was wildly inappropriate.
Food is excellent.. service very good.. expensive$TEMP_OC_CONTENT_HEREamp;
Phone voice mail is a horror show...easier to call Lebanon... also forget parking anywhere near this place... impossible... Parked 9 blocks away and took an Uber from there.
One and done.
