Our restaurant is open for dinner everyday starting at 5pm. We proudly serve beautifully presented Lebanese dishes, cocktails and have the largest list of Chateau Musar wines in Philadelphia!
Our garden is open! Stop in today and enjoy the warmth and culture of Suraya.
Amazing ambiance, cuisine and experience.
Terrific food--everything was fresh, flavors new and unexpected and lingering and perfect. I don't eat meat, but my wife and son had lamb dishes and everyone at the table (but me) tasted the dishes and raved and were still talking about perfect lamb dishes when we got home. The hummus and other salads and flat breads rivaled what you find at Zahav. Not extensive but thoughtful wine selection, but not inexpensive--bottles start at over $60. We ordered from the cheap end and thought the wine was a good value. The service was attentive although perhaps a bit too much so. All in all, well worth the trip to Fishtown.
Really delicious food. Wonderful tastes and textures. One of my best meals in years and I eat at many top places
Food is amazing. Wonderful service and beautiful ambiance. Nice vegetarian selection.
4th time at saraya so obviously we really enjoy the food and atmosphere. This was my birthday eve . However $39 for dorade fish is a bit steep, especially when it didn’t have so much as one string bean on the side. All I was served was the lonely fish on a lonely dish.
We dine out at very nice establishments a few times a week and I can’t recall anyone else being quite so sparse. Too bad. Mediterranean food is usually quite generous.
Very tasty bites. Service was paced nicely so we didn’t feel rushed. The noise level was uncomfortable, though, and we had a very challenging time carrying in a conversation. Also, the print on the menu is small and that, combined with the low light, made it EXTREMELY difficult to read. And I have 20/20 vision.
Suraya was a great culinary experience. Very nicely decorated. Can't wait to get back there when the weather's nice to check out the outdoor area. The food was excellent and I'm looking forward to trying some of the other items on the menu. A bit noisy but not something that would prevent me from going back. Think it was more the two parties sitting near us than the restaurant. Luck of the draw. Highly recommend this place for great middle eastern food.
The food was delicious! The lamb and babagnoush (spelling ?) was out of this world. The service was great as well. I would recommend Suraya to anyone looking for traditional Lebanese food with a slight twist. Best Lebanese food you’ve had in a while. The manager, Michael was fantastic.
Perfect from start to finish and delicious as can be!
Delicious food with fresh ingredients. Can’t wait to go back!
Third time we have been here. Food and service is wonderful....top notch!
It was as wonderful as all my friends and reviews claimed. Enjoyed Suraya for the first time Sunday, I have reservations to be back for dinner on Thursday. Food is fresh, delicious and beautiful.
Had a great time. Ambiance is wonderful. food is tasty and overall atmosphere is great.
Awesome experience- second time for brunch. The lamb hummus is amazing as is the kabob platter. Can’t go wrong with any of the flatbreads. Shareable portions. The mule and fizz are great brunch cocktails as well.
Reservations are hard to get at a decent time, but we were seated quickly for a 10:15 reservation.
Food was great, normally middle eastern food is made very bland due to the american taste buds but this place has figured how to offer an authentic food, full of flavor and tasty.
definitely order a bunch of appetizers to share
the lamb is made well too.
they make their own Pita which is pretty good!
Valentine group dinner for 10.
The restaurant was beautiful, roomy with a rustic modern vibe. The cocktails were original and well made. We had a multi course set menu which was sumptuous and perfectly prepared. Each dish was presented beautifully in a timely manner. The lamb tartar was a standout and savory but not gamy. The fried bulgur beef balls were unique. The main course dishes were all fantastic..the lamb was succulent..the head on shrimp was grilled perfectly and brilliant. The whole grilled dorade was the piece de resistance ..outstanding in taste and well seasoned!
The deeserts were all well done.
The service could be better as each dish was rushed to the table and would quickly leave with little explanation on the dishes. Well deserved top ranking..we would come back..
Phenomenal food and atmosphere. Took an hour to get our food and waitress never acknowledged or apologied
We did the tasting menu between the three of us. It was delicious and rivals another of our favorites, Zahav. Loved the Fatteh, Fried Kibbeh, Baba Ganoush, Kefta Kabab, Kawarma, and the Coffee, Banana and Apple desserts. Nice atmosphere. Beautifully decorated. Service was very personable and efficient. We will return!
Food was delicious, and the restaurant was so cute! Service was great. Food came super fast even though the place was packed when we arrived. Some of the best food I've had in a while in Philly!
The ambience at suraya transported us to a whole new place. When we walked, it was hard to believe we were in Philly! For first timers, our server was super helpful and attentive. Each beverage we tried was delicious and our food was outstanding. We can’t wait to go back again and highly recommend it for anyone to try!
Food was delicious and the server was great, but we had 1 o'clock brunch reservations and didn't get sat til around 1:30, and we noticed several open tables, but other then that I would go back.
Waiter was friendly and attentive
Go! I see why it was voted best resturant of 2018!!!
Ohhhhh la la , this place is absolutely delicious. This is the best Turkish food we have eaten in a long time.
The service is great, they are very friendly and welcoming. We had made bookings via OpenTable for brunch at 10:30 AM , we were there at 10:25 and we were asked to wait. They seated us exactly at 10:30 in a very sunny side of the restaurant. Positives of that side , you can watch people and its warm , negatives , the light is so bright that you cannot take good pictures.
I wish there was Turkish coffee ( they don't , they have Stompers coffee, which is a slight letdown ) .
Location : the place is in in the Fishtown area of Philly, during brunch time we were able to get street parking near the USPS parking lot.
Ambience : Once you enter the restaurant, you see the small area where you can pickup food items, more like a bakery with small grocery stuff for middle eastern food items. The decor is beautiful , the restaurant is huge and when you walk around you can sit near the kitchen and you can see where your food is made.
Service : Service was excellent, there are lot of options for us and our waiter was nice enough to give an explanation of each and every item that we had questions about and also suggested that we should come back again for dinner because the menu is totally different and much more grand.
Food : It was Yumm , We ordered the Mezze Plate , I always like to order a plate with all possible options. Along with that we ordered that Falafel Sandwich with Herbs (which was also served with Spiced french fries).
We ordered the Pastry basket, one of the most yummiest desserts
All the food we ordered was awesome and we will be back for dinner once the weather gets better !
Great food and great ambiance, however it is definitely very expensive. This is a treat-yourself kind of place.
The one fish dish is maybe one of the best in Philly.
Valentine’s Day date was nothing but exceptional! Absolutely amazing everything. Best restaurant in philly !
First, coming in already a few minutes late we had to wait another 15 minutes past our arrival for a table to become available, which put a sour taste in our mouths, especially since it was a special Valentine’s dinner date night. We assumed the rest of the night would be slow moving as well. The decor is modern simplistic. We were expecting a bit more in decor from the restaurant, but we were thoroughly impressed by our counter seating which offered a great view at the line cooks and sous chefs at work. As required for the holiday, we purchased the $65 prixe fixe dinner. The first course is table dips served with their warm delicious pita bread. Unfortunately, the kitchen brought that out with our second course or “mezza.” The dips such as hummus, babaganoush, muhammara, Labne, and taboule did not disappoint. Our mezza were a mix. We ordered the Sawdat Djej, which is chicken liver made with molasses and lemon. It was delicious and like something we have never had before. My wife’s mezza, the kibbeh nayyeh (raw lamb) tasted like oil and onions. It was extremely disappointing. As our mashawi (main course), we went with our lovely servers recommendations and ordered the Kawarma and Abu Sayf to give us a taste of the meat and the seafood. The Kawarma, a Lamb dish was absolutely amazing. It had a juiciness to it that reminded me of a Brazilian steakhouse, and paired amazing with the sweetness of the salad. The Abu Sayf, which is a striped bass, was also a great choice, flavorful and moist. For dessert we went with the Coffee & Chocolates Verrine, which was great but nothing unique, and the Banana, Tehjna & Shamandir which was something exciting to try, but underwhelming to taste. The service from our waiter Julian was superb. He has great humor and amazing suggestions and service. While some of the dishes missed, we would definitely want to come back and try more from Suraya.
Amazing, simply amazing!! Food is perfect, service is as well!
Best restaurant in Philadelphia hands down. No other venue comes close to quality and service.
Love this place they just put great effort into making it a desirable and worthwhile experience
Incredible ambience, service was excellent and the food was insanely delicious. We were quiet during the first course only because we wanted all the food! Great selection of wine and cocktails.
Wonderful meal at Suraya. We did the tasting menu and left very full and very satisfied. Staff was so friendly and made us feel at home.
Great atmosphere, outstanding food, good service, great date spot, went for valentine's day, was perfect
This place is fantastic. Lovely atmosphere!
Beautiful space and delicious food. Can't wait to come back!
We went the day before Valentine’s Day hoping to beat the crowd but it seemed like a bunch of people had the same idea because the place was packed.
It took us about 30 min to get seated despite having a reservation but other than that, the experience was great!
The restaurant was beautiful, wait staff was attentive and food was delicious. We had the tasting menu and everything was delicious. I will definitely be coming back.
Everyone was very attentive and the food was excellent! Definitely will be back again.
