My wife and I were in LA for a few days, and being that she is a huge Vanderpump Rules fan, I surprised her with a date at SUR. Aside from the fact that she got to meet some of the cast from the show, the food was delicious, the drinks were just right and the staff was very accommodating and friendly. We would definitely recommend his restaurant if you want a great atmosphere, and good food and drinks. We had an amazing time!
We had a great time - SUR did not disappoint! Good food, lovely seating, excellent service, tasty cocktails - Max was our server, Peter was dreamy and James kept the party going. Great time had by all!
The food was absolutely delicious! Even if you’re not a fan of Vanderpump Rules on Bravo, I 100% recommend stopping in for a meal and a drink.
We came all the way from Boston for our daughters senior trip. Food was just ok, it was very dark in the restaurant. Was expecting more of a special time. Sorry to say
The decor is amazing, very trendy and upscale. Food was at best, average.
Great experience, food terrific. Even cast stopped by to say hello
My friends from out of town were visiting and I was showing them the West Hollywood/Beverly hills area and randomly chose to go to SUR.
So the waitress was very inattentive to us. They brought out cold bread and no oil or butter. (We asked for a second round of bread and they brought butter the second time).
Food was meh. I didn’t care for it. Wasn’t absolutely horrible and wasn’t amazing either. I’ve had better in other restaurants.
Most disappointing and frustrating thing about the night was our waitress overcharged us for one of the items on our bill.
When we asked her about it, instead of being courteous she tried to make something up about why it was costing more than we thought. We asked for her to check the price again and she said the manager would come speak to us. He never did. She came back and asked if the manager had spoken to us, we said he hadn’t, and then she took the check, adjusted and brought it back.
We were right about the pricing. The menu said $8 for the soup of the day and she had charged $10.
overall service was very poor.
I probably won’t be going back.
It was an awesome experience. I love the show Vanderpump rules, so it was cool to experience it. The only complaint I had was no changing tables in the bathroom. I know it probably wasn't intended for kids to visit all that often but when you're visiting from out town and you want to see this cool place, it would of been helpful. Everything else was awesome.
SUR was by far the best restaurant we ate at while in LA. I had the filet mignon and it literally melted in my mouth. So divine! The ambiance is absolutely dreamy and the decor is lovely. We met with friends and they also loved their meals. It is a little pricey but well worth it. If you are in LA do yourself a favor and stop here for dinner. You won't be disappointed! I am an avid watcher of Vanderpump Rules and hoped to see someone from the show. To my surprise, many of the cast members showed up. They were so kind and down to earth, not to mention gorgeous! This made my trip!!! Thank you SUR and we can't wait to return this summer!
Such a culinary disappointment. We ordered 4 appetizers & 3 drinks to the tune of $160 (which included our 20% gratity).
Planned on having dinner too but cancelled our order. Would rather set the cash on fire then consume another bite. I am a huge fan of the show & a restaurant owner myself. I was shocked at the low quality and poor taste of the food. Take some pride. Pretty sure it was all frozen premade food service product delivered & reheated. No farm fresh local California ingredients on the menu here. Guarantee the show is the only thing that keeps people coming to this restaurant.
The space was pretty, it was cool to see it in real life since I watch the show. Also, our waiter was very friendly.
Go in for a drink if you are a fan of the show then go out to eat somewhere else! Won’t be difficult to find something better!!!
Cool vibe. Bad food. Weak drinks. Only gets a good because we’re big fans of the show.
Saved the best for last on our girls weekend trip! The food was delicious and reasonably priced. The design of the restaurant was stunnig & we even got out birthday cake delivered by one of the members of the cast of VanDerPump Rules .. a picture perfect evening!
Crispy chicken was absolutely delish. Would go back just for that! The goat cheese balls melted in my mouth. Loved everything. Staff was friendly and parking was easy. Enjoyed it thoroughly.
Had a wonderful experience at Sur. We went for brunch on Sunday and had a great meal and a very helpful waitress.
Brunch was amazing so hope it stays around for future weekends
saw Tom, JAX and Brittany from VPR! It was all about the pasta, goat cheese balls and Vanderpump Rose! Want to come here every saturday night
Fantastic experience for a very special birthday celebration!
Great service in dining area. Food was average. In the bar area service was horrible. Took forever to be served, which seemed to be the problem with a lot of other people too.
To be honest when you walk in the manager looks you up and down and judges you then decides whether to seat you upon his judgement. Pretty much superficial horrible people.... don’t waste your time beautiful place cheesy cheesy people Every table was open too! And club music playing soooo loud at lunch time... I will say I have a little Pomeranian Ted and have met Lisa numerous times at Vanderpump dogs and she’s lovely and intelligent not sure why she has a sleezy manager. Stay away. TOURIST TRAP
We enjoyed the first brunch sur had to offer. Quite enjoyable from start to finish. Highly recommend
Max —our server — delightful. Food was average. Ambiance was nice on the patio. Clientele has much to be desired.
Don’t go if your hoping to see the staff from the show. They aren’t there much. But the ambiance is really fun. Very sexy.
Sur did not live up to our expectations. We were very rushed and in and out in under an hour which is the fastest dinning experience I have ever had. As soon as our drink came our appetizer was there and then the second we finished that they had our entrees. We didn't even have time to finish our first drink before dinner was over! It felt like a factory and the food was nothing special, average at best. I guess you can't expect too much from a restaurant that is probably only popular because of a TV show not their service or food.
We had an amazing time! We went for a girl’s night out and loved the food, the ambiance, and the electric vibe of it all.
The decor is beautiful and the food was amazing! I ordered the pork chops and my man ordered the roasted filet mignon, both were so delish!! I have never had such a thick cut of a chop that was cooked to perfection. Not even a lil to the dry side!
DELICIOUS FOOD, TASTY AND CREATIVE COCKTAILS
I'm a HUGE fan of Vanderpump Rules, and I saw Max (Lisa's son) and Jeremy (Ariana Madix's brother) at the restaurant. I ordered the Angel Hair Checca and OH MY it was Delicious!!!! I also had the Pineapple Mojito and It's my new favorite drink at Sur!!!!
Disappointing - service was no good and the food was nothing to write home about. Overrated
We dined here do to the show. It was on our daughters places to go too. The ambiance was good, but seemed like the servers were arrogant and that we were the lucky ones to be at the restaurant.
My daughter was so excited when we got sat in Max’s station. But we soon realized Max is not a true waiter nor does he want to be a waiter. After hearing the back story of Max and his family, it made me sad that he was server. The service was absolutely horrible. max was nice, just not engaged to what he was doing. It was painful to watch.
As for food and ambiance. Both were great. Well worth the poor service, to say we ate at SUR.
Food was very good. Server seemed disinterested. Wine was not served cold.
Our server, Kellie, was great. She clearly had too many tables but her service remained 5 star. Will definitely be back.
