What Insiders Are Saying
A cash only, no reservations, popular East Village Italian establishment.
Food was amazing, service was great. It's fairly noisy inside, but it depends on which table you get. I would definitely go back!
Best food I’ve had in a long time. Great anniversary celebration.
It’s simply the best! The food is delicious, the setting lovely, and the staff always accommodating. Try the chicken parmigiana or any of their pastas.
Met friends who live in the neighborhood. Little did I know it was their favorite restaurant, and for good reason! The food and service was outstanding!
The service was so great, it made our day! Can’t wait to go back!
Birthday. Great good at an affordable price.
Came for my birthday because I wanted Italian food like I had growing up. Just like my father and grandmother would make. This hit the mark on every level right down to the birthday serenade I got from pretty much the entire staff. I love this place!
Great service. Good place for a group. Cool NY old world vibe!
Supper is my all-time favorite NYC restaurant, David the waiter is just incredible. The food is nothing less than delectable. Everything about this place is perfection!
We loved Supper. The people are great and the food is fabulous.
This is my third time dining at supper and i can tell you it won’t be my last!! I love it!
Nice dinner. Great pastas. Good wine pours. Slightly distracted service but friendly. Terrible over loud music (not the time for the Michael Jackson mix).
Always superb Italian
LOVED everything about Supper. Will definitely make this a must whenever I’m in nyc!!!
Continued to meet high expectations! Fantastic place to eat.
Wonderful meal, wonderful staff. Unfortunately sat next to a table of awfully loud women. Otherwise great experience.
Overpriced for mediocre food
Amazing as always. Never disappointed. Risotto, Tagliatelle and Lasagna dishes are superb no matter how they’ve been specialized for the day.
This is an old-fashioned Italian place with good food and cozy ambiance in the East Village. Always good value and good food with nice service.
Delicious food. Great ambiance. Cash only. Look at menu ahead of time and plan to bring enough for what you want.
We went for brunch. The quality of the food was good, but the prices are now 35% higher than posted on the OpenTable menu. $13 items are now $18! And at these prices, I would have expected a bit more hollandaise sauce on my rather dry eggs benedict. Also note that this is a cash only restaurant.
Best meatballs ever! This place is a gem.
Really fun little place. Everything was good but the chicken parm was excellent, and their red sauce in general is where you get the best taste. Quiet enough to talk, noisy enough to know you were in a good place. RECOMMENDED.
The hostess is obnoxious. There are enough good Italian restaurants in the east village that I don’t need to return to this one.
We had a delicious birthday celebration for daughter! The pastas and veal scallopini were amazing! Would definitely recommend!!
Food was fantastic and our server was great. We had one issue where one of our dishes came out nearly when everyone else had finished eating. Additionally we had a member who’s birthday it was in our party and I requested for a dessert with candles to come out at the end. And while the party next to us got a big birthday shout out my friend did not, they completely forgot and it was disappointing. Overall the food is incredible and the vibe is great as well, just a couple glitches
Supper is the best Italian food I have had so far in NYC! They have a great menu and the gourmet Italian food it put together right infront of you! I took my valentine date there and it was a smash! Compliments to the chef! Also I would totally make a commerical for them if they gave me a free meal! ;)
It is a typical east village ambiance, cozy noisy and tight space.
Food is really good. Wine, Merlot was horrible ( no depth , fullness or flavor).
It has its charm and food wise you can not go wrong
Amazing! The risotto was incredible as was the cacio e pepe
We were seated in the back room with two other large groups celebrating birthdays, which was incredibly loud and rowdy. It was really unusual as I’ve been to Supper loads of times, and have never experienced this.
Food was on point as usual, but the ambience left a lot to be desired unfortunately.
Although the food is mostly good, the ambiance leaves much to be desired primarily because if you're seated in the back room and it's full with relatively loud diners, the cacophony is unbearable and you'll be hoarse from shouting at your dining companion. Also, the back room is so tight that the waiter kept banging into the back of my chair everytime he walked by. Very annoying. So, if you go sit in the front (where large groups aren't seated) and know they don't take credit cards (annoying in this day and age) so bring cash.
It was amazing as always!
Perfect date spot! Great vibe, delicious food, friendly staff
Beautiful historic building is the backdrop for this tiny, cozy, restaurant. Food will not disappoint!
went on a busy Friday, restaurant was filled but moving efficiently. fun ambiance, louder, energetic. food was great, and service was attentive. would go again.
Was going to a venue close by and found this restaurant. I arrived ahead of time and waited for another person. The staff was friendly and I was not rushed. The food was delicious and interesting. Loved the Black Kale Caesar Salad!
