We picked this spot as it was near our evening concert location. Very tight quarters, but the food is very good. Service very friendly and helpful. Portions generous. I would go back if in the area.
Supper is one mine and my families favorite Resturants. The service is amazing and the food is delicious. Coffees are made with love, designs and flare. David always makes our experience worth the trip. He is amazing! A must to eat at.
Delicious and overpriced! I love it! Bolognese slaps, veal meatballs are 5 stars!
Best pasta and tiramisu in the city! Definitely one of my favourite restaurants
Delicious homemade Italian 👌. The Chianti perfectly paired well for an intimate and casual date night.
Food was delicious !!! Can’t wait to return.
Amazing food and service. One of my favorite spots in the city!
Not a bad Italian restaurant. Next time, I would go strategically for their daily specials. It's a super small place but really a cool atmosphere.
I’m only giving this two stars because the food was good. However, good food is not worth what we endured. Sure it was Valentines Day but we had been holding a reservation for 3 weeks.
Us single gals got together and wanted to have a nice dinner together. The table they put us at was a communal table at the front of the restaurant. The seat I had should never have been an option for someone to sit in. It was right next to the door and Supper has one of those curtain vestibules to stop the draft (didn’t actually do anything). EVERY TIME someone entered or left the restaurant I was smacked in the head or groped because they didn’t realize there were people dining directly next to the door.
I asked the staff if there were any other tables and unfortunately there weren’t. The most frustrating part about this was the staff didn’t seem to understand that my complaint was a valid one and the way they apologized wasn’t heartfelt in the slightest and seemed more like an obligatory phrase than one of warmth.
I myself am in the hospitality industry and have the most amount of patience a person could have when it comes to the service industry. I can assure you if I’m taking the time to write about my experience in a negative way, the venue completely missed the mark.
While our server was kind during the process, towards the end of the meal we waited 15 minutes for our check and debated walking out in order to get his attention so we could pay our bill.
I’ve heard great things about this restaurant from others going on dates here. Seems they’re not capable of accommodating parties of 2 or more. Do yourself a favor if you are going to dine here, make sure you specifically ask for a table away from the door because their space heaters that are there to keep you warm aren’t even plugged in.
We celebrated Valentines Day at Supper and it was the perfect choice.
One dish better than the next! Super fresh, cozy environs, excellent service, great wine list......no negatives except its diminutive size but that is part of the amazing charm.
Best pasta. Best sandwiches. 3 for 1 brunch drinks.
Food is good, but nothing exceptional or exciting. The waiter told us they had ran out of the nightly special, the osso bucco, which we saw being prepared for another table an hour after we attempted to order it. The poor service left a sour taste in our mouths.
Supper yummy. Great portion sizes. Very accommodating.
Supper is always a solid place to come for a meal. All the Italian classics done well. I had the Priest stranglers with sausage and that was done very well. A bit noisy sometimes but Cody as well. One of my NY faves.
A favorite restaurant with a wonderful ambience and terrific staff.
My friends rave about this place, but I’m not going again. I got the gnocchi with pesto and it was bad, not a sauce at all and had random potato chunks in it. I was at a small table and it was so loud I couldn’t hear my friend speak. No space at all, I had to ask the table behind me to be able to get up to use the bathroom because they had to turn in their chair to scoot in so I could get out of mine (and Vice versa)
Sadly, this was the worst dining experience we have had in New York City since moving here in 2018. I’m honestly baffled how they have a good rating in Opentable the food was tasteless. The pasta soft nothing even close to al dente. The sauce no flavor, the minestrone tased like warm water with vegetables.
Spaghetti al limon always hits the spot. Plus our servers were rlly nice and treated us to dessert
Cash only restaurant, brunch was just ok - dishes are a weird mix of Italian food and eggs
The food was just okay. I've been before and it's amazing so I was a little disappointed. My partner ordered a veal dish which was just deep fried veal with lettuce and tomato on the side which neither of us were expecting. It looked very unappetizing but apparently tasted decent. My tagliatelle with ragu was a bit sweet but other times I've had it, it's delicious so maybe it was just an off night. It is expensive though so I may wait a beat before returning. Large dinner and wine menu so there is something for everyone!
Amazing pasta, service, and atmosphere. Would love to go again!
Communal table although had a reservation and too noisy . A little expensive for a Cash Only place
My favorite chicken parm in the city, it’s unreal
The food here is outstanding, we ordered 7-8 different dishes and no one at the table could figure out which dish was the best.
Food at Supper is great quality. Ambiance is fun and quaint. Unfortunately had a not so pleasant experience with service and seating. We had an 8:30pm opentable reservation, but arrived at 8:15 and upon telling the hostess we had arrived early, she (in an unfriendly/unwelcoming tone) told us to stand outside and wait until 8:30 to return. At 8:30 we returned as instructed, and she said she would now notify the servers to get the table set up. Fast forward to 9pm, we still had not been seated. They claimed to still be setting up the table. Then it came out that a large party had not left and they were waiting to use that table and actually finally instructed them to leave. We finally were seated, 30 min late, at a 4 top table (we were party of 5). After ordering our appetizers and entrees, about 20 min later, they had a larger 6 top table opened up and told us they wanted to move us there (which was in a different dining section). Once we were seated at this table we had a pleasant time as the servers were fine and the food was good. But I am discouraged to attend again with more than 2 people in my party.
The restaurant sat us over an hour after our reservation time and because it is a small entrance, 15 of my friends were stuck waiting outside in the rain. It was extremely disappointing, however, the service was great as they comped is for a lot of the meal. While I appreciated their effort, I will not return.
A must visit any time I’m in NYC! Tight space and it is really loud but that makes it more fun! The food it amazing and Oscar takes the best care of you!
We were seated right away, even though there was a wait (sometimes reservations have to wait forever too!). The place was packed as always, but you never feel neglected or rushed. Service was great and food was amazing. I recommend the spaghetti a limone!
Phenomenal. Like you're eating at Grandma's house. Loud bc it's close quarters but that's expected in NYC. Food is delicious and you can taste the freshness.
Food was great and the service was fantastic! Best Italian in NYC
