We've been to the Music Box many times and always enjoy the music presented and a great meal is a bonus. We had a wonderful time, food was excellent, we loved the band and the service was excellent. We were impressed that your servers are paid $15 an hour and the tip was included the bill. We'll be back!
Don't eat here! Food is usually sub par and very limited menu
The food was awesome, and they offered a cheaper draft beer selection. Top that off with great music that was set just at the right level of noise.
My favorite venue. Good entertainment. Good music!
The need for table reservation is almost pointless. They wanted to sit us at a table with other people not in our party. After finally getting seated the wait staff was very quick in getting our order and drinks to us ( our check total for 2 was $209.92, minus ticket and valet since parking lot was full) The music was great.
Really well made, inventive, tasty and satisfying food that's presented beautifully.
The burgers were cooked as ordered, the perch dinner was excellent.
Music so loud before and during the band break I could not hear the person next to me. It would be nice to chat with friends when the band is not playing. We asked the sound girl to turn it down and I did not notice a difference. Food my friends got Salmon dinner salmon and couple tablespoons of rice no veggie $30. I got the large salad now served on the old small size salad plate. Added salmon for $8. it was maybe an inch wide piece by 5 inches long. Would not recommend either dinners. Very disappointed. Band was top notch! Sad the rest of the experience was so bad.
We always have a great time at the Supper Club and despite what we had experienced at other places, the service here was wonderful. The food (brisket, fish tacos and perch) were all done perfectly and came out in a very reasonable time. The entertainment is always good and we will continue to support the club. There is always something here we want to see.
The open table system for this event was confusing and I would avoid using it for any future events.
The food was good, but over priced. A 20% gratuity was automatically tacked on to my bill.
We made reservations for a book signing and dinner. They sat us all the way in the back behind a pole! Why did I make reservations? To reserve a table in the back behind a pole?? Couldn’t even see the stage!!
Outstanding series. Looking forward to more events
The food was very low value for the portions. Parts were tasty. Seriously, $16 for a single crab cake that couldn't have been more than 3 ounces. The Guac was good though. Service was good just way too pricey with the 20% automatic gratuity which I know doesn't go to the workers.
I don't really wanna write a review. I'm at 50 now
I love the idea of Music Box, and I also love their programming, and food and drink. Where Music Box misses is in its customer service. We were seated for a 545 dinner before a Cleveland Stories Dinner Party, only to have a couple show up at 6 and sit in the table next to us that was closer to the stage (none of us were VIP reserved tables). We should have been given the better table since we got there first.
We ordered the Prix Fixe meal (salad, entree, dessert) which are always imaginative and fun, and also an appetizer. Two food runners showed up 5 minutes later with the appetizer and entree, and were put out when I rejected the entrees. It's pretty basic to NOT serve an entree WITH an appetizer, especially if there should be a salad in-between! The food was great, the drinks were great and the speaker was great. The service team (hostess through servers) need training and some common sense.
The program was very entertaining! But the food was once again just fair. My perch dinner was burned although the fries were tasty. My husband’s Lyonnaise potatoes were still cold on the inside - not tasty at all. Our server was top notch.
We had dinner before the event and it was great for me. They offered a vegan salad which is exactly what I wanted. Wait staff was helpful, patient and friendly.
The Music Box Supper Club opened in 2014. It continues to maintain an excellent facility to say nothing of the great view of the river. We saw Janet Macoska the noted photographer and it was awesome. MikeMiller, the managing partner, is really improving as an interviewer as well.
The food was great. I just didn’t understand a little note from management on every table. It said the employees were being paid $15/hour. Yay!! 😃 And, they were adding 20% “fee” to our bill so prices didn’t have to be increased … and if we got good service go ahead and add a gratuity…. Who is getting the 20% ?
The brunch at Music Box Supper Club was not worth the $20 per person plus 20% gratuity. Food was average at best and the serving table was not quickly restocked with fresh food when quantities ran low.
Nice little brunch, but limited to only breakfast food. Also if you are only a group of two, you will be sitting with strangers.
This was our first visit and we were pleasantly surprised. The food was very good and plentiful. We truly enjoyed the entertainment at the venue as well.
The coffee was terrible. Service took awhile. Other than that it was a great experience.
Food was fine. Service was spectacular. We will definitely be back.
They were very short staffed. The waitress could not be very attentive. The seating was very cramped, and it took a long time to get the table cleared. I never got to order another drink.
We were actually not there for the food but for a show. We decided to try the dessert since we stopped for dinner on the way there. The pie of the day (peach blueberry) was not good. It was comparable to a mediocre store bought pie. However, the food being brought out to the surrounding tables looked and smelled very good. It was a beautiful venue and the atmosphere was very intimate. Aside from one very loud staff member (the show was a poetry reading) and the pie, it was a good experience. We will be coming back and hope to try other items on the menu.
Nice place but the service and food were ok. The food order was basic and bland. It wasn’t worth the price. The service wasn’t the best either as our waiter never came to check on us after taking our food order. We had to flag down other waiters to help us.
The seating was strange too; all the two person tables were squished in the back while the four person tables were up front.
The host also sat people who arrived to the event later in the front; it was also noticeable that all of the black people and other POC were in the back.
The atmosphere was great and the show was amazing! The food was fair, some food items were very bland :( but overall the visit was nice
The sevice was great and the food was great. And the band was great
I had the braised beef, mashed potatoes, and green beans. The food was very tasty but could have been hotter. My guest had the walleye dinner and raved about it. Drinks are pricey, but no more so than other places in the supper club niche. They clearly state 20% gratuity is added to all dinners as they pay their servers $15 an hour. I say bravo to them!
Fun time, great entertainment
The food was good but overpriced. ie...the crab cakes were $16 and there was ONE the size of a golf ball. They were also very understaffed. Our waitress was in a full run the entire night. People were tackling her to get her attention.
The room and the views were very cool. Great band (Reid Project).
My only real complaint was that the moscow mules we ordered tasted as if there was no alcohol in them; they were pretty much tasteless. That was certainly a bitter disappointment considering the price.
Good Adding more
Great find in the city of Cleveland. Good food although the service was a good ad slow, and the show was amazing!
Hi Karen 😊 So glad to hear you had a nice time and enjoyed the show. Thank you for taking the time to review us - we hope your next visit back is even better!
Service on Storyteller Night is very slow … esp lg dark haired bartender.
Hi Ellen We're always looking to improve our food and our service so thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us. We just opened back up to full capacity with a new and full staff so we thank you for your patience in this transition. We hope you'll come back again soon and give us another try!
Only 1 vegan option so we did not eat. They discontinued a stir fry ,the only thing we could eat.
Hi Cathy, Thanks for taking the time to review us. I'm sorry to hear you weren't pleased with our vegan options when you visited. While our Cleveland stories menu is a bit more limited, we hope you come back for a show and try either our full supper club or concert hall menu which has a lot more vegan options! If you'd like to plan ahead you can view both full menus on our website too.
This Thursday evening's dinner was the BEST ever at Music Box!
Hi there! Thanks so much for sharing your awesome experience with us - we LOVE to hear it. We'll let the Chef know and we hope to see you again soon!
Food was delicious. . . Very crowded . . Place was definitely over booked for the event. . Service was fast for the amount of people that were there but the pick up was slow today way too much stuff on the table no one was taking out appetizer plates and then the entree’s came out with four of us at a tiny table it was hard to orchestrate actually eating the food comfortable but over all it was a delicious meal
Hi Kala Thanks for taking the time to tell us about your experience, we're glad you enjoyed the food and the show! That was definitely a busy night for all our staff so thank you for your patience. We're so glad to be back to full capacity now with a new, full staff so we hope you'll give us another chance!
I have done this several times. Always enjoyable and I usually run into friends. Great idea.
Thanks Loretta! I'm so glad to hear you had a nice time and enjoyed the show. We look forward to seeing you again soon!
