for any reservations requirements
Loved the view and the food was good but the service was horrible. I think they were under staffed.
We would definitely go back here. Not only is the view amazing but the food and service is superior
We reserved a table, and we had a special requirement, to get a table by the window or close to it. We got the best table, but we were also lucky because the couple just finished. We were also late, called them and they were really understanding. Everybody was really nice to us, the place is just like on pictures or even better. The view is amazing. The food is really good and isn’t pricey. I absolutely recommend. We were satisfied!
Nice place for a drink. Nice lower floor view of Times Square. Quiet place when I went there. Right next to a hotel lobby. In the summer outdoor space is nice.
We went for brunch and they have not served brunch in over six months the waiter said. However never updated their open table. Service was slow.
Great view wonderful staff and loved our food. Upscale but pricing resonable.
This restaurant turned out to be a nice surprise picked it out of the blue, food was really good, service really good, nice view down Broadway to Times Square with definitely go again
3 of us had a business dinner at Supernova. The lobster rolls were quite pricey and were 80% roll and 20% lobster. I bet there was 2oz of lobster combined in both rolls. The salads were nothing special. I had one with chicken. The chicken tasted like it had been sitting in the fridge for several days - already cooked - then thrown in the microwave and sliced. It tasted like a sneaker. The ambiance was nice, but trust me, you pay for it! The food prices are stupid high, and the food quality, stupid low. I stay at the Novotel quite frequently and the hotel is great. The bar is pretty good, too. But Supernova? Nah...spend your $ somewhere else.
Staff very friendly great place to visit when going to broadway play
Good service, thats all..
Cold food, noisy in the kitchen,
Restaurant was small and crowded. Seemed like only one or two waiters were running around while the manager stood around and chit chatted. We sat forever needing new drinks. I finally went to the bar myself to order them. Food was decent, nothing special. This place has so much potential but it was just another subpar hotel dining option. Service was awful. Definitely not fine dining. The outdoor patio was great for the view of Times Square though so if you want that, go for it!
Splendid! And every way. The best food, perfect portions, and incredible view of time square, and fantastic service! It was our second time there and we will go back soon.
Host was very accommodating when we had to be 20 min late for our reservation. Small menu but everything we had was delicious - apps, salads, main courses. Definitely recommend in the heart of Times Square, with terrific views.
View was amazing of Times Sqaure. The steak, pasta and pizza were all fabulous! Everything about it was wonderful except the waiter. Once he realized we weren’t ordering drinks, appetizers and having a huge bill he disappeared and became almost rude. It was so bad that it was hard to even give him a tip at all.
Food was good, but floor was dirty and tables messy.
Super Nova was a wonderful treat. The view is wonderful (all glass) but the food was very good, too, and the service outstanding.
I chose the restaurant for the view, which turned out to be not impressive at all. Menu has very limited selection since it’s a hotel restaurant. I asked the server to put in the order, with an attitude, he said there are many other people, I have to wait cuz I just came in, when there were clearly 4 people serving max 8 tables...
THE MOST OUTSTANDING VIEW OF BROADWAY AND TIME SQUARE...!!! MY MOM ENJOY HER BIRTHDAY SO MUCH, THANK YOU!!!
It was very nice and enjoyable. They were great and I was a part of a group of 6! Definetly going again soon
I made the reservation here but when I went to the restaurant there was an event. This website gave me a reservation when the restaurant wasn’t even available. It was my birthday and I had no where to go. I am never using this website again and I do not recommend it to anyone.
Specifically made reservations here because they said they had brunch and they don’t! We made reservations and the hostess said oh I’m sorry our dining room is full?! Then we say in lounge area. Food was nothing special. Basically a million restaurants in NY and this one is not worth going to.
The over experience was fine. The waiters were not very attentive with nothing. Not even water. Usually you’ll see better service specially when the place wasn’t busy. Our food took very long. The place was nice but not what I expected when it came to fine dining.
Gorgeous overview of Times Square while dining. Excellent food and service
Reservation was for 3 brought us to a table for 2. Hostess did not even realize what she did. Had us stand in middle of restaurant waiting while she found someone to fix problem . Meatballs served like warm at best.
The hostess was courteous and nice. I arrived earlier than my reservation and was nice enough to seat us early. The service was good. The view of Time Square was nice.
Upon arriving, our party of 6 was told there was no seating after making and confirming a reservation over a month before. We were told a large party came in one hour before and took all of the chairs. We received no notice and were planning to eat there before a show. They left us no time to find an alternative but after several suggestions from us they put a table together and found chairs somewhere. Chairs were too high for table but there was no apology. Don’t go here-terrible management! They do not know how to service customer!
HORRIBLE - Do not go here! They do not know what service is and should not be in the restaurant business ! It is a total waste of time and money !
Lovely view, pleasant staff, meal was tasty but like everything in NY expensive.
Nice view of Times Square and has outdoor seating with the view, so probably great for a dinner/drink at night. We were there Sunday at noon and despite the website indicating that the restaurant was open for breakfast it seemed that they were just opening up and no one was at the front. There was a guy sweeping and he said sit anywhere. I booked this because we had an out of town visitor leaving early afternoon so we were hoping to get a brunch place where you would take a tourist, but all brunch places were booked. This restaurant only had a lunch menu. I think they could be busier if they had a brunch menu since that seems to be the popular thing for Sunday noon.
Arrived a little early for our table that was booked for my sisters 50 th birthday ...
table for 4
On arrival we spoke to the manager Martin Miller who confirmed our reservation but said our table wasn’t ready would we like to sit at a table in the bar area ..
Not a problem we were happy to wait.
After 40 mins we asked a waiter if our table was ready ..
the manager Martin Miller came over & told us that there was no table for us as they were all booked up for a party of 70 people ???
Confused I said I had booked a month in advance so how come there’s no room ? He replied that the tables had been booked up months in advance by this party of 70?? So I said why wasn’t I contacted & why wasn’t I told as soon as we had arrived ??
The manager of the restaurant was useless & I told him so ..
I was so angry & upset for my sister & her special birthday ..
we had no real apologies & not even a drink offered or a percentage off any bill.
I even asked to speak to someone higher than him but there was no one so we eventually left & found a lovely little Irish pub who we told them about it all & we got a table straight away & all our first drinks were free on the house as we had had a crap service at the Novotel .
No no no would never recommend & they need a new manager .
Went to theater about 100 yards away and thought we’d try this place for a light dinner. It turned out to be just fine. Food was good, service excellent. We will return.
Extremely judgmental and pretentious.. I was excited to visit Supernova and show my family the view of Times Square. When we arrived the restaurant was completely empty except for 1 table. As we approached the reception area, the manager immediately eyed us from head-to-toe, apparently we were not up to the standards of the restaurant. Even though the restaurant was empty, he had to deliberate with 2 others on where we could sit and dine. After the conversation, he proceeded to sit us near the back. When I asked for a table next to the window we were informed they were reserved, however the same tables remained empty during our entire dinner. I guess we are not up to New York standards for window tables at Supernova. The funny irony, I’m the CEO of a west coast technology company worth $200 million and eat at 5-Star restaurants regularly. And I always get great tables and service except for Supernova. Not saying this to brag or with any arrogance, simply illustrating the fact my family dines at 5-star restaurants all over the world and only Supernova was too good to allow us to sit at a window table in an EMPTY restaurant. From Hong Kong to Singapore to Europe, London and the U.S., I’ve never seen this type of treatment. If you’re looking for misplaced confidence from a pretentious and judgmental staff, Supernova is the place for you!
We have a 10:30pm dinner reservation but we came in like 7 minutes late coming from a Broadway show. But no one would seat us because they “didn’t think we were coming”. He acted rude like he didn’t care at all. The guy said they would check with someone if they could seat us but basically just left and kept us waiting, so after 15 minutes or so we just decided to leave. I made this reservation for my best friends birthday dinner and it ruin our evening. If they’re not accepting 10:30 dinner reservations then by all means please remove it as an option.
So awful! I crawled through a neon cave to eat tiny portions is badly pepared food!
it is a bar restaurant with a limited menu and a great view of Broadway. The menu is a bit pricey for what they serve.
Always enjoy the view, the food and the service. Extremely accommodating.
We had a great lunch here! Four Moms and Four Sons. We sat at separate tables. :) GREAT view of Times Square and it was like a little oasis from the chaos of the city for a bit. Food was great and cocktails were top notch. Boys all had burgers which were huge and delicious. Staff was super professional and so polished. We were a more casual crew and they still gave us the five start treatment. They did not seemed bothered that we had the teens with us at all. I loved this place!
First time there and it was a great experience. Good food & close to the theatres. Would definitely go there again.
We had a Caesar salad with chicken and the pizza. The chicken was over cooked and unimpressive. The pizza was just ok. Restaurant was not crowded, but service was slow. We were not asked if we wanted drink refills. Disappointing meal.
