Perfect for our larger group of 11.

Perfect service, drinks recommendations and food.

It was all banging.

Food was amazing and fast. The service was impeccable when we got it but unfortunately they were lacking when it came to drink service. We had preordered the banquet and had 3 dishes on the table before we were offered a drink, then it took 10 minutes to get it. They topped up the water every 5 minutes but we would have to flag them down to order more drinks, it was odd and a bit of a drag on a special occasion where we were all celebrating. Can’t fault the food quality or food service though.

It was perfect having the big table right down the back. A great night!

Incredible experience. Service was great and the food was some of the best Asian Fusion I've had. The Lobster rolls were incredible. Wine Pairing was spot on. I would say a must do dining experience if visiting Melbourne.

Food was sensational but it’s very noisy. Would definitely go back but maybe better for 2 people as it was difficult to have conversation across the table when there was 6 of us. It was difficult to hear what the wait staff said each dish was.

Service is excellent and food is the best! The staff is knowledgeable and informative.

We're not Melbourne locals and we were really glad to be back after a few years! Service was extremely attentive ensuring our table was clean, water was always topped up. Food was excellent. It was quite busy so food service was a little bit slow for a banquet menu. Was really looking forward to having the peanut butter parfait again, but this time wasn't as magical as my previous experiences, I think it was a little bit too salty and the crumb base was a bit chewy. It was still great but the first time I had it, it blew my mind, not quite the same experience this time.

Food was good. Variations provided for dietary needs. I liked the big round table for a business lunch. Main drawback was the requirement to book a banquet menu for a bigger group which then took way too long for a business lunch (12.30-3pm!) Needs to be 1.5hours max please!

Loved the overall experience but insisting on a group of 6 having the banquet seems a bit much. 10, for sure but 6 seems a fairly manageable group for a la carte.

The service and food for a larger group was amazing. Everyone loved the lunch and dietary requirements were catered for effortlessly and seamlessly.

Supernormal is a Melbourne institution, and it's easy to see why. The food is delicious and accessible, while the service is truly outstanding. This is about as far from the stuffy fine dining experience as you can get; instead, staff are casual but very attentive – with a seemingly psychic ability to anticipate your needs! My group booking went very smoothly, with all dietary requirements taken into account and a change in the number of guests in our party no trouble at all. The restaurant was easy to reach by phone and confirmed everything with a call to me after I booked through OpenTable, which was reassuring. The $65pp banquet menu is also very good value for money. Great wine and cocktails too! We loved our meal at Supernormal.

We were very disappointed to be seated at the table we had booked well in advance and then sat for 17 minutes until we finally asked if we could order a drink. This was particularly annoying as we had been told very rudely as we sat down - here is the banquest menu - you have to be out by 815pm

We had a group of 10 and it worked out well. We had a communal table that can fit at least 10

I booked a group reservation for a busy Saturday night and I was highly satisfied with the service. Our waiter was accommodating to our group and even requested a sommelier to assist with our drinks. The $69 banquet was delicious and the portions were appropriate. Our table was located at the back of the restaurant so the noise wasn’t too bad. Overall I would definitely recommend Supernormal and would love to go back.

Booked due to friends recommendation, we had no choice but the banquet, food was ok, nothing special. There are better experiences in Melbourne for food at this price point.

The food was amazing, the service was fantastic. Couldn't believe how busy it was so early in the evening! Despite the number of fellow diners we never felt like we had to wait for service. It was a great night.

An interesting night with a few issues for a $1000 experience:
1. Bookings didn’t state that a banquet was required or that we had to leave by 8pm
2. Daughter was served a dish with nuts after we clearly specified it was an allergen
3. Children served fish after we asked for no fish option
4. Noise and size of table made it impossible to have a conversation except with immediate seat
Overall not nearly worth the cost for the food, service or ambiance
