Superior Grill - New Orleans
The food was fantastic and the service was impeccable. The ambiance was very homey and comfortable.
Last min booking when in New Orleans. Worth the tram ride out. Great food, baby ribs to die for and salsa
Great food, fantastic drinks! Will definitely return
I used to come to Superior all of the time before Katrina. (I lived in the Touro area.) Never had a bad experience so decided to meet some friends here for lunch on Labor Day, 2019. Granted, I’ve lived in Houston for 10 years, so maybe my tastes have changed for Tex Mex. The margaritas were awful & the food was just so so for the price. In addition, our waiter had an attitude when he got our bill wrong. Never again !!!
My husband and I sat at the bar with Matt and had the most delicious frozen margaritas I’ve ever had! We decided to get a table for brunch and Devon suggested the steak and eggs and it was phenomenal, the potatoes were amazingly soft and seasoned perfectly. The staff and the atmosphere was amazing.
The sever was slow this time. However they were packed. But he got a few drinks wrong. It could be because he couldn’t hear anything we were saying because it was to loud! We go here often and it’s never this loud!!
I would rename this SUB PAR GRILL. We had the worst service I have had in many years. It was the girls first week, but she has no business working in food service. Either she had no training or the training and support on the floor was terrible!!!! My daughter's drink arrived AFTER her entree. All entree's came at different times. My older daughter'w first, then about 5 minutes later my younger daughters followed by her drink 5 minutes later and finally my husband and my fajitas to share. Both daughter's were finished by the time the fajitas arrived. The chicken and steak was cooked fine, but laid on a pile of onions with a single slice of raw tomato and a single slice of raw green pepper. So basically protein and a zillion onions. No dishes were ever cleared from the table. We were sitting with dirty dishes everywhere and the waitress delivered my daughter's key lime pie and left. I had to ask her to remove the dishes. She took one pile in one hand and left, the other hand empty. She delivered our check and to go boxes and still did not remove any dirty dishes. No refills offered on drinks, water, or tortilla chips ever. I will never go back to this place. In a city known for its cuisine I cannot wait to find better Mexican food and much better service. If you are going to serve very average food and deliver crappy service - your prices should reflect what you offer and they do not. Very overpriced for what it is.
Great place. Atmosphere awesome. Staff top notch
Our waiter was outstanding, manager is welcoming and pleasant and food is good. However we were seated next to a table where the people were simply vulgar. F-word among other curse words were dropped in every sentence; they were loud and had the table manners of barn animals...licking fingers loudly, chewing with mouths open and talking loudly with mouths full of food, food spewing out of their mouths; cackling loudly and standing up at the table to tell loud stories that we had no choice but to listen to because of the volume and their boorish behavior ...it was gross. We should have left, but we already ordered our dinner and did not want the waiter to lose out on a tip.
First time dining for brunch and it was great. The margaritas are fantastic—never disappoint—and our server Chris was amazing. Will definitely be back soon!!
Had a great time and our server Chris was awesome!
Lovely atomosphere. 1 marg will get you there haha
We eat there frequently but, first time there for brunch and it was great!. The drink and food options for brunch were wonderful.
Superior Grill is our favorite Mexican food restaurant in New Orleans! My Texas-born and raised husband loves it. A great place for a family celebration!
It was July 4th and we should be happy for someone being open. However, the food and margarita were O.K., nothing special. The tuna tacos were good but not great. The service and welcome were excellent. The price was over $100.00 for two and way too expensive for this type of food. It will be a while before we return , if ever.
Exceptional service. Food was ok, not bad but certainly not great.
Amazing as always, the temperature was hot by the bar on that day customers and the bartenders were noticeably sweating
Good food and service - get the ribs- margaritas in a styrofoam cup not a good idea
We frequent Superior Grill quite often and this was by far the worst experience we’ve ever had. If it would have been our first time there, we definitely wouldn’t be going back. We were there to celebrate Father’s Day and they made it awful. Our server was extremely slow and seemed put out when we had questions or asked for things. We never received any waters so we had to stop a random server walking by and requested two waters with lemon. When he came back with just waters, we asked about the lemons and he told us they were out of lemons. No problem, yet our own server brought us lemons about 5 min later with the waters we had requested from her about 15 min prior. My food came out with extra fixings as I had ordered it plain. I sent it back and all they did was scrape off the extra toppings and give it back to me cold. I could have done that. The meat was also tasted questionable and I ended up not even eating my meal as it was gross at that point. It was hard to get consistent service as the server would disappear from time to time, especially when we wanted to pay and get out of there. The table and area around us was filthy as well. :(
I was disappointed today:( which truly saddens me:(
Went for our annual Father’s Day lunch/dinner.
Upon arrival, greeted promptly I must say, I was shock it wasn’t busy at all.
We were seated promptly!
As we sat down and looked around we noticed right away someone else was eating a rack of ribs and were this has happened twice+ before A long time ago while eating here on a Father’s day and on Mother’s Day.....
Needless to say when 3 out of 4 people in my party ordered ribs and were told multiple minutes later, “I’m so sorry, we are out of ribs”!!!
Awesome value and services!
I had reservations for 6:30, but got there a bit early and was seated very quickly. The waitress was attentive and took our orders and we did not wait long to receive our food. The food and drinks were good.
Everything aside from the service and the chips was atrocious. I’ve lived here for 3-4 years. This has been my worst food experience in New Orleans.
Muy BUENO! ALWAYS GREAT food, service and staff! Always feel like family here! Been dining here for years and look forward to many more years of great dining!
Our service was slow for dinner, but we weren't in a hurry, so it was ok with us. The food from appetizers to dinner was delicious.
The noise level especially in the main dining area is extremely loud. Luckily, we were seated in a smaller area that wasn't as loud, but still loud. We still enjoyed it.
CC was awesome
Great spot to sit on St. Charles Ave. and watch the streetcars. Margaritas were delicious. Best Happy Hour in New Orleans.
We have been to Superior grill many times. The food has always been great. This time we went for brunch, early on a Saturday. The food was good and is a decent value for what you get. We were a little disappointed in the drinks. The sangria had a strong chemical/bitter taste to it and the tequila sunrise was too sweet, obviously from a mix. The margaritas here are usually good so we aren't sure if they're sangria and tequila sunrise recipe is sub-par or maybe they just had a new or poorly trained bartender working. Next time we'll stick with margaritas.
Superior Grill is always amazing!!! We never have a bad time and we will go back again and again!
Consistently great service, hot food and cold drinks
It was ok but they ha very loud party and they had my order wrong and the waiter told me they don’t know if they take my food back so I didn’t worry about it
Good food and the waitstaff was very attentive without hovering.
First time and it was great. Server was awesome! Def will be back
Big fan of the 3 for 1 margarita deal! I liked the Supreme Crab Enchiladas with their rice, as well as the guacamole and queso for the chips 😋
We are repeat customers and love Superior, and dine often at Superior. Never before have we had such an experience. The waiter took 10 minutes to come to the table the first time for drink order. When bringing drinks dropped them off and did not ask about us ordering or getting appetizer. Finally, returned took order and left. Food never came, my husband got a second glass of wine, then he reappeared and said he dropped ticket and needed us to reorder. We did so with no complaint even though it was probably 35 minutes. Food finally arrived, we ate and never saw our waiter again. Finally, after an eternity I told the hostess when she passed that we were going to leave if we did not get a check soon. The waiter appeared shortly like we were being unrealistic and reached for my husbands credit card to let us pay. He did not even have our check!! My husband lost it, how dare he grab for someone’s credit card and not have bill. You don’t ever try to grad card, it is given to you!! After my husband cursed, and I prodded him to go get the check he did so, otherwise, he would have continued asking what did I do, dude!! He returned and we paid in cash leaving left over coin change for gratuity. He will never wait on us again and watching his other tables (he was not slammed) he was not any better.
Server was slow and unattentive. Noise level was unbearable. Area was full of flies. Not a pleasant experience.
The server was friendly and prompt, even with a full restaurant. While serving three large families and two bachelorette parties, we never felt neglected. The food was excellent. We had a great time and I look forward to returning.
Great time over drinks. It can get pretty loud though.
The staff and the service was very top notch. No complaints whatsoever....especially considering this was a same day booking.
